Hi Janica! Nice video again. I still like the way give attention to the background of the places you visit, like the history of Giethoorn and the famous movie Fanfare. I've been there several times. Sure it's best to come early and hire a "fluisterboot". Being almost alone on the canals is beautiful. And imagine in winter, with ice on the canals and lots of skating people. Like that!

I love this place.... lekker punteren (pushing the boat forward with a stick as in pointing)! Was wondering when you were in Zwolle, why u didn't go to Giethoorn. Nice you address the history as well. The city was "created" by extracting peat from the ground around their area/houses while in two large floods (1776 & 1825) the land flooded, hence you got canals everywhere and lakes close by. BTW, these houses you find in small villages around Den Bosch as well when you do a cycling tour in the dune area.

@@JanicasJourneys In that area, there is also Kamp Vught. A memorial at a former WWII concentration camp and quite a lot of castles and mansions. It is all the same area.

Olen lähdössä ensikuussa yksin tuonne reissuun, osaatko sanoa kuinka lähelle bussi menee vai suositteletko auton vuokrausta, minulla vain kolme kokonaista päivää käytettäväksi ja suunitelmissa käydä tuolla ja keukkenhoffissa ja jossain kaupungissa Amsterdam ei niinkään kiehdo turisti määrän vuoksi. Onko sinulla suositella jotain ihanaa päivä kohdetta? Hotelli jossa majoitun on aivan lentokentän kupeessa.

Päästäkseen tonne bussilla sun pitäis eka ottaa juna Zwolleen ja sieltä mennä bussilla, joten ehkä auton vuokraus voisi olla parempi ja nopeampi vaihtoehto! Ihana päivä kohde Amsterdamista voisi olla esimerkiksi Haarlem tai Utrecht! Haarlem on noin 15 minuutin junamatkan päässä ja Utrechtiin kestää junalla noi 30min 😊 Haarlemista pääsisit kans helposti bussilla Keukenhoffiin!

@@JanicasJourneys Hei kiitos vinkeistä, mietin myös onko kuinka kallista matkustaa Taxilla? Hotelli on aivan Juna aseman vieressä ja tuota U lla alkavaa kaupunkia olinkin miettinyt yhdeksi kohteeksi. Auton vuokraus vähän hirvittää kun en ole aijemmin Hollannissa käynnyt että onko liikenne kuinka hurjaa tai ruuhkaista.

@@kettukarkki2025 Taxi on aika kallis (saman hintasta ku mitä suomessa) ja toi Giethoorn on vähän kaukana Amsterdamista.. Voit koittaa laittaa google mapsiin et kauanko menis Amsterdamista sinne. Liikenne ei oo hurjaa mut ruuhkaa voi olla! Julkinen liikenne toimii tosi hyvin 👍🏼
