I loved that you showed the tunnel and the fact that it looks the same on both ends! I laughed when you added water to the Italian coffee. My grandfather was landing in Naples during WWII and for some reason, he was able to get Italian coffee there that the Americans all had to put water in because it was too strong. The Italians began calling that combination an "Americano", which can still be ordered today across the United States. I also laughed a little at your comment on the pizza. Normally you're saying that there's too much of something, and this time you said the opposite! You must have been really hungry! The Roman ruins are always something interesting to see. What did you think of them? Have you seen anything similar where you live? In case you were curious about the two planes that flew overhead, the Cessna-styled plane in the front was pulling the one in the back as the plane in the back was a glider and has no engine. They get up in altitude and use heat rising from the ground in "thermals" to gain elevation. They can remain in the air for quite some time. I enjoyed seeing you like the mountains as much as you did. Some people are exactly the opposite and can not handle being in the mountains and they prefer wide open spaces where they don't feel claustrophobic. If you love the mountains that much you ought to consider living someplace where you are in the mountains. You'll naturally feel at home there. Thank you for bringing us all along on your family adventure!

Absolutely love the mountains. Where I am in central Maryland it's a little hilly, but the Appalachians are 100 miles west and on the rare occasion I get out there, it's always beautiful. Nothing like the Alps of course, but compared to here, creates a nice horizon. Props to the driver on the return trip taking those turns at speed like that. Well done. 😉

What can you say other than WOW! Absolutely stunning sceneries. Also the production quality has improved as well, great camera work and quality. Hey the moment you bring your cameras, it becomes a FrenchTastic trip. This was really a great video, super chill, with lots to see, very relaxing and enjoyable. The remains of antique Roman buildings are amazing, incredible how they have lasted for so long. From start to finish this is A+ Thanks again for sharing your trips with us. 😉🤜

Fabulous, Marie! I share your fascination for the mountains, and those jagged peaks around Mont Blanc are truly breathtaking! A few years ago I stayed in a Swiss village called Villars-Sur-Ollon in the mountains above Lake Geneva. You could see the beautiful Mont Blanc massif from there…50km away! Your video also reminds me how amazing it is to be able to cross the borders so easily in mainland Europe…something not possible here in UK, (especially after Brexit 😕). So amazing to be able to do a day-trip to beautiful neighbouring country 💜

Did a fair amount of traveling when I was younger. One trip was to Italy and Austria. Both countries were amazing. The culture, the people, the scenery and architecture..magnifica! Took a train from Venice to Vienna right through the alps. Stunning. Thank you for taking us along on your trip. Brought back some memories for me. tc, stay cool. ❤🍨🍸

From Venice to Vienna is through the Dolomite section of the Alps. The peaks have a different look than the classic alpine peaks to the west.

Hi Marie! To make such a professional fun video when you are on your family's vacation is truly amazing! ("You can make noise Mom "😄) Your opening drive sets the stage for all that follows, it was so captivating with all those high snow-covered peaks and forests, and even a hot air balloon (I have never ridden)! Then seeing the stunning cloud-shrouded Mont Blanc gave me chills! That tunnel line is insane (Your camera case is so colorful 😀), and the tunnel is fascinating with the 150 m separation marked by lights (instructions explain) - such a cool ride to pop out in Italia (as you said, "exactly the same"), beautiful! Your mom's smile behind you is adorable @ 2:52! Courmayeur is really pretty (cool Dinosaur and flowered bushes to greet you). Such a colorful place (matches your all's pretty colorful clothing 😊), and has bunches of pizzerias and shops, with the stamp library and that cute train I think I would want to ride. The guys in Vimercate took me after lunch to their little cafeteria coffee sample to see my American face when I tasted it, but I was very used to the strong taste - it was funny, because it disappointed them, lol! The Roman ruins are really fun to see here, and also later. I thought Aosta's stone archways were a cool entrance, with all sorts of bridges and flags, and the cute dog who really liked you :) ! All the food looks great, along with your pizza (when I ordered my pizza in Vimercate, it was also very thin with very few toppings of peppers, not much on it - I ignorantly ordered pepperoni instead of salami, lol). Those animal stools were so cute. The carving of Christ in the manger was really nice, and the Italian statues and fountains were so pretty. I think both the woman and man were holding pitchforks too. The Hotel De Ville had such a beautiful entrance, and I think a war veteran memorial that covered the periods of both World Wars. That Roman Theatre was amazing, as was the model. Interesting that it was hot for you all then, but in the mountains it got cold. Wow - I love the archaeological museum, and was that a glass floor you seemed to walk on?? Wow!! All that pottery, jewelry, that really long petrified sword were just fabulous - so interesting! I guess because of the border as you say, that everything is in either French or Italian (Italian is close enough to Spanish to help me). The Cryptoportico Forense was beyond anything I have ever seen, surround the "sacred area" of the forum, and all lit up! (If you ever need something to do, I think you could be one of the world's greatest tour guides 😉!!) The shops you then showed had so many varied offerings, and what a sight to see with that 5-Century old tree, split by the storm (maybe lightning?). Your refreshments made me hungry (as a single person my whole life, and not being a very good cook, that snack food and drinks sometimes represents my entire dinner 😂🤣!!!). I love back roads, and have all my life (well known to my family and friends - they kid me about it), but I loved your back roads to avoid that unbelievable tunnel car line!! That was so very cool, with not only beautiful and relaxing scenery you would miss inside the tunnel, but when you sped up the video, I actually felt like I was there driving with you -- so FUN 😁! I also loved seeing the stop you made where the sign had Switzerland then Col Du Petit Saint Bernard then France. 2188 m is nice and high! And how interesting to see the two Saint Bernards, the eagle, the groundhog, the cows, and the mountain climbing animals (the goat and maybe an Ibex??)! You spotted Mont Blanc and saw the couds retreat from it, while you were in that amazing INSIDE place surrounded by all the mountains - oh wow, overwhelming beauty and expanse! I am like you, I truly LOVE the mountains, and feel so happy when I get to travel to them (it has been decades, unfortunately 😥), but as you said, and I so very much agree, you will never get tired of seeing the beauty of mountains, God's amazing handiwork!!! Marie, you probably cannot realize how wonderful it is for me to go along these trips with you (and your wonderful family too 😊) to places I will never be able to see in person in my life. You should see all my notes I wrote down, and all the screen shots I saved from this video for my laptop 😂🤣! I want to thank you with all my heart for taking us on this exciting Italia trip with your video (and all of your videos)!!! 🥰❤ I see that you visited Alsace again, on your family adventure! Please take care of you, and all your family! 🙏❣☺!

Wow those Alps!!!! Such splendor! I'm very envious of your trip - I would love to spend a lot of time there. The tunnel looks fun but personally I would prefer to take the longer, scenic "short" roads to explore and see more if time wasn't of the essence. I'm happy you were able to take such a nice trip with your family - thank you for bringing us all along too! Travel safely! :0) 🐺

@5:40 typical Roman pizza. When you come to New York City, you can order the same. In California, once in a while I go to a local restaurant 15 miles away that serves New York City food. I was in Rome in 2003. I flew on an airline that United Airlines bought. Continental Airlines.

What a wonderful video Marie. The scenery was so beautiful 🤗 First, I have to ask, were you tempted to take a Hot Air Balloon ride 🤣 The mountains looked so majestic, and I too could look at them forever. The cities you went to were beautiful and the museum was so nice. I love checking out Roman ruins. The architecture is so amazing! I bet your lunch was pretty good, I really like Italian food. Also, the stop at St. Bernard's looked pretty cool. The wood carvings looked really nice. Can't wait for your next video 🤭 BTW, you always seem to find the cutest animals to film 😍 Take care and stay safe 🙏🥰

Ciao Marie, cume tutto 🏞️ 🌺🏛️ 🍕🐕 Wow! Your both so fortunate to drive around such Heavenly mountain views , it never grows old , despite the pricey toll it's so worth the visit. Courmayeur was so charming with its market shops & so many cute doggies, it's a town that makes a good impression for all those discovering Italy for the first time, I did wonder if it's just french & Italian accents you heard there like the shop signs. Carrying on your journey the picturesque chapel with its artistic expression of Mary & the saints outside which isn't seen that often elsewhere can be appreciated wherever your religious or not & those Theatre ruins were remarkable how they've stood the test of time & from your picture would have been quite striking to act in back then. It's always so enlightening to go to a museum whose relics come from near by, I definitely recognized those Celtic torcs & long sword because there my answer i found it particularly fascinating , the mosaic of the lady with flowers in her hair makes you imagine how important & wealthy she was , it's hard to believe it's really that old, they had plenty of interesting items including your favourite amethyst. Going down in the crypto was a little eerie, you could have picked up some spooky vibes , back above I also enjoyed all the fountains with there mythological statues, with it being so hot you could have filled up a flask rather than pricey bottled water with micro plastics in it, there was lots of lovely things to see , hope you brought back some souvenirs. I bet your both pleased you skipped the tunnel & took the long way home (that's a song) across the border, it's funny & pleasing that you included an accordion playing along the way, it's so majestic & peaceful , I'm happy for you that had some magic moments there , Saint Bernard & all the other carved animals were amazing, you have to admire anyone with such a skill, whittling an enjoyable way to pass the time when your sitting down by the river but that's on another level. On a finishing note thanks for sharing your day trip,I can quickly see it becoming one of everybody's favourites , Italy's such a popular destination I believe your visit Pisa & take a ride on a gondola in Venice & get to taste a pizza in Rome, there's so many more marvelous moments to look forward to. You have my word as soon as I open my new bank account, becoming one of your patreon is the first thing I'll do Addio prenditi cura 🤗 💛✌️✨
