Lunenburg in Nova Scotia always looks great. It is one of the most picturesque British Colonial Era towns in the entire Canada, the “Old Town” of Lunenburg is well known for its rich history in ship building and involvement in the fishing industry. Now it attracts thousands of tourists, you can hear many languages downtown. People coming on cruise ships to nearby Halifax choose Lunenburg as a day trip excursion site quite often as well. Seafood in the harbor restaurants is incredible, they bring it from the fishboats and cook for you right there. It is also the best place to experience the magical architecture. Waterfront houses and sheds look more Icelandic than British if you ask me, but feel free to disagree.
Lunenburg is an amazing destination for a day tour from Halifax and is one of the most worthwhile travel destinations in Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada as a whole.
