Kyle's comments in the background when she's showing all of her stuff from the thrift store is pure gold that's pretty much my reaction on my wife shows me all the stuff she just went bought
I own an off-grid cottage in eastern Ontario. Long drives in the country are not the same as the city. There's no stopping and no traffic - just beautiful scenery: very calming.
Cierra I love how at ease you've become talking to us thru your videos. You and Kyle have done a wonderful job. I look forward to watching you guys with my grandkids. My granddaughters love Cierra.
Thank you Cierra for sharing you day with everyone Enjoy watching you and Kyle and Skeeter Love also watching chickens they react to you all just like my cats glad to see you and happy sounds Take care and see you next video
As always I love yours and Kyle's videos, you guys no doubt were made for each other. After seeing that eagle feeding along side that beautiful tree lined road on your way to Ely made me think the best things in life really are free, you just gotta be there to enjoy it.
I really enjoy seeing what you are up to! Your attitude and enthusiasm are wonderful! Thrift stores are wonderful for great cast iron pans/pots and decorating treasurers, also great wool clothing items! You are definitely on the right track! Thank you for sharing!
One thing to maybe try, here in Canada we have milk that is fine filtered and the expiry date is much longer. You could buy a litre carton to try and a 1/2 litre of the other one you showed us. The filtered milk cost more but throwing out milk is expensive too! I have this same issue and that was my solution. Awesome video's Cierra!
Oh wow, that’s the first time I’ve hear Skeeter bark like that and it brought back instant memories of the sound of my Grandpa’s springer mix barking at chipmunks💕 That’s why I love your channel and Kyle’s, all the forgotten memories.
Love the video, Skeeter was having a blast 💥. Love the purple flannel. It looks like the boards on the front door are shrinking, time to seal that, it’s gotta be a little drafty there! Thanks for the video? ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
cracks me up with Kyle in the back ground being like thats so cute lol reminds of my boyfriend he would do that to me lol but I think that your channel will grow a lot because your channel is so relatable.
I also love flannel shirts - I have thin ones, thick ones, insulated ones. Buffalo plaid is my fave color, but I have them in many colors - I even have one in the color you are wearing! At 78, they are my cool/cold weather staple! Plus I ahve a buffalo plaid cap with ear flaps. My dog has a matching buffalo plaid coat, and we both have fleece Packer jackets!
Great presentation! I have a great love for my Pendelton wool flannel shirts too! They have never let me down in the cold. Stay healthy and be kind. Love always!
Cierra what I love about your channel is when you cook meals for you and Kyle O know dont let for get skitter yes I love to watch you cook gives me idea's any way great channel God Bless
Really enjoy the day in the life videos and how you both talk as if we are really there. Feels like I am. I always have to eat something after I watch one of your videos (when you cook, or bring home take out). The cabin looks so cozy. Thanks for sharing. --TGG
Kyle being a wise a** about your thrift mugs had me cracking up. But I like your thought for them & I love glass mugs. They hold heat nicely too. My tip for milk.. buy a qt, pour half into a zip lock bag and freeze it. when the qt from the fridge is done rinse it out, defrost the bag of milk and put it in the clean empty bottle
I live alone & a quart was not enough, but if I bought a half gallon it would spoil before I used it all. I spend a little more for organic milk and I never have spoiled milk anymore. If you buy a half gallon of organic milk it will last for over a month. I haven't had any spoil.
Very interesting vlog as always cierra a shopping vlog would be nice to see different shops I love the flannel shirt suits you and you're home is lovely coming on a treat take care🏠🐕
Love the new flannel! It looks great on you!! Lol I'm eating Chinese right now 😂 Those are awesome mugs 👍 can always find a good deal at a thrift store. Love to see that you're getting more comfortable and confident making videos, great job!!
Hot cocoa is always better with milk. I love the new mugs. The clear glass looks cool. I hear you on having a nice drive. Very relaxing and gives you some time for yourself.
I feel so stupid, I mentioned in one of Kyle's videos that I wondered if he doesn't feel cold but now I know he wears flannel jackets which are warm lol. 🙈. The flannel jacket looks good on you. I love the colour. I also love your sofa it looks so comfortable and cozy. The mugs are cute. Cerrato, I have the same milk problem. I use long-life milk in carton boxes. I can even keep it unrefrigderated for days even after opening the carton, even better refrigerated. The good part is you can have cartons on milk and you'll never have to run out. You can buy maybe 4 or 6 and refrigerate one carton at a time and you can use it for a long time after you've opened it, it doesn't go bad quickly. Thats how i manage. So lasts longer and is cost efficient. Love you guys❤
To solve your milk problem buy a half gallon, put half in a glass jar or plastic container (allowing space for expansion) and freeze. Freezing the milk will reduce the nutrients a little but other than that it will be fine.
love it, and look how good skeeter listens, I would have to chase after my dog, she will keep going to get whatever she is going after. You are a lot braver than me to drive in the snow, I am a great driver, but when cell phones came into play, my driving is done when it is snowing only, and if the roads are like you described I will turn around and wait a whole day if I have too. If a snow mobile could do the job, I would use one of those instead. Stay Strong and lots of love and light to you both.
Thanks for the video Cierra! If you like thrift stores check out the Hospital Thrift Shop in Cook, MN sometime. It’s only open Thursdays, Fridays and occasional Saturdays 9-3 in the winter. Lots of cookware and the prices are low enough to tempt a tight-fisted an old Fin like me! BTW, I’m driving out to Lake Vermilion from Mendocino, CA right now for my annual ice fishing and chill solitude trip. 🤣 See you around!
#1. Since we've been drinking non-dairy milk we don't waste as much. It takes a little getting used to but I like it now. We drink soy milk. #2. Swiss Miss is the bomb! #3. I love flannel. It's the best part of winter. I honestly think I would wear it year-round if I could accept its Uber hot down here (California). #4. I love your clear mugs. I love that they are clear and also big. They are great for soup also.
Do like I do and buy a gallon of Milk at a time. Fill up about 3/4 of a half gallon container for use and freeze the rest. Just before the half gallon container is gone, start thawing out the rest of the gallon.
Hi Cierra, Love your channel, you could eat soup out of them cups. Of course, Kyle>s channel is the bomb, He is what every father hopes for in a son, Been following you both for a good while, I am 67 years old and would have loved to life the life you both do, Wishing you both the very best in life.
We usedt have the same problem with milk going bad. We buy a brand called horizon organic, has a very long date (ultra pasteurized). Might be hard to find in your neck of the woods but walmart might carry it.
I know what you mean about the milk. What I started to do, even though it's a bit more expensive, is to get the "organic" milk. It lasts for like two and a half to three months!
Great video and so Happy you share. The fix I found for the milk is to freeze in pint jars, just leave a inch of head space for expansion. I just take out the day before and it throws in the fridge. Wa La. This is my fix and hope you try.🌸
Looks like this cabin is so much more comfortable then the tiny trailer house. Noticed a couple of gaps in the door (light coming though the gaps) - possibly the wood is drying out? Maybe you can find a nice used small woven rug at to hang on the inside of the door for winter to stop drafts?
Love your flannel,. I haven’t seen a pink one up here in northern bc. But will keep looking. I know what you mean about the drive to town. The small town is about an hour away and the bigger town is an hour and half each way. So lots of time to chat or like you say listen to a book on tape etc. great video
Milk... I am widow and live alone, I had the same issue with milk till I found this out... add a pinch of salt to milk as soon as you open it, shake it up and it will keep it fresh for a week or so past the expiration date (I promise you will not taste the salt). Also, keep it in the back of the fridge on a shelf, it maintains a more constant temp.
I was hoping to see the thrift store. I like the old metal pots with lids and handles. Usually ceramic coated, any color. You mentioned you were a dance instructor, Cierra. What kind of dance? Skeeter is keeping the fox away from the chickens. Just doing his job. Lol
Hi Cierra : ) ... just to let you know, you can use "sour milk' to make pancakes, biscuits, coffee cake etc ~ that said, I personally don't use it if it's 'too' old but, like yours was, it was probably fine. Tfs, & I love Skeeter ! HAGWknd : )
Maybe Kyle can build you a small coffe bar and you can display and use in cool mason jars cinnamon , vanilla powder, cinnamon sticks etc... we would love to see that all come together !!
Have you ever thought about using full cream milk powder for the times that you run out of regular milk or when it has gone off ? Lasts forever as well !
I have the same problem with milk, small one is not enough and bigger is too much, I just use it for cooking so I buy the powdered milk, just make what you need.
