We gather supplies in town, meet and get help by our amazing neighbors, plant seeds in our vegetable and herb garden, build our garden soil with seaweed, continue to build the platform for our amazing Yurt, and top it all of with admiring amazing Orca "Killer Whales" at sunset. The experience with the Orcas (Killer Whales) was incredible for us. I edited the audio on my external microphone higher and sharper so you can hear the Orca sounds (breathing) and used the zoom lens I have for my Canon 80D to try and video some incredible sights of these amazing ocean mammals! We were easily over 400-1000 meters away from the Killer Whales and only boated off to the side of their pod (never boating into them nor cutting them off). Then, turned the engine off for about 20-30 min to hear them and not interfere with their communication under the water. Then, without warning the big male (big daddy) emerged to check us out! We have 8 acres of forest property sandwiched in between the Pacific Ocean, a fresh water lake, and a stream which flows year round from the lake into the ocean. For over nearly 10 years I grew a fruit tree, permaculture, garden, and native edible plant, herb, and raised bed garden food forest. You can still watch all the garden videos of my old desert garden in Arizona. I was born in British Columbia and I have returned to the Rain Forests of British Columbia to a "Raw Land" property to grow my 1st FULL EDIBLE FOOD FOREST Off Grid on a wilderness property. This climate is temperate and coastal, rarely seeing snow in the winter and highs in the 80's (30 Celsius) in the summer. It is a rare microclimate that spans from gardening zone 7-9. The property is 8 acres and completely overgrown, mostly with conifer trees. This area is a verifiable rain forest and situated in the Southwestern-most tip of the Canadian "Great Bear Rain Forest". Orcas are stunning! I used to do this with family. We would take a boat out, turn off the engine and drift and they would come right up to the boat. Fantastic capture! Another beautiful video! You make me miss this area so much! I wish I could do the same. As a Botanical Artist, the PNW is amazing inspiration! Spent many years at the Butchart Gardens! Well done! Would be fun to build a tree house!

I’m not sure what that was but it was interesting for sure.
