Louis playing the "didgeridoo" and proceeding to say "I've still got it 😃" was major Dad behavior and I'm here for it 😂❤️ always love watching your journey together and so excited to watch this new journey for you two!
I finally have internet to get caught up on my favs!! Eee love watching you both settling into your Brighton life 🥰 can't wait to visit soon ... should I bring Taco, Cat, Goat, cheese pizza?! also, that morrocan lantern feels like a little piece of Lee in your home now! love it
Having one of those days where my depression has the better of me, and can’t seem to leave my bed. Dreaming of sunny days and seeing you guys by the ocean made my heart happy.
@@RayaandLouis an unexpected and much appreciated reach out. Thank you. Watching you guys, Kara and Nate, and Eamon and Bec is so refreshing. Congratulations on the pregnancy.
I been there my self being stuck in a wheel chair and on a trilogy vent kinda nixes my travel plans watching vlogs is my escape you just gotta take it a day at a time and surround yourself with positivity.
For me, following your journey through parenthood and your daily lives is a wonderful way to stay connected with your subscribers, also your vegan experiences and thrift shop buying is wonderful.
I'm enjoying seeing this more relaxed chapter of your life! Recently my husband and I have gotten in to buying things second hand, helps the wallet and the environment so it's a win-win. Plus I truly think all our older pieces of furniture are more well-made then the modern pieces.
Hi Raya! A few months ago on IG I told you you're wedding retreat inspired me to join a yoga studio. I did it with my mental health in mind, no other reason. I'm happy to say I've done 64 classes, I'm on class #17 to complete 30 classes in 60 days and I have until 3/5 to do it!!! I've grown so much in all the ways! That's why I follow your channel. You guys inspire me to be better. And give wonderful ideas on how to do so. Thank you for being you, both of you!!! Love from Vancouver, WA 🇺🇸
I love thrifting!! I am an interior designer and my entire home is thrifted. My style is a very minimal design with natural elements. I wanted my home to look like a magazine without paying luxury price. Absolutely prefer thrifting and yard sales over going to a retail store.
Upcycling, thrifting, how you’re starting your home garden, vegan spots in Brighton (I visited in 2017 and I think about Food for Friends all the time), Raya’s feminine meditation room and Louis’ workshop projects, I’m here for all of it. 😊
Supporting you to be more settled and stay in one place! It's hard but worth it. Don't feel pressured to be travelling around and entertaining everyone. Love
This is probably my favorite vlog ever on whole RU-vid. It feld so calming and fun watching you building up your home and explore the world of building roots and settle on a place. I really think that humans need to settle for some time to really connect to a place and feel like being bonded to the community and culture. I love that you experience that together while you are becoming a family. It really suits to the nest instinct we women have when we are getting pregnant. It‘s lively to watch how you enjoy the calming down and built up routines. ❤️
Head along the coast to Seaford. A visit to view the Seven Sisters Cliffs is a must. Also a short drive inland to Lewes. It’s a town that is historic and has a really cool vibe and loads of great places to eat and cool shops. I live on the Sussex coast and am privileged to watch the sunset into the sea everyday! Welcome to your new home and enjoy your nesting phase xx
I grew up with my dad taking me to Sunday boot sales and charity shops and now I’m older I love thrifting! We have a 4 month old daughter and the hand me down clothes have really helped us - like you said they grow out of them so quickly and we love passing them onto others once she’s outgrown them 😊
Loved the charity shop haul! A good thing to hunt out is muslin cloths, you will use lots and lots and lots of them when your baby eventually arrives. So include them in your hunt for sustainable things. I sold all my muslins at a second hand baby fair.
When we bought our 1st home our daughter was 8 mos old!, I bought EVERYTHING at yard sales on the w/e's, thrift stores (there wasn't FB marketplace!) Which brings me to my hopefully good suggestion for you guys, we have a free Facebook page in my town! I see the most beautiful stuff - especially for babies!! From maternity clothes, baby clothes, bottles, breast pumps everything & anything you can think of! And furniture for the house too!!! You're really doing a fantastic job getting your home set up!! Such an exciting time!
Yes, I love up cycling furniture, clothing, etc from thrift shops. My favorite is garage sales because they are less expensive than thrift shops and sometimes find real treasures.
You two are just so adorable together and just perfect for each other. I love watching you two because your both so happy and have the best attitudes. Plus Louie is so progressive about the earth and sustainability.
I’ve deeply enjoyed watching you guys’ adventure in LIFE period! I feel that you’ve always seemed to have a particularly beautiful niche of sharing your love story and the ups and downs of married/engaged/couples life. Even your adventure to the altar was amazing! Whether you knew ahead of time that that’s what you were doing- I believe your Skoolie adventure WAS your adventure to the altar! You guys got engaged after that but it was the whole move to Costa Rica that seemed to set the tone for your next life chapter! It just felt like the ring was coming the whole time lol. ❤I feel like all the travel has been awesome but the true underlying story in it you’ve been telling along the way is your life journey. So all that being said, I’m excited to just learn what you’re learning about becoming parents! Even settling in AND at some point learning to travel as parents! Your holistic remedies for mother and fatherhood! All of that is so fun to witness and learn alongside you guys. ♥️ I’d love to hear Rayas take on emotional education for baby and just the thoughts you have about raising your child to be a care taker (self care and even as a young man for those he loves some day- cuz it all starts from the beginning). I feel that even this would be beautiful from Louis side of the story, as we’ve watched him grow more and more into husbandry and manhood in his own ways! You guys just have this glow of being such tender caring and fun loving people and to see how you raise your son to model that same love in the earth- I feel like that’s going to be such a blessing to many!! Anyhoo! God bless your growing little family!! Soooo happy for you guys! And thank you for all you’ve shared thus far! Never forget to LIVE out your precious moments in real time- just for yourselves! We will be here ready and waiting when you’re ready to share! THANK YOU!♥️♥️♥️🙏🏾
For me, the ocean is it. It is grounding. I lived in Arizona for a very long time. It's always kinda been my thing that no matter how cold, rain shine, whatever, if I go to the beach, I must remove my shoes, roll up my pants and dip my toes in. Even for a second. That super cold water rushing over me and the sound of the water, the glitter of the sand...it hits me and I am alive and whole. This is why I moved here to LA. Been here 10 years now. Love it. So glad you guys were able to connect with that both here in Cali and there in the UK now.
Bless and sage all your stuff, sea salt .... You guys have good , grounding energy. I would do two freezers to freeze ,broths, foods, jars of foods, smoothies. Use jars, thermos for ready to go foods, soups, drinks anywhere for quicker eating and less cleanup...
I loveeeee shopping in charity shops! As someone who lives alone, it's vital that I look after my money but I also like to dress myself and decorate my home so charity shopping is the nice middle ground between the two 😊 It's really interesting to see you both hitting a new stage of life together. You both may feel slightly different about it, but just make sure you have a safe space to express your feelings about the change without judgement. Also, taking your foot off the gas gives time for deeper thinking and development and a chance to realign, so I think you've picked a perfect time to do so before baby boy gets here ❤️
I love watching you two together because you are both so truthful about everything. Plus, you always look so happy together. You two were meant to be. I've been watching you for a few years now and your videos brighten my day! Loved the wedding videos. I'm so happy you are expanding the family and have a place to call home while the family grows bigger. I wish nothing but the best for you all. Thank you for being you. Looking forward to more videos from you. Also love the videos of you with Eamon and Bec and Kinging it. Thank you again.
I used to watch Louis back in the British vlogger days - I've kept up to date over the years briefly here and there but I've just subscribed to this channel. Seeing you both living a slower paced lifestyle but still unique resonated with me and I feel you will peek in popularity again due to this. How exciting and I love the house!
Thanks for this - plus, if it's any help... we would totally watch a video that's just the rushes of the browsing in the shops! Love the grounding at 13:30... I know this sounds batty, but it would make sense that the parts of our body that face the sun would absorb Vitamin D which is the tops of our feet(!)
Hey guys! I've only just discovered your channels a few days ago but I've already binged watch so many of your videos, including your solo channels. I love everything you two stand for. My hubby and I have a similar vibe. He is British (northern England) and I'm from the west coast of Canada. We met each other back in 2017 and travelled for a few years after settling down in the UK in 2021 when we got married and now we're 15 weeks pregnant, due in the Summer! Little behind you both. I love Brighton so very much and look forward to all your adventures to come - I've followed all your socials and clicked all the notifications so as not to miss a thing. Your positivity shines. So lovely to see you surrounded by love from your friends and family no matter where you are in the world - it's such a similar feeling to us and I just adore you both. X PS - Louis I LOVED your most recent cross-country with your van daily vlogs and Raya - Im so excited to see what other videos you come up with on your channel. X
Raya, you’re radiant! And you’re rocking those jeans! ❤ Luis, great to see you being active with friends. It seems like you’re both really settling into this season in a place that really suits your family.
Loved this lovely video! I love Charity shopping in the UK! A very easy way to stay sustainable and give to charity!! Winnnin. I love watching your guys videos as I've been watching you both grow for years! Especially you Raya, very inspirational to see who you were at the start of your RU-vid journey and see where you're at now. Much much love to the three of youuu!!! 🤗
Brighton seems like such a cool town! So glad you will be "nesting" there. Have fun exploring it and settling into a new rhythm. I like Louis's line about adapting your nomadic outlook on life to now living in one place. To me, there's the answer for your new content.
I watch your channel for both of you. I found Louis YEARS ago back I think through watching Zoella, Alfie Dayes, and other UK bloggers. The algorythm saw my love of adventure and suggested him, and then he met you in like the second or third video I saw and I instantly LOved you Raya! So yeah, I've been watching both of you I guess since BEFORE you started DATING!!!! OH MY GOODNESS! I love home vlogs, babies, DIY, home decor, renovation, dayn in the life, as well as travel and adventure, living off grid etc. Anyway. Whatever you post I'll be watching it! Have a WONDERFUL WEEK! Sending LOVE from the Great White North in -30 degrees Canada! ~Jj 💖
Hi Raya, I had a water birth with my second child, it was the best experience ever as you get to experience your body doing everything naturally. I hope you get to experience it ❤
Raya and Louis - I am thoroughly enjoying your journey exploring sustainable living in your new community/home in the UK. This video alone gave me such insight while reminding me to recommit to my goal of living more sustainably. It is not easy and we need videos like these. Also…the UK is my new adventure! I live in Canada but started travelling to the UK with my family in 2015 and now we are in love with the country. We ventured beyond London, went hiking in the Yorkshire Dales and now can’t wait to return. The South of England is also on our list so we can’t wait see more of England through your well-travelled eyes! Wishing you all the very best!
I'm so jalous of all the great thrift stores you have around you !!! Of course, I will stick around to your channel through your new life. You are amazing people, it's what I love about your channel, not just for travel videos. Have a wonderful day !!! 💕💕💕💕
Love how you share yourselves shopping in charity shops. 🙌🏼 People need to support charity shops more. 👀 You never know what you find! And I love watching the sunset go down in the evenings. 🌅 I always try and go for a walk everyday too - I find it clears my head when i have too much on my mind. 😀
I watched your "Were moving to Brighton" the other day, it was the first time I've watched one of your videos, within 20min I was subscribed to all your channels, following you on Instagram and I caught up on lots of your past videos, you are my new favourites! Sending you all loads of love Xxx
Hi have you been to see the starling mumerations at the pier they arrive about half an hour before sunset if you stand on the pier and look towards the old pier you will see them it is an amazing sight as they finally fly under the pier to roost for the night. Happening from now until the end of march.
I personally like how excited you get about things I am excited about. They are great vegan food and vegan choices in all the restaurants you go to, the sustainable living choice ideas in furniture and home products, seeing how you live your life in your new environments. The big thing I love is how excited you get over connecting with nature and simple things! I live in Alaska, everyday I get inspired and filled up by nature around me; so I relate to your excitement about that. Ok..and seeing your love for animals warms my heart; I feel the same way. Louis, seeing a man so sweet to little Cali (did I spell that right ?); well that speaks a lot about the kind of man you are. You're gonna be a great dad. Raya, your compassion spills over too; you will be a loving and purposeful mother. So keep showing us this new chapter of your life; we WILL GET INSPIRED!
I've enjoyed this video SO MUCH. Thanks for sharing, we do miss you a lot! Cali looks so so happy. And I also enjoy this more relaxed types of videos, there's no need to be on an adventure every-day. I also really enjoy your comments on furnishing, art, the garage, looking forward for watching the last baby-moon
I've been thrifting for 40 years. It's not a new concept for a lot of us... Love the town. Would love to visit it someday!! You asked: I'd love to see more of what the town has to offer...especially the nature aspect.
So excited for you both! And thank you for sharing little snippets of your pregancy journey. I am attending my 2nd scan today where hopefully we will find out what we are having, so very excited
For your q&a - how will you handle designing/building your Costa Rica home from afar, and what is the build timeframe? Exited to follow along and best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy and welcoming your baby!
For the Q & A Question 1 Do you like living in the UK? Question 2 Did Louis get his phone back? Question 3 What tipe of breed of dog is Cali and how old is she? I'm a dog owner too she a lovely dog that a German Shepard crost with a staffy call Lucky. Sadeshon for You to do while you are in the UK You need to check out ener UK heritage railway you can some of them have working steam train.
Q&A: How do you feel going into parenthood? How do you feel your travel lifestyle will contribute and/or take away from your experience as parents? (Built-up community vs. intercultural expression, etc.) What are you most looking forward to about being stationary beyond simply being stationary? Having people in the community to rely on, being able to experience local events, etc.? Do you plan to stay semi-stationary and take smaller trips with baby (babies?) And, if you do parent in Costa Rica, what are the differences there vs in the UK?
Love your channel!! I am a subscriber. I just finished binge watching all seasons Doc Martin, filed in Cornwall. Beautiful and engaging. Highly recommend. ❤
I’m loving the new home vlogs. Really love the second hand shopping. I love doing this myself and finding things that your parents had or things you don’t see in the shops. I’m so happy for you both ♥️♥️♥️🧚♂️. From north Wales xxx
I have been traveling for the last 6 months and internet has ben sketch. So trying to catch up without rushing forward to the birth! I love your little city. It looks so eclectic.
Thrifting is my favourite thing to do! I actually worked for a charity shop that funds a local hospice center, it honestly was my favourite job, and every shift I’d come home with something cool. 💜
I’m just excited to see you show how you can have adventures in your “normal” everyday lives! ❤️ I love both of you and am here to watch whatever you choose to film.
You two are so adorable! It made me so happy to see you come home and share your thrift store treasures because it brought back so many fond memories with my family doing the same thing. Loved it!!
Looks like Hove actually.! (I live around the corner, Brunswick area. Glad you guys have found a new home. You’ll love the boho vibe that Brighton/Hove has to offer. 😄
Please consider freeze dried raw for Callie! It's so much better than processed dog food. Like us, they live longer and healthier with the right food! 🐕 ❤️
@Raya and Louis aww, you're good fur parents! If life gets stressful after baby, there are many wonderful healthy options for her that free up your time and energy!
question for your Q&A: can u share about marriage reality? what makes u guys get into disagreements? do u guys do counseling as a couple? #2: do u believe in the triune God? do have a faith background and do u practice any faith now? enjoy watching you guys...
Great episode - charity shops are the best - I always feel the pre-loved items bring a sense of character with them where new items are just stuff. I bought some beautiful white work table cloths from one and didn’t look like they had ever been used. Oxfam used to sell online - it might give you more choice if you’re looking for something specific - they also have amazing bookshops.
So excited for your pending parenthood !! You two are adorable❣ I love thrifting as well; couldn't get over how many shops there were so close together. Looking forward your last adventure before baby!
Settling is a human nature thing. Specially on a moment like yours, being pregnant. It's very important to feel comfortable, stable, calm and secure for your baby to come.
Raya and Louie I love thrift shops also. And I'm so glad that you bought baby stuff from them because your right they grow out of them so quick, in our family we pass baby things to the next person having a child. The restaurant looked amazing as well as the shop with all the lights in the ceiling.
