Hi Addison- your garden is looking just lovely. Yes, they do change rather quickly! But that's gardening. Thankfully the weeds look like they are mostly outside of your vegetables. Yard fabric works, but so does brown paper lawn bags. I cut many up before laying mulch. They deteriorate slowly and help the soil while blocking weeds. It creates layers - like your garden will after years of mulching. I am sorry to hear about your ducks. It was so cute to watch the duck follow Oscar. I must say that even though I haven't been watching for very long, you seem much more relaxed. I find my garden does that to me too. It's my happy place. It seems to be yours as well. Hope your little friend returns and happy gardening.😊

Instead of plastic for the weeds, have you seen people use cardboard boxes? Seems like a nice earth friendly solution, but I've not tried it. Thank you for the video!

We have ducks. One of our males killed a little duckling. I think that can happen with some males. Also predator birds like hawks will grab them sometimes and she will never see feathers. Owls will also get them. We live next to the woods but have a fence around our property. So we leave our ducks out. We have to watch our chickens carefully hawks are around.

Hello, just recently discovered your channel. Sad to hear about the duckling and the male duck. Gardening sometimes gets overwhelming for me as well. Have you considered using cardboard to suppress the weeds? I use it and I highly recommend it. I live in zone 10a where 99% of the year is growing season and the heat is something else. Any gardening hacks help. I’m glad I found your channel.

What part of the country do you live. In…I so enjoy watching you out in nature and your gardens…but your house is super cute too!
