Take a look at what a day of 2016 USA Baseball 15U National Team Trials looks like. Players participate in team meetings, on-field workouts, and an intrasquad game on July 19, 2016
watching this 3 years later and realized one of these coaches is now the coach at marist school in atlanta and coached me at the baseball summer skills camp .
They are 15. 25+ years ago, we played on a team with kids this size. Every player on our team played college ball. One was a 1st round pick. People questioned our ages but everyone was legit.
Don’t feel defeated size is only one thing. Performance is more important and remember that kids continue to grow and catch up in size from 15 years old to about 20 years old. My son made the 14 U team and he’s only 5ft 6 inches, 125 pounds.
Good practices. I see a difference between USA junior teams with Mexican teams (my country) : USA have discipline! Mexican players have got talent but they don't want to be athletes. They just want to play baseball without any effort.
Gotta give it up to those kids for getting to were the are. Great job, never really had the opportunity to get there or anything. Wish I did though, and hope I get to college ball, still got 1 more year till I graduate high school so still have a chance. Also lol, by watching the game the catcher for red, when he threw down to second, he needs to work on staying down when he throws to 2nd, not pop up as high as he does, slows your momentum, and power.
Before I learned that I had a pop time around 2.3 or so once I learned that my pop time went to around 2.0 hitting 1.95 occasionally I'm 14 yrs old as a freshman
Bro those kids are 15 I mean like I’ve played there at USA Trial Tournaments I mean I played when I was 14 with Team Elite and I saw 80 plus at 14 and I was a PO and and I’m left handed throwing low 70s at the time and I saw that there was more competition than regular showcase so that got me better of a player
difficult to hear instructions being given, interactions between players and players and managers with overarching musing blaring through on-field team workout segments of this video.
Were the umps veterans or serving members? I think US Veterans can now salute after they are retired. I've never seen any sport official salute during the playing of a National Anthem before.
Nothing political about it and the money from tryouts is filtered back through the program for team expenses. It costs about the same or less than most camps and if you do get to the final round you are in front of many scouts. It's an awesome experience for any kid that has the ability to get there. My kid played for the 2017 14u NTIS New England squad and I can assure you politics had nothing to do with getting him there
The catcher at 11:13 did the throw to second bad he brung his hand to the ball which caused him to slow downs since he had to bring the ball all the way back to make the throw instead of bringing the ball to his hand and make a quicker throw to second since his hand is already back and ready to make the throw instead of bringing his hand down to the ball and then back to make the throw .
Marc Maza This is the NATIONAL team, these kids enjoy doing that, im 12 and if i got to do this i would enjoy every second of it, this isnt for people who like baseball its for people who love it
This is not team USA this is @ an organization that looks at Midwest down south everywhere but the east coast god bless these kids but there are so many players across the country just to name 1 team USA without having proper scouting in every state
@@sonnyv1614 lol you know what i mean ive never heard of or seen USA practice tryout anywhere in nyc am i mean kids that just got drafted last week to MLB never had a tryout
Some of them are but not all. I am far from rich and my son went all the way til the final selection for the 2018 15u Team. If selected to the National team most if not all expenses are covered I believe
