@@Marsotics I have not yet seen so smooth a transition to the sponsor ad. It was almost annoying, if it weren't so impressive. I wasted my life for almost 10 seconds of Zach shilling Brilliant before I checked the scrub bar and realized there wouldn't be any more content, and came to the comments to post this.

@@rbxless y’all are hilarious! Underground power lines in wind farms are proven to create harmful microclimates as the ground is perpetually heated to above the air temperature and those windmills aren’t lubricated with regular grease, oh no it has to be buckets of special lithium grease. All to have not enough power and what there is is only generated when the winds are neither too strong nor too weak and there isn’t ice buildup that will cause the mill to with shut down or explode. Then there is solar, which at best produces 1 watt per square inch, your toaster is 1500 watts so do the math on what would be needed for 30 people in an apartment building to all make toast while each running three 100 watt lightbulbs. Of course these panels don’t work in dark, snow, ice, especially cloudy days, or really any other time you really need power. They then produce DC electricity that must be stored in lithium ion or Cobalt batteries which are extremely toxic, have to be replaced every few years, requires a literal f-ton of batteries, and can only be produced by massive strip mining in 3rd world countries where there are zero environmental regulations. Then the power suffers major losses going through inverters to be changed to AC power. To top it off the greenies then protest nuclear and even hydro because it might inconvenience fish. Afterwards you go pay more for an electric vehicle than you will ever make up in gas savings that also require Cobalt batteries that have to be replaced with $15K cash. You plug them into 1500 watt charger that only works in non emergencies and draw power from a grid that is at best 20% efficient. So the grid losses alone make sure an electric car is right off the bat less energy efficient than a comparably sized gasoline car. Once you do the math on generation plants, grid, and the EV they are 13% less efficient! But hey, that pollution is somewhere else on the globe you don’t see so apparently that doesn’t count towards global warming, neither does the extreme emissions of 1960’s mining equipment in Africa where they also burn more kerosene for light than the total jet fuel consumption of all the aircraft on the planet. Also what do you eat? Ever seen an electric harvester or farm combine? How about the electric big rig that stocks those supermarket shelves? Long distance electric freight rail? Nope. So all any of you do is move the mess from regulated areas with environmental standards to dirtier places while complaining about a “global” problem and you do it by burning unnecessary fuel to go to Home Depot, and protest sights never even understanding that plastics and glues are largely petroleum products so you are still paying big oil but f-ing up some minimum wage Walmart employees day and making him late for his crappy job as well as raising prices for everyone. Here’s an idea, research things just a bit more and decide is 1 degree of proven change over the last 100 years is worth it, figure out where the cheapest and most efficient changes can occur on a global scale, and don’t be a hypocrite that drives to places so you can vandalize other people’s cars. Instead start with yourself and see how far you can go personally using less gas, electricity, plastics, batteries, paper products, etc. Fun Fact: 80% of the garbage in the ocean gets there via 2% of the worlds rivers. None of that 2% are in the US.

This ties into the lore of the channel completely. First we just had regular people do stuff. Then suddenly God started talking to them. That happened for a while. Then we had the Bible arc where the past of God was revealed. Then after that we saw how this world is actually a simulation. Then we saw how the world is a simulation within a simulation. And finally now we have a person speedrunning the entire journey to ultimately end up at the final boss and creator of this entire verse, Brilliant!

Protest work precisely because they are a nuisance. Large scale rallies (most common form of protests) block traffic, slowing economic activities in the area and forcing the government to either comply with the protesters and do something about the problem, or crack down on the protesters and reduce your pr even further, encouraging even more protests. These types of protests are no different, throw stuff at paintings, get public's attention and force the government to comply.
@fuzzyalba5419
@fuzzyalba5419 Год назад
I think the main problem is that it inconveniences the wrong people. The politicians & business owners capable of enacting the actual change we need aren’t going to care about some traffic jams & people gluing themselves to things. The only ones affected are people who are barely responsible at all for the mess we’re in

My favorite group of glue activists are the ones that glued themselves to the floor of a Volkeswagen facility. The management just left them there as they weren't near anything they could damage. After a few hours the activists asked for some bed pans or buckets. So people who couldn't even plan 6 hours ahead to provide for their own bodily functions wanted to be able to dictate to corporations and nations about policies and laws that could affect people for the next few hundred years. And then they get offended when no one listens to them.
