Wow!!!😳 And here I thought I was doing something big by having 4 children ... just had one out the blue last year 2018, thought I was done🤣🤣while working full-time as well as full- time nursing school. Well you win😂😂😂 So proud of you. I just recently changed jobs myself from a long term care facility to a hospital. I took a bit of a pay cut myself, howbeit, the long term result out ways what I was making. The goal was to get a hospital position as to transition internally once I graduate from nursing school. I also had a set back in nursing school, but I will NOT stop pursuing my dreams, I will obtain my nursing degree(s) so, back to nursing school at a different school I go. Thank you for sharing your journey, and yes, let’s encourage one another. Profuse peace and longevity sis. Happy New Year☺️☺️☺️

All that work for such little pay... I understand CNAs won't make as much as nurses or higher up medical workers, but gosh! CNAs do so much and get paid practically nothing. :/

We are in the same shoes. I have 3 kids. 5 months. 4and 5 years old. Finished high school 2008. I now have my AA degree in 2018. I have been Cna since 2011 in the nursing home! Now trying to work at the hospital. Here in California it so hard to get in the hospital. I got interviews here and there I am still looking for a hospital that will work with my family schedule. I am looking for night shift it so hard to get 😐. Your video give me hope. Proud of u. Mother of 6 and still doing it. Wow u are a strong lady.

Go to health/hospital job fairs. Surprisingly hospitals are always hiring for CNAs as it is usually a transitional job that most people do not stay in very long for various reasons. Good luck.

Lol I don’t know what made me click on your video I guess I was interested in seeing what other CNAs do. I just finished PCT and have been struggling to find a job. Can a PCT work as a cna?
@thenursetalk964
@thenursetalk964 5 лет назад
Hi @lovelivelife it depends on the job description. I have seen were a job will say CNA or PCT. But usually from my exp. It is the other way around were a CNA can get a PCT job. Good luck!
@evenmetish1717
@evenmetish1717 5 лет назад
I feel like a PCT is a waste of schooling. I’m a PCT and works at a hospital, but a CNA can do the same , with the same pay. I went to school for a whole year. A CNA class here is only 3 weeks. They reap the same benefits as a PCT. I should’ve just took the CNA course. Now, I have to pay back student loans. Lol 😂

Someone told me I'm too small to be a CNA. That lifting would be too hard. I'm 5'2, 117. I need feedback.
@thenursetalk964
@thenursetalk964 5 лет назад
No your not to small. Yes you have to be able to lift a certain amount. But in the real world, CNA are suppose to get help when lifting a heavy patient or use lifter machines that some hospitals provide. I was pregnant while I was a CNA and never lifted anyone. You'll be fine.

When you started talking about the miles and going south and north I was thinking like she gotta be from Broward or Miami cause this sounds like the life of a typical south Floridian on I-95😫 I feel you.

The state average in Florida is about $12 an hr. It's about 8% lower than the national average. Every state is different. Check state averages at www.payscale.com or Bureau of Labor & Statistics. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

What can cna do in hospital please respond me I'm cna I don't know can I work in hospital thank you
@shaeashley9263
@shaeashley9263 5 лет назад
I’m sure it’s different everywhere depending on state but the basics are ADL’s (bathing,feeding,toileting,ambulation, vitals) At my hospital we’re allowed to do more skilled things such as EKG’s, and phlebotomy

How much is the pay at the hospital? Or another places ?
@thenursetalk964
@thenursetalk964 4 года назад
Yes CNAs can work in a hospital. But every state is different. In the hospital I worked at I draw blood for labs, did Glucose check, vital signs, ADLs and more. Best of luck.
