A day in the life of a jewelled lacerta couple - timelapse

This is Sol & Luna. Luna (female) appears shortly after the lights come on. Sol (male) didnt get up until midday. You can identify between the two by their head sizes, Sol's head is much larger. Their body shape is also different, Luna has a rounder belly.
This is the first daylong time lapse I have done. I was surprised at how late Sol got out of bed, and that he spent the majority of the day under ground. In person, I only see glimpses of their day. On this particular day i checked on them multiple times, I only saw Luna once, and I didn't see Sol at all.
Outside weather: Mix of sun and overcast during the morning and lunchtime. Rained for parts of the afternoon. Hail stone shower around 6.30pm. Average temperature 6 °C

Where did you get the hanging Thatch egg’s from ?

They're cheap hanging bird houses, they only cost a couple of quid from garden shops. All I changed was tying the hanging rope a little shorter. You can grab some real bargains from garden shops that are useful in reptile enclosures 🙂

Is that a male and a female? If so the male seems to be much more active than the female. I have a very active male and I wonder if it has to do with his sex

Yes a male and a female. I was surprised to see the weird mix, male was very active while awake, but spent so much more time then the female underground, presumably sleeping. I suspect the female is gravid, so that probably affects how active she is. Although the male is generally more curious and willing to explore then her. Im planning to do another time lapse, to see how much variety their is in their behaviours. I suspect theres a lot. Hoping to find a better time lapse camera for it.
