I am not parsi but I really love parsis They showed us the true meaning of living with Harmony and unity even after being a minority in India their contribution is immense
India's most beloved minority who are sweet, cooperative and industrious. They are intelligent, cultured just like Hindus. In India they have contributed with so many good things
How so? They don't allow anyone into their temples and other communities are not allowed to embrace their religion and if you marry outside you are not allowed to practice
I had a parsi tuition teacher during school (Mrs freny naval batliwala.chira bazar, marine lines) schoolmate (behram),another teacher married into a parsi family (Leena Dara irani-grant road) various establishments in our area in south Mumbai.i must say parsis in general are noble people who respect bharat and have contributed to this nation in a big way,and stood with the nation always.generally very peaceful community.
I used to mix sugar in tulip juice bottle in kg class telling how my juice increased more, i used to sip after sip then adding sugar making d cat bottle juice incrreased. Also used sugar in mlk till class 3/4,
Yes, there is similarity because Zoroastrianism is also a very ancient & Vedic religion. If you see the major ancient religions of the Greek, Roman & Indians, you will find a striking similarity between them as all ancient religions have many Gods & Goddesses unlike Abrahamic religions. There's also the worship of Trees, Tree marriages which we have in India to this day, worship of Nature, Oceans, Rivers, seasonal festivals, Astrology, rituals, beliefs and also clothing has similarities. If you google ancient Greek / Roman & ancient Indian clothing, you'll find similarity there too!! All the similarities are really fascinating! An example of the similarities between the Gods... As we have Annapurna as the Goddess of Food & Farming / Agriculture, similarly, Demeter is her Greek counterpart. She too is worshipped as the Goddess of Food & Agriculture! As India has Shiva who is known as God of the Gods, similarly Greece has Zeus who is known as God of the Gods. Both of them have 3 eyes, the Trident, the Snake, both are known as Destroyers. Their backgrounds, folktales & stories also have striking similarity with each other. Another example I'd like to give is of Shiva's son Kartik. In Greece, Kartik's equivalent is Dionysus. Dionysus is the Son of Zeus, just as Kartik is the Son of Shiva. Both Dionysus & Kartik are God's of War & Victory, both Kartik & Dionysus are created from the Fire of their respective Father's, both were born to kill demons & protect the Gods & Swarg / Heaven & are also the Commanders in Chief of their respective armies. Kartik & Dionysus both were taken care of by the 6 nursing nymphs / constellations called Pleiades in English & Kritika in Sanskrit / Hindi. Kartik got his name from the Krittikas who nursed & fed him when he was a baby. That's why he's also called Kritika Putra. Both Dionysus and Kartik are known to have the most charming personality among all the Gods. Both are extremely powerful & skilled warriors, they're loved, admired and feared, both have their respective Cults with Rituals that also match with each other. Dionysus & Kartik both are very intelligent, have complete knowledge of War skills, Medicine, knowledge of religious texts of their respective cultures!! There's more I'm yet to discover about these ancient cultures!! This is it for now. I just discovered all this a couple of days back & thought to myself, that we humans keep finding differences in the name of Culture / religion when in reality we should look for similarities!!! Sorry if it's very long, just felt like sharing some information. 🙏🏼🙂 Have a good day & God bless you!
As a Gujarati whenever I hear someone mentioning Parsi around me I proudly stand up and say India and Gujarat is proud of the community. We are standing with Parsi’s shoulder to shoulder in kind of trouble they face. Even being in few numbers the legends this community has given to country like Sam ji, Tata ji, Dadabhai etc is unimaginable. May Parsi survive till the last breath of humanity. Thank You for this video. ❤️
Pride and jewels of India, thanks for being sweetness in milk. Salute and lots of love, respect and GOD blessings to all our Parsi brothers and sisters
Beautiful!!! As an Irani Zaratushti, it's heartwarming and amazes me to see how after years Parsis kept the tradition and teachings of Asho Zarathushtra alive. May Dadar Ormazd bless their community and bless India and the Indian people. Hopefully one day I will be able to visit the India Atash Behrams. Dadar Ormazd Panah bad, Dir Zivashni shad bad!🙏🏼🔥🌹
@@dhirajreddy56 Hope Less! Think 🤔 More! The PARSI “Priests” are the enemies for the decline 💀 of Zoroastrianism in India 🇮🇳 when they came to take “refuge” in Gujarat 😭 Hindus should take a LESSON from this event and CONVERT to CHRISTIANITY ✝️ ….. or REVERT to ISLAM ✅ 👍
Parsis are the most kind and generous people our country has. Blessed that they chose India as their homeland. Hindus love Parsis very much, the bond we share is more than brotherly to us. We love each and every Parsi in india or abroad. I hope your community grows and becomes very sucessful. love from your fellow Hindu neighbour
Its great that u embrace ur ancestors old religion, but Muslims in india, Pakistan and bangladesh forgot that thier grandfather used to follow Hinduism. Now they show hate on Hinduism.
As an indian hindu i personally prefer parsi and Jewish communities These two communities had contributed a handsome amount in the development of our MOTHER INDIA 🇮🇳 I respect RATAN TATA at an extreme level...he is one of the true gem 💎 India always welcomes all with open arms I wish our parsi and Jewish people will grow more and prosper more India would be more developed and beautiful if parsi and jewish were 2nd or 3rd largest religion of India instead of ☪️✝️ Lots of love❤
Haha the total Hindos living in Christian countries are times more than the Christians living in india. Why hindos of india always aspire and dreams of migrating to christian world and look for the validation? If they're treated even a lil wrong way, Hindos there literally cry for racism and for their dark skin tone while in reality they keep this amount of hatred for Christians. And FYI Christianity is an extension of Judaism and Jesus Christ was born to a Jewish family. Dear hindo, firstly your distant ethnolniguistic belief of india have nothing to do with world religions like Christianity and Judaism where there's believers from every race and custom and Christianity and Judaism are interlinked with one another. So no one gonna believe your crap
Amazing people and culture! Especially, their religion is fascinating, and shares similarities in values and traditions with Hindus, since antiquity. Hopefully, this beautiful community thrives for millennia to come, despite their current demographic crisis. If Jadi Rana was alive, I am sure he would have been proud of his decision looking at the contributions of Parsis today.
The older members of your family may remember my miraculous maternal Grandmother : Manijeh Sohrabji Kalyanivala ( maiden name Kothavala ) who lived in the Parsi coloney in Mumbai. my Paternal Grandfather : Pestonji Dhanjibhoy Mahaluxmivala Esq .JP lived at Back Bay in Mumbai.
Parsis are our pride🙏🏻❤ thankyou for settling in India and making this your home. Y'all have genuinely treated Bharat like your home and even with your small number, y'all have contributed immensely to our country's growth. Parsis are very humble and peace loving people, no wonder they're so abundant in everything ❤️major respect
The most peaceful minority community in india and Parsis are the backbone of India They have done very much for the growth of India and still continuing to do Kudos to them 👏👏
My dear brother , thanks for giving me a glimpse of Parsi's daily schedule...I always wanted to know more... as I have friend named Debu...I missed her...and your documentary reminded me of her.
Parsis came from Persia.. present day Iranl,, Really scary,,If our ancestors didn't resisted Islamic Jihadi extremist cult then we r also concentrated in some isolated islands today like parsis fled.
M a Roman Catholic and my sister is married to a Parsi Living in Bandra. Initially they had to face some issues at home but now they live all togather so happily and they are really fun loving. My jiju has an amazing humour 😂🤣 I love dhansaag❤
I salute Parsis...their contributions to India's development is incredible most generous and charitable...on top of that most peaceful....they are the real minorities of India...but never took advantage of that...
I would have loved to listen to story direct from grandma's mouth to her grandchildren. Anyway thanks a loooooot for making this land more sweeter as parsi promised. India Need more parsi.
Highly respectable community, Parsi culture and traditions, entrepreneurship and resourcefulness, have all greatly contributed to development and growth of the Nation. Wish Parsi community to become large enough in future with greater contribution to their only homeland i. e. Bharat.
Parsis are the oldest community of India. The oldest Indian epic called ' the battle of ten kings, has mention of a clan called 'Parshu'. Those were parshi clan before zurothristism. They were so called because they use to fight battle with parshu which means 'Axe', and they were fire worshiper.
@@bharatiya804 very old topic. However I never mentioned the name of parsuram in my comment as you placed this argument. Read my comment carefully then place argument.
The Community that has peacefully Coexisted..No Wonder Zorastrian Philosophy and Sanatan Values are deeply rooted and quite a lot integrated. There are tonnes of Similarities in Zorastrian Scriptures and Hindu Scriptures.
Parasi are parshva in Rigveda .. Hindus only …. After so many years they still follow Hindu rituals…… zororath was saint happened that time who set some rules and then followed by Zoroastrians followers
Thank youuuu for sharing a glimpse of a parsi life, its really great to see parsi culture being intact for thousands years like this which. Its such a beautiful feeling, and feel blessed that we have so many traditions and culture to celebrate in this beautiful country. Was fascinated to have little glimpse, and had one through this. God bless!!❤❤❤
Insightful. There is so much more to Parsis that's unique - wedding, food, embroidery , Parsi colonies, Parsi Punchayat & Trusts, their role in building the financial capital - Mumbai ... details abt such subjects would be very interesting .
They are kind and forgiving, that is what happen to parsi in iran, the relegion called islam had destroyed all the community be it Sikhs be it hindus, next will be against hindus and jains
Parsis have earned mutual respect and love from Indian communities because of their attitude to love and respect all ❤ Humans are like Mirrors we get love if we love ❤️
