After class 12, you can apply for IMU CET and sponsorship exams with companies like Maersk, MSC. Then join DNS or BSC as deck cadet

You have to choose first which department you want to work in - deck, engine or saloon. Each has their own training courses. Once you have completed that then you can apply for sponsorships in companies. Hi Angelos !! Rolling depends on the size of ships. Smaller ships roll more. I am used to the rolling by now but the quality of sleep is not good. As it is watchkeepers dont get straight sleep of 7-8hrs.

@@sailingstories why is that, wouldn't 12 to 7 when you get up be 7 hours uninterrupted?

@@thesportsman3190 The watch is over at 12. Doesnt mean that I get to go to sleep at 12. After watch, one needs to eat, freshen up, talk to family and then fall asleep.
