@@GauruvVirk I do actually. From a 1 to 10, how necessary is it to have a bike at Davis in your opinion?

I would say like a 4. It's not necessary (I can think of 5 friends off the top of my head that don't ever bike) but it makes getting around a lot easier (at least for me it does). You would just have to leave for your classes a little earlier so that you have time to walk to whatever class you need to get to. But ya, you can totally get by without a bike

@Gauruv Virk gotcha. I'll still probably get one just incase, but I haven't ridden one in so many years that I don't even know if I could still ride one properly. 😅 but yeah, if its easier I definitely won’t mind walking.

I TOTALLY RELATE TO THIS. I learned how to bike when I was in elementary school or something but _completely_ forgot over time, so the summer before my freshman year at Davis I would bike for like an hour a day to relearn it lol. And ya give it shot - if it's not your thing, no biggie 😄

Sweet & Shavery is still my favorite spot in Davis :)

First off, congrats!! :D I think the social aspect is pretty nice - there are a lot of events to meet people at and the town (especially downtown) is very welcoming/homey. The one thing I would warn someone about Davis would be how quick the quarter system is. It definitely took some adjusting for me. Also I should point out that you don't have to bike everywhere like some people say. You can definitely get around without a bike _but_ this is where another warning comes into play: the buses aren't always as punctual as you would like them to be so you'll have to plan with that in mind. I honestly don't know how challenging Davis is to get into. That being said, a 3.16 GPA *_definitely_* doesn't take you out of the running for getting in! The application review process is a holistic review of students, so just make sure your essays allow you to shine by showing the university that you are a well rounded person (extracurriculars, why you want to go to Davis, etc.) Also higher grades aren't necessary - but they don't hurt either
