These days at home with my kids are such a gift. Sure, there are some sibling squabbles and stressful moments, but there are also endless moments like these: nature walks, family conversations, and the joy of watching them gain new life skills- such as learning sweep for the first time, or how to choose and combine ingredients for our smoothies.
We’re enjoying the beauty of ordinary days. Today is a gift, and once it’s gone, we’ll never get it back.

Spurgeon is the male version of Jessa. My gosh Ivy talks so well and just over a year old. Love how both boys had to take turns sweeping the porch so they wouldn't argue over who ''got'' to do it.

A lovely tip I had from someone is having a 'journey stick'. Each have a stick they use as a walking stick with lots of elastic bands round to help attach interesting objects to the stick. Then when they get home they can take them off to put in a little display for that day. You will need to teach them not to use the stick for a weapon though, many little ones find it hard to resist.

Oh my, I have an 8 month old and I just LOVE to hear her little hands smack the ground as she crawls. Ivy crawling around the beginning reminded me of that 💜

Soooo sweet. Reminds me of my days with my sons when they were young and one of the biggest reasons I cried during my youngest son’s high school graduation this year. I will always be grateful for moments such as these. Being a mother is an amazing gift and job! 🥰 Thanks for sharing such videos. Much needed break from the rest of what’s out there! 💕

Your children are all so adorable! I was cracking up at both boys pushing with the broom, then Henry just picking up the pokey balls with his hands. Nice teaching moment. Also giggled at the Roman soldier sounding like a pirate. 😂

LOVE this! Jessa - teach Ivy the sign for "OUTSIDE" since it's her favorite word. She is the perfect age for sign language! When I did childcare, I once taught a baby 75 words!!

I noticed the children were not strapped into the stroller please harness them in especially as ivy is so small the snack tray does not count as a safety device.

Ivy was buckled tightly at the waist. I don’t buckle Henry because unnecessary. He is in one minute and out the next.

Keep the dandelions...as a momma of 6 boys one day they stop picking them. I dried some and taped them in my bible front..and when the two girls came along I framed some of the little girls and my last baby boys flowers they picked. The little things are so dear!

Spurge is a little encyclopedia! I loved seeing the boys so kindly taking turns with the broom. Patiently waiting for ones turn is not a character quality most adults have these days, so kudos to the boys and Jesse and Ben for helping the boys with that skill. Getting along with people is probably the #1 quality a person can posses.
