On a rather cold January day I set out to record my first major Video of 2016 with my two pals, Graeme and Alex.
We started out at Whifflet, then Coatbridge Central, Motherwell and back to Whifflet. Sadly, due to the closure of the WCML at Lamington bridge over the River Clyde, there were no AC electrics on show today.

The coal trains were conspicuous by their absence and Longannet power station closes completely in March this year. DB Schenker runs have all but ceased and only Freightliner are delivering coal from Hunterston deep water terminal.
Highlights for me were 56113 on the Dalston tanks run, 66733 on the Fort Bill Alcan tanks, 66056 on the Didcot car carrier, deputising for two class 90 AC electrics and running 64 late, and 43013+43014 on the NMT Derby RTC to Mossend. The latter was recording the OHLE which looked like electrical sparks!
I used my Panasonic x920 camcorder and on board mic system with no wind muffler, all mounted on a Velbon DV7000 tripod. Recorded in 1080/50p HD mode with twin channel stereo. Please let me have any comments on the video as a whole and on the sound quality in particular.
