So nostalgic watching the drive from Mid-in-Tees up to High Force along Alston road. My first ever driving lesson with my dad was round the car park at high force. Miss those amazing veiws more and more these days. Tis true we don't appreciate our blessings till they are gone. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Will have to show my dad. He was a land agent for the land owner That High Force belongs to. He would regularly take our spaniel and young me along the walk as he had to check all life preservers and safety notices where in order.

Must visit High Force when I get up that way, and that shot of the meals towards the end, looked really good food, it'll have to be sausage and mash for me soon (with 2 veg of course). Keep 'em coming!

We love High Force. It's been a while since we visited. Saw the Landrover coming towards you and automatically lifted my hand to wave!!! It's a bit like the motor home wave. We can't wait to get our van finished and start visiting places. Good to see you wearing Shaun and Lizzies design. Cheers and happy travels.

Hi, Another great video. We are enjoying your work and hope to meet you both in June. As we use mobiity scooters can you tell us if there are any other steps from the car park area before the ones right by the falls please? Nigel & Mary xx

Nigel Humphreys no I don't think there are any more steps until the stairs down to the falls. It's a gravelly path down though.

Although it's a bumpy gravel path it was chair accessable all the way to the base of the fall since the mid 90's. After a freak storm felled many trees the path was rebuilt with access in mind. Unfortunately it's a steep set of stairs to access the very top of the falls. But the veiws are not as good and it can be dangerous to get close at the top. Fatalities are unfortunately relatively common due to slippery rock and wet surfaces. High force has a power and beauty that demands respect.

Ann Turner Tara is Bob’s sister’s dog so doesn’t always come with us. She will be coming with us on our European Trip.

Ann Turner we look after Tara when my sister can't be there because of work commitments. Tara loves travelling and really enjoys coming away with us. We miss her too when she's not with us.

I will be visiting hi-force this Christmas 2021 I hope it is open because I know raby estates closed it for a while because of the pandemic But obviously I will check before I drive up there I will phone the pub up next to it , and ask them Because if anyone will know it will this information it will be them .
