Thanks Harry, i like to unhook barbel then revive them in my landing net before showing on film and photograph that way they're only on the unhooking mat a few seconds and as seen on my videos are strong and quick to swim away. Its nice to know other anglers like yourself like to see barbel and other fish handled correctly. Thanks for watching and advice.

Try a few different baits meat pellet boilies on one rod and a bunch of maggots, worm on another rod.

@@ukfishingvlog just bought some spicy sausage boillies 14mm and some 14mm banoffe boilles and some 8mm spicy sausage pellets. Hope and 3 pint of mags and some hemp. Cheers mate

Well done. Can sometimes be a fine line between landing a barbel and blanking.

Depends height and flow of river but following should be ok. Non Tidal Trent 3-5oz, Tidal 4-8oz lead.
