Just like I mentioned towards the end, this comment is meant to clarify and make corrections to things I said throughout the video. - The post-night minigame in PR2 is possible; however, Buster will only drain about 15-25 energy from you when you turn. - The Glowstick version of PR3 was initially made after another (now scrapped) version of PR3 but before the Elevator version. This means Mechlus had returned to the Glowstick version after scrapping Elevator. - A patch was sent out to fix PR1's unobtainable true ending. This was before this video was released but after I had already finished that section of the video, so I haven't personally looked at it. - The term "follow the white rabbit" was popularized by 'The Matrix.' Not sure how I missed that, but it makes a lot of sense in-context. Especially if you compare Andrew to Neo and Matthew to Morpheus. Thanks again for checking out my video! It took four months and many iterations to get this video done and as accurate as possible. I'm glad you all seem to enjoy it so far; the response has been overwhelming; more videos like this soon ;)
Doors that unlock when the power goes out are a real thing! They’re held closed by electromagnets and without power the magnets switch off and leave the door unlocked.
For info, doors opening if the power is cut is actually something you see IRL, where electric locks will de-engage if the building loses power, to ensure no one stays trapped inside if an incident occurs. So yes, it actually makes sense :) But this was a great video regardless, loved it!
The background music is good but one of the best parts about these games are the sound design choices, you explain them well but nothing beats the real thing :D awesome documentary!
Watching this kinda gave me a unique idea for a fnaf fangame. So, take the scrapped warehouse version of Readjusted 2, with people, not robots, trying to break in. For once, let's say the security guard actually was given a competent security room for once, with doors that actually work and no obvious huge vents. Instead of trying to stay safe from the animatronics, your job is to stop intruders from encountering them Instead, to prevent potential criminal investigations into the company. Could be like an interesting spin on fnaf, you're not saving your own butt, you're just trying to stop thieves from unwittingly getting maimed. Maybe add a animatronic threat only later on in the nights, to juggle between saving yourself & the intruders. Just an interesting idea, not sure exactly how it'd pan out in game, but something for the planning board perhaps.
The paitents being able to be killed in 3 is so disturbing yet it’s a good mechanic, having another characters who are trapped in the same building and must be kept alive due to them playing an important role. It reminds me of how Luigi works in The Abandonded Factory 0 Nevermore. He’s trapped in the same building as you and he has a taser, only problem is, the lights in the room he’s hiding in has gone out and you need to activate them to alert him of any enemies that sneak into his room. Act too late and they will kill Luigi and they will make their way into your room and kill you too.
i like how silly this sirfiftyfive character is, time to subscribe (on a real note you should really make a video on playtime with percy, it's a really good fangame and it's totally unique with many complications to it :D)
I’m pretty sure a long time ago, I have a memory of either watching/playing the first and second game of this series, that’s what made the original Project Readjusted 3 video so interesting to me at the time because those games weren’t something I knew very well but they weren’t unheard of to me, it’s kinda like when you have a dream and you can remember slight details but the rest of it became a blur overtime. Readjusted 3’s concept of keeping others alive is extremely cool and the only other game I have seen do this is The Abandoned Factory 0: Nevermore but that came out on July 28th 2023, so to my knowledge, Project Readjusted 3 is the first FNaF fan game to have that concept. 1:01:23 This has the same energy as Tails’ short term memory loss scene from Sonic Boom lmao 1:54:48 Holy shit Iaon jumpscare I was gonna say it still feels weird to promote this series after the infamous Pear situation that Mechlus was involved in though… But then you actually mentioned it which I highly respect, I personally still wouldn’t support Mechlus imo, his actions aren’t something that could just be forgiven that easily. I would have to see more evidence of his change and real redemption to feel 100% okay with supporting this series as a whole but I still support this video and the dedication that went into it. Overall, an excellent video. Your videos are always certified bangers.
38:54 Curiously, there is a video divided into 2 parts telling the story of project readjusted that Mechlus himself commented on. Although I'm not sure since a few months later the person behind the account changed their profile photo and name. What I do know is that it is 2 hours of the story told in 1st person with original voice acting. Although it is in Spanish :/ Anyway, this video is quite entertaining and I liked it! Good job! :D
I pretty sure that the group chat thing was entirely fake. Did you hear about this group chat thing from theft king? If so then I can say it’s 100% not real. (Edit: idk lemme double check)
With all due respect, Theft King is consistently an unreliable source. The whole situation is super complicated so I can for sure see where you're coming from.
Found your channel with this video and god damn Im happy I did ! Im gonna download at least the Third game and maybe the second one too ! Thanks for sharing more about this hidden gem of the fnaf fangames ! I'll be waiting for your next video !
Wow this video made me want to go back into the fnaf universe, got a lot of fangames I was so hyped up for and forgot about. The discord groups for these games were THE place to be, met some really talented folks in the artsy channels tbh. Besides that, i also quite like the more realistic setting introduced in the remake. You can actually imagine that building exterior as a normal urban or Suburban restaurant.
5:50 actually if the whole place didnt have the killer animatronics in mind i think it makes sense the door would open so the nightguard wouldnt get trapped in the room for hours on end where they could possibly die from improper ventilation leading to lack of oxygen or starvation even if theyre trapped long enough hell maybe even overheating or hypothermia depending on if the room has proper heating or not aswell
iirc the specific reason that the doors open when they lose power is that they're magnetic. The power being drained is the magnet keeping the door closed which is why it pops open when the power goes out. though why Foxy hitting it drains the power further is anyone's guess, prolly gotta chalk that one up to video game logic
something I don't think he mentioned the entire video is that if you are really close to getting offed and you finish the night, when the monitor goes down, you can see the animatronic that would kill you
if you ever do more of these types of videos you should review the fazbears return/sea shift at austin's series by the creator of ellie's, they are pretty old now and arent really good gameplay wise but the story and history behind them is pretty interesting
I found a link to a Mediafire page in a comment section on one of Mechlus' posts on Game Jolt, unsure which one. It's a bit obscure because it's a scrapped build more than a game.
The doors open as a security measure because if they remain closed the security guard would be stuck inside the room until the power comes back or until someone notices in the morning.
While that makes sense, wouldn’t it also make the guard safer if the doors were locked? That, and what would be holding the doors up, without the power.
@@harmlesstherobot7181 The people who built the doors didn't really plan for a guard having to survive against possessed animatronics. To us it would make more sense if they did close because we know the animatronics are alive, but for the people who made the doors it's safer if they open because that way nobody will be stuck inside. It's also not impossible that doors were designed in such a way that when there's a power outage they open immediately.
@@harmlesstherobot7181 More in likely the doors are magnetically powered, with an electric current being run through the magnet to repel the door (closing it) and attracting the door (opening it) when no electricity is being run through the magnet. Electricity creates a magnetic charge. It'd be a novel, if incredibly over designed, way of creating blast doors. Which is still too much for a pizza place guard room but, eh, fazbears never made good corporate decisions anyways.
Also, you'd essentially be choking the guard out if they designed the doors that way, assuming the power also has a hand in the ventilation system. Its an inconsistent system. Then again nothing about the FnaF (or FnaF-esque) settings made sense in an engineering standpoint. I mean, just look at the pizzereia layouts a lot of the times. Windowless, impractical for the staff to move around in, maze-like for the customers. Sister Location has the most non-subtle example of this, with how the vents are literally the main access points throughout the facility. Its like Scott was aware that the pizzeria designs are dumb, and decided to make it canon for fun. Like, William Afton is the world's worst engineer (with the animatronic designs and his facility plans) and stuff because of that and its really funny they stuck to it
Real, like, I could go on SO long of a tangent on why my hyperfixations are the worst pieces of garbage on planet earth and at the end of it still be like "anyway, that's why it's my favourite :)"
@@madamwyrd It's good to call out what the things you like did wrong! If enough people are saying it, it might reach the creators ears, or at least encourage more comprehension of the nuances of whatever media. But it doesn't have to take away your enjoyment of the rest of it! Especially because there's pretty much no fully 'perfect' media.
Fun fact about Glancer: (also, I only made the character models, they were from my DeviantArt and then altered by Mechlus for Project Adjusted!) Glancer was made shortly after we only had the first teaser for Sister Location, in which you could barely see Circus Baby. It was my attempt at predicting what she could look like. Obviously got it 99% correct
Funny thing around 9:15 - The developer of Five Nights at Chuck E. Cheeses: Rebooted did not make any attempt to balance True Nightmare All Challenges, it was by pure luck that it is beatable.
to be fair I think every single fnaf installment had scott say "I think this might be impossible, I have not been able to beat it" for the hardest challenges, it's kinda been a theme for the series and I am not surprised if most fan games take the same approach
@@lunaw2174 Tbf Scott does, in contrast, try to balance his games even somewhat..Him being able to not beat it doesn't say a whole lot; he's just not the best at his games lol and doesn't seem to have playtesters outside releasing the game and fixing bugs afterwards with patches! So he can really only say "I had trouble with this, can't tell you for certain it's possible"! But Five Nights at Chuck E. Cheeses: Rebooted didn't really try to maintain balance
Bassically it was drama were there was a discord chat full of fnaf fan game creators who were doxxing other fan game creators and even Scott cawthon himself
@@douglasybarra4461 Uh... no. Nobody was doxxing anyone. A lot of misinformation about this has gone around in the last few years when it was not us that found Scott's content or anything of the sort. Ultranite shared it to us from another group that found it because we had not seen it, not that just found it and was planning to "dox" anyone with it.
@@Mechlus-ir2zt What happened? Last time I heard about it they were talking about how they were planning on leaking fangames and something about Cawthon's personal info
@@fozz1437 certain ppl were planning on holding certain fan games hostage with the info they obtained. They’d leak their games to other fan game creators in order to get feedback to make the games better and certain ppl decided to use the info to take the games hostage. I think Melchus was a friend of one of those bad ppl (wasn’t part of the bad ppl tho). I did hear some of them had info on Cawthorn too tho.
If anything, a 9-3 shift makes MORE sense to me, at least from a practical standpoint. The guys finish up their work at 8-8:30, nightguard shows up at nine. The first workers show up to set up at like 3:30-4, so naturally the nightguard leaves right before that. 12-6 works better for fnaf because it's a birthday pizza place, and partues probably go pretty late on the regular
That bit about the creator being involved in that Chat Group drama absolutely blind sided me lol I was like "Oh neat, cool serie-" "And now the Group Chat controversy" "Oh no"
Bad FNAF fangame idea: so basically, it's a mobile game that takes advantage of the phones gyro. to look around you would have to turn your phone (as if you were watching through a RU-vid 360° video) and to use cams, you would have to face your phone down to look and interact with the monitor. Enemies and other game mechanics should align with this gimmick.
@@marxxplaysgamesspecial delivery if they took version 1.0 and ran with it (no shenanigans with multiple shocks and not just reskins of the cast) They kinda did try with the “dlc” experience but it didn’t go far
I really liked your video, it was very good! But there are some mistakes in the part where you talk about PR's story. The restaurant hasn't been abandoned for a month, Andrew says in PR1 that the restaurant has been abandoned for almost a year now, and also Matthew couldn't dismantle Glancer and Glossy to create Glancy because Andrew says that Glancer and Glossy were unfinished suits
You’re probably right on that first part. For the Matthew creating Glancy bit, I referenced an old lore document that Mechlus made after PR2. It’s very possible it’s outdated though
5:49 Deadman's switches and fail-safes like this exist as safety features. Powered doors specifically prevent a fire hazard and entrapment risk in power outages; they'll have ballast weights that pull the door open when it's no longer powered. Electromagnetic locks can also play a component part.
20:07 Redeemer is probably named that as to redeem the creators original idea for the other character in project adjusted (Also this actually really kept me interested in the video so take my subscription)
@@SirFiftyFive sorry I thought this was “yeah I know he’s an ass but I still want people to play this game” I didn’t know you worked with him on the video
@@orisfamaemon Not really. Obviously I don’t support what he’s done, that doesn’t mean I can’t work with him at all. Especially since this series’ story is so confusing lmao
A peak experience, cannot wait to watch the whole thing. PR3 is one of my favorite fangames of all time, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the rest of the series!! Time to pull out the popcorn...
It's been a long time coming, Mr. FiftyFive. While I don't like PR1 all too much (I'm AverageFangamer on GameJolt), this video is just very high quality. Love that you decided to cover a series that really needs it.
think of the fnaf 1 doors as being attached to industrial "springs" and they get pulled down by powerfull electromagnets the electromagnets use power to turn on pulling down the door when the power turns of or the door closes the "springs" pull back up due to being stretched form the electromagnet and thats one explenation if it would work like that irl who knows but thats what i tell myself when ever i think abt the doors. also nice video
Holy crap jet black looks like it would’ve been amazing if it got finished, Ngl I wish someone would try to remake it bc the character designs and stuff had loads of potential
You used some of the music from The Endurance. Game made by my favourite RU-vidr. I still can't believe that game came out knowing how Eleven often abandons series and other stuff he does without explanation. Great video man, I studied to it.
Doors are probably made with the assumption they'll be on the power grid, and not on a resource based generator. They're fail-safe, rather than fail-deadly. And, obviously, they're electro-magnetic. If there's a fire, or some other disaster, and the power goes out at the same time, you don't want the doors to be locked shut and prevent evacuation. Power-draw is normally not a factor, because they should be on the grid, and not on a generator/battery. Reminds me a bit of the fire-release doors at the place I work at. You open it, press it to a magnet, and it's kept open for guests to walk through. But if the fire alarm trips, or the power goes, they get released and shut. They're normal doors, so you can open them normally, but they help prevent airflow to an active fire for when people have made it outside. Obviously, you can't really do that with a blast door. Blast doors, of course, are entirely overkill for pretty much any of these games, but we'll gloss over that. Just have a metal door with a lock, man. But that wouldn't make for as fun and curious gameplay :P
This video deserves more views. Such a great video on such an underrated series, especially since Project Readjusted 3 has became my favorite FNaF Fan Game since your video introduced me to it. So horrific.
This is literally Van Gogh for FNAF game creators wtf Don't know anything about Mechlus controversy, but this is the ONLY existing game that i see it feels personal like you said. The actual concept of the box reminds me A LOT of Oneshot, and using game files to not show easter eggs or something like that, but actually showing alpha versions of the game is... Unique, like, really unique. Hits hard as hell that this is the last thing we are going to get from him t.t
Great video, Sir55! I love all the effort and detail you’ve put into explaining this series! One thing I would like to explain is the PR2 post-night minigame. How it works is that you have to get the security meter up to 100%, which you can only do if the video meter is also at 100%. The tape is meant to push Buster back and give you more time to finish the task. The oxygen mechanic allows you to hear Buster’s movements while it’s off, so that you don’t have to turn around and check him (which is useful since turning around takes away 30% of the video meter). IMO, this minigame is easy for nights 1-3, but has a major difficulty spike on night 4. (Oh, and thanks for the brief shoutout about discovering Glancer’s pathing. I’m glad it was useful information.)
5:47 they open after the power goes out imo because it's honestly the more realistic option, after the one factory (IRL) that burnt down and due to shitty regulation, trapped a bunch of people inside to leave them to burn, choke, or get trampled to death, a lot of shit went into making laws preventing people from getting trapped in places they work, it was a horrible event. having the doors stay closed after the power went out is a MAJOR fuck up and would get them sued.
This was quite well put together and enjoyable to listen to during me lonely night shift. Was kinda flabbergasted by the sudden 'hey btw the dev is a real piece of work', but the screwing around in Bust Em Up really defused the shock 😂❤
Man Im so glad someone is covering the entire PR series, Ive recently been going into all the games to check everything this series has to offer and I really wasn’t disappointed by it, I really hope more people check these games out!!
A way for fnaf 1 doors to reopen is a larger door that extends into the wall a few inches. In the wall would be industrial springs that hoist the door up at all times. And a hevy hydraulic mechanism forces the door down against the springs to close it potentially explaining the extreme power usage. And when theres no power, the hydraulics fail and the sprigns lift the door
Great video but it would be better if you show the audio cues you talk about, or the songs that are supposed to be really good, nor you show demostrative gameplay, if you talk about a mechanic you don't show it, it just happend in he background. i think the video lacks that audio... spectacle? is just a narration with some gameplay related with what are you talking about
Yeah I agree. I tried here and there, I had a soft deadline to get this done before finals week so I can totally see where some editing faults happened. Trying my best to fix some these issues in the next one. Thanks for checking it out though!!
GREAT video and your content in general is very high quality, but bro wtf are those png avatar images 😭 like no offense but it looks like that one tumblr comic with "the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny" played over
i remember playing project readjusted 2 and when i play it on my low end pc back in 2016 the game was so laggy that the animatronic wasn't even able to move though out the whole game
Amazing video! I had watched the other Project Readjusted video before and I think that's what wanted me to play the game again and make a video on it. It was so freaking good, this video was a great watch while coding stuff in the background
5:44 This actually has always made sense to me (well...as much as having a huge metal door that drops down like that made sense xd) and can be easily explained The thing that requires power is the mechanism (prob electromagnet) that keeps it closed, not the mechanism that keeps it open, which is just a simple lifter which doesnt require power as its just a counterweight that pushes it open as for what its a safety feature against? Its against fire, to prevent the case in which (for example) a guard is trapped in what is now a headbox because of a fire causing a outage (something similar is used in real life)
note to self: I could watch this whole video again or at least half of it because at some point I was too focused on something else (before the controversy is mentioned)
You say that if you made a disclaimer at the beginning of the video then people wouldn't want to watch, but by putting it near the end makes me feel like I wasted over an hour learning about a series made by a person not worth my time. Seems like you did it just to make sure you got views.
The video was put into chronological order. The games and myself should also be treated separately so I do not see why you feel as if your time was wasted. You can enjoy one without the other.
Now that was so pure gold FNAF fan game. Maybe you can explained the next FNAF fan game called “Graveyard Shift at Freddy’s” the most recent Disturbing Fan game with the design of The Creepy Animatronics and even more monsters too.
