Birmingham City fans, buckle up! We might be witnessing a pivotal moment in the club's history. Chris Davies, the Blues' recently appointed manager, provided his first interview with the club and set out is his blueprint for Birmingham City's future.

Not only renewed my son and my ST's today, but brought in 5 new ST holders. My 63 year old brother has only ever been to 1 match in his life but has purchased a ST together with his 4 young sons. Clearly you are never too old to start!

I saw another video from the club it showed Gardner showing him round the club facilities , what struck me was when chris was in the changing room and he saw the words to " keep right on" on the wall and he said " thats a great song ' i like him already . KRO.

Imagine having so many wins in a season to accumulate this 😂 We haven't been consistent favourites in matches for absolutely years so hoping this will be a change of expectation and hopefully, we can get that winning mentality back. Absolutely buzzing with his appointment, the most impressive 1st interview of any of our recent managers.. I hope he sits them all down and asks them all straight if they want to be at this club, if they're prepared to work hard and not down tools at the first sign of adversity... If they aren't prepared to give 110% then close the door on the way out...I'm really excited for the season ahead after listening to him talk... KRO lads 💙💙

I remember being a bit unsure when we first announced him, but once i watched his interview, he fills me with confidence all we gotta do is bring in the correct players as you guys already said and i feel we can bounce straight back up KRO

To answer your question- yes it is a defining moment no doubt. Chris is perfect and I have no doubt that he will build something very special at St Andrews. We will honestly say in the next few months - Tony who? No disrespect meant but this guy is special and will be a different level than any manager we’ve had. KRO

I don't think the fact that he hasn't actually managed before is important, what he does have is vast experience at a high level, learning under some of the top managers in the country and he obviously feels that now is the time to finally become a manager, and attempting to look at it from his point of view I would be thinking. 'this club is a sleeping giant, they have new owners with the same winning mentality as I have, I think I will be backed in the transfer window , and if I can get this club back where it belongs what a feather in my cap that would be' . If he could do that Premier league or Championship clubs would be falling over themselves for his services. Its strange because after relegation I should be miserable but I'm actually more excited for a new season than I have been for many years.

Thank you for your comment John. It really is a strange feeling as you point out. You would expect us all to be miserable after relegation however there is a lot of optimism around instead! Chris has a great range of coaching experience over many years and his worked with some very good managers so I'm sure he will now use all of the experience and energy into his first manager role. Thank you for your comment Frank. I think we always have a tendency to expect the worst especially after the last 10 to 12 years. Even though we have been relegated there is so much good going on around the club that it is difficult not to get excited. I really think these owners are the real deal and although there are bound to be bumps in the road I think they will get us to where they want us to be. KRO and kind regards (Gary)

Like you lads. can't wait for the season to Start. I've Just purchased a season ticket for me and my son, after many many years away (buying a season ticket that is). Great news, the early birds were selling like hot cakes, i was having trouble with the app, and by the time my reserved seat and got round to paying, someone else got in, it timed out. Had to wait until i got home for work on my laptop. Finally got tickets on Kop Corner. I think season ticket sale are going to be well up on last season going by that😊😊 KRO.

I agree with the Tom Brady analysis. Been lucky enough to have seen him throughout his career. He is extremely competitive and the true GOAT of the NFL. The roast where his old coach slammed our beloved Blues when we got relegated will drive him to want to make us competitive and slam that back to him. Love to see the away kit our old 70s yellow, and when we return to better days have our 70s white down the middle. Which I had hoped they may have done this coming season for Trevor. As your dad said the Kop was the best standing! 53,000 rammed in some games! KRO

Thank you for your comment. I think a lot of people have questioned Tom Brady’s role at the club but the more you hear the more you realise how much he has done and is doing. I think he will be a real asset to the club moving forward. I would love to see a yellow away kit as these are probably my favourites. We haven’t had one for a while so you never know! Also, a full Kop in the old stand was something to behold and something I will always remember. KRO and kind regards (Gary)

This appointment just feels right. We should not get anxious if we have a slow start to next season. The best of last season's denizens in League One may have an edge because of their experience. But with Davies at the helm, the second half of the season should see us hogging one of the promotion berths before the end. And that's about as pessimistic as I can get right now. The future looks bright. Great podcast, by the way. You two always epitomise the best in football fans and are one of the club's unofficial assets. KRO!

We love this club and the fans so it's really great we can do a podcast that people enjoy :) I was at the club shop for 10am today and I had the chance to speak with a few fans and everyone was so polite, friendly and really excited for next season to see what kind of football we can expect. I agree with a possible slow start whilst we go through a small transition with CD. Even looking at Leeds and Southampton this year in the championship. Premiere League teams that took a while to get firing. I think it's to be expected. Once we get going and find that rhythm though I think teams will have trouble stopping us :) Very best, KRO! Thank you for your comment Dave. Oh my word I remember. The toilets were at the top of the Kop but you could smell them at the bottom! They were blocked a lot as well and we would often see the golden river descending down the Kop. Happy days! KRO and kind regards (Gary)

Haha… yes, I remember the old Kop. Great atmosphere but quite primitive by todays standards. I’m excited and optimistic about this coming season and hopefully we retain a few of our better players and add new players with a more measured and considered strategy. Bielik and Miyoshi used for the new kit PR pics - so hopefully suggests they may be staying. Kro

When the kit was leaked I was not that impressed however now that I have seen it in all its glory I think it looks like a decent kit. He came across as confident in the interview, but in the behind the scenes he's got his hands in his pockets everywhere 😂 Hopefully he can settle in quickly and start bringing some good players through the door over the next couple of weeks

To begin with i was sceptical of this appointment as he was an unknown to me but once i saw his C.V with 19 years coaching experience and i couldn't believe that nobody had snapped him up before us but this is my question for you guys, why did no championship or PL teams come in for him, if he is so highly rated as a upcoming young manager?

Thank you for your comment Ricky. Chris certainly has a lot of coaching experience and as he said in his interview with Blues TV he just felt that this was the right opportunity at the right time. @@SmallHeathAllianceFC In my opinion one thing this appointment will not be is mediocre because we have either found a rare diamond that nobody else saw or we have dropped a right clanger and got a manager that other clubs gave a pass. Also when i go for job interview i sell myself as the very best chef that i can be to get the job even though every working environment is different as I'm sure Chris Davies did, only time will tell..KRO..UTB..

Listening to Davies's first interview, the thing that made me sit up most was that he had bee opposition analysist (at Liverpool?) The lad has done his apprenticeship, and that for me is a positive. Like you say, his CV is impressive.

If you add all of the roles he has had at some top clubs and the managers he has worked with then I think we can have every confidence that he will be an excellent manager for us. Like your comment on the old kop,missed many a goal scrambling up the steps in late cause of turnstile queues,and you never could you see that goal again as no cameras in those days,--minor point,l commented on one of your passed videos that l hope we go back to white shorts,-our traditional kit,-and yes we have,-my next wish is promotion-fingers crossed,-great videos,KRO
