you need to be able empty a laundry bin into it, walk away and come back to a stack of folded clothes. Then it will be Jetson worthy!

+Drew Thompson It's Japanese, so it's probably not. If it were Chinese, no doubt there was some dude there, just like they fake everything else.

Nah, then it would take far less than 5 min/per shirt. :)

If there was an Asian person I that cabinet, the shirt would come out folded in 5 seconds.

Drew Thompson , that person is very slow, even I that folded few clothes in my life can do it under 30 seconds.

“Technology is confidential.” More like: we can’t tell you there is a person hiding inside that giant machine who does the job.

Has anyone considered that there could be a person hidden behind or within that HUGE panel swapping out that generic shirt. Especially when, if you look at the folded shirt she's holding, there appears to be a clear panel holding the folded shape in place?

It seems that every new device at CES or similar venues in the 2010s said the tech will be in the average consumers' home by 2020 (examples: Ethanol Fuel Cell, home automation, laundry folding machine). It is 2021 bro, and the tech isn't here.

what ultimately needs to happen (in the future) is this: "Hamper+washer+dryer+this laundroid (or the like)".... all integrated into one closet. Just throw your dirty clothes in the hamper, and always have clean, folded, steam pressed, scented clothes ready. If it takes a day or 2 to wash and fold, who cares. If this happens, then we've truly arrived at stress free laundry.

So you load in a T-shirt, then wait for the Laundroid to fold it, then remove it, and then load another shirt?? Is that how it works?

Imagine you invest on this not knowing that the one folding the clothes it’s a human being. lol Now you have to take care of the machine and the human included. Just me here thinking. lol
@MrEggyman99
@MrEggyman99 7 лет назад
Great! all you will have to do is put some food and water into the slot now and again, oh and clean the human waste out the bottom compartment from the slave worker trapped inside that takes 10 minutes to fold a sock. I heard if you feed it money it folds in a fraction of the time. Lol, just get a Foldimate if people want this sorta thing as at least it's near production completion.

Yeah it's cool and impressive but. Unless it does this with a lot of clothes and quick, it's hella useless of a machine. But I guess it could aid disabled people.

What the heck? Seriously we have machines that can do anything. We have drones, Jets and other amazing vehicles.. Can somebody please invent a Machine wich washe's dry's and folds? It isnt necessary to spend a ton of money this should be normal in every household. It should also cost a minimum of electricity and be damn fast. Its 2017 folks... This Machine here is a joke and i am completley serious about that.

I try to applaud every worthy technological endeavor, but come on. If it still takes 7 to 10 minutes to fold a single tshirt, the product is still pre-alpha and is not even worth showing to the public. I'm sure they're looking for investors, but come on... The concept should at least promise folding times in seconds and not minutes.
