I had to cut over 20 min. out of my original reaction video 😒 it took over 4 HOURS to edit, render, and upload this. I hope that you all still enjoy it. It's basically me talking about what I see and reading stuff. At least EVERYONE can see this video. Thank you all for your tremendous support as always! Please don't forget to give it a LIKE, leave a COMMENT, and SHARE this if you did enjoy it.

Watching you struggle with Minho's name is absolutely hilarious. Also both are correct, you can say it with or without the h, I think most ppl pronounce is as "Mino" tho hahhah

7:00 ‘maknae’ is a Korean expression that refers to the youngest, so the ‘maknaes’ of the group are seungmin and I.n bc they’re the two youngest :) also, 7:16 skz have now released another full album called ‘noeasy’,another mini album (oddinary) plus a Japanese mini album
@RM_formerlyjustRMbutYTsucks
3RACHA like "three-racha" -- a play on the hot sauce Sriracha. In Korea's Confucian age-hierarchy system, ages are really important. The maknae is the youngest person in a group, company, family, etc, and there's expectations put on them as the person at the bottom of the pecking order. In kpop, they're generally the ones expected to perform aegyo (the hyper-cutesy behavior), and in general there are expectations like the youngest catering to the elders, eating last, being submissive, and whatnot. In the case of SKZ, Australian Chan flipped the system on its head, and SKZ has a maknae-first culture instead. Their maknae literally has his own song called "Maknae on Top" to make sure everybody knows who's really at the top in SKZ. The youngest eats first. He's the most likely member to smack somebody. They adore him while he's basically going "Leave me alone. Don't touch me. I'll kill you." He's well known for being a slightly cantankerous 70-year-old man in a 21-year-old body. Anyway, Seungmin is indeed the second youngest and thus the second maknae after I.N. But Seungmin, Felix, and Han are all within a week of each other, and in the Korean age system, those three and Hyunjin are all considered the same age. So nobody babies Seungmin the same way they try to baby I.N (who's considered an entire year younger than the other four members of the maknae line even though he's really only about 4.5 months younger than Han, Felix, and Seungmin). Honestly, the most babied member is Felix -- even by Seungmin and I.N, who are both younger. You'll pretty much always be safe with long-ass reactions to guides. We'll show up to watch new people react to the same hour-long guide we've already seen fifty times, just so we can experience it afresh with the newest reactor. This guide is still one of the best, but it's definitely outdated now. Since Back Door and its album IN生, SKZ have released three Japanese singles/minis, a full-length Korean album, a Christmas album, a Korean mini-album, several Korean singles, OSTs, and multiple SKZ-Record and SKZ-Player independent releases. I've never seen them go more than a month without releasing something new. Channie's Room also just passed episode 172, and 173 will happen this weekend unless Chan is unexpectedly unavailable, which almost never happens.
@RM_formerlyjustRMbutYTsucks
"Dongsaeng" is another term related to Korea's age-centric hierarchy. Older siblings, as well as people who are older but not hugely so (roughly speaking, maybe no more than 10-15 years' age gap) and to whom you are close, are called "hyung" (big brother) and "noona" (big sister) by younger boys/men, and "oppa" (big brother) and "unnie"/"oennie" (big sister) by younger girls/women. In return, the younger people -- whether actual siblings or simply younger people to whom the elder ones are close -- are all "dongsaengs," or basically "younger siblings." However, while they're _referred_ to as such -- "He's my dongsaeng" -- they are not _addressed_ as such. The terms for elders will be used in direct address in place of names -- you will say "Hyung, let's get lunch." But the youngers are simply addressed by name -- you won't say "Dongsaeng, let's get lunch." Anyway, Han saying Felix is more like a dongsaeng than I.N is him saying Felix seems more like their little brother than I.N does, despite the fact that I.N is the youngest member (the maknae) and Felix is literally less than 24 hours younger than Han. As mentioned in an earlier comment, Felix is the member universally viewed as their baby by the others, even the two who are younger than him. Like in Japanese, Korean surnames come before given names. So I.N's full name is Yang (surname) Jeongin (personal name). Korean doesn't have the [æ] phoneme (as in _ash_ or _cat)._ So when you see an "a" in a romanized Korean word, it's meant to basically be [ɐ] (kind of as in _long_ or _awe)._ "Yang" roughly rhymes with "song." Not perfect, but closer than rhyming it with "sang." "Jeongin" is roughly "Jung-in" or "Johng-in." Again, not perfect, but close. Refer back to the earlier note about the romanized Korean phonetics being more straightforward than in English. If there's a "j," they mean the class English "j" sound in "join" or "jerky." If they mean a "y" sound, they'll just use a "y". 53:51 You accidentally said I.N's name almost perfectly. But again, just go with his stage name, "I.N," and save yourself the confusion. "Trot" music is just "trot" -- like a horse trot. Rhymes with "pot."
@RM_formerlyjustRMbutYTsucks
When the guide says Hyunjin has difficulty with some pronunciation, it's true. Yes, enunciation was also an issue, but even today he still occasionally has to work on pronunciation moments. No, when we say Hyunjin is a drama queen, we absolutely 100% mean that. He's _also_ loud sometimes, yes, but he's a next-level drama llama. He's infamously dramatic and is the leader of Dramaracha. The romanizations of Korean words will be pretty intuitively phonetic. For instance, if there's a "g", it will be a hard "g" (as in _girl_ or _grow)._ If the sound is intended to be a "j" (the soft "g" sound in things like _gerbil_ and _geriatric),_ they'll use a "j". If there's a "ch," it's meant to be as in _chew_ or _cherry,_ not the /k/ sound like _card_ or _carry._ If they mean the /k/ sound, they'll just use "k" or "kk". The romanizations aren't always perfect representations of Korean phonemes, but they still tend to be a lot more consistent and logical than actual English words and the million ways all its borrowed sounds get pronounced. Just call Lee Know "Lee Know." People keep confusing new folks by using his given name of Minho, and it's annoying af because there's no reason to complicate things like that. Even off stage, he virtually never gets called "Minho" by anyone, including his group members. Just go with "Lee Know" and make your life easier. Ditto with just calling I.N "I.N." Ignore the people who insist on calling him "Jeongin" and confusing new folks. Also ditto with Han -- just call him "Han" and ignore all the people who insist on calling him "Jisung." Once you get to know them all well enough, knowing them by multiple names and nicknames will come naturally and not be confusing. But while you're learning them, it's easiest to just stick with their stage names: Bang Chan (or just Chan is fine in this one case), Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, I.N. Yes, Felix did the intro for God's Ddu-du Dd-du. He's the _other_ Aussie, though -- both Felix and Chan are Australian in both identity and citizenship (and accent).

@@DiggityBippity Guides are very long so don't worry about it if you are not in a mood to edit another one. The basic info doesn't really change and most of the things that are added in the new one you will come across if you watch different compilations and videos from fans or take song requests. They tend to be more fun to watch and usually there is less of a chance of copyright as well :).

@@DiggityBippity Like I mentioned in my Patreon comment, the 2022 guide is excellent with current happenings as it’s from April 2022 but it’s also heavy with spoilers on music videos & performances you have yet to react to like it was with this guide. I think if you do watch it be prepared to look away or fast forward if you don’t want the spoiler or just keep taking the recs from us stays. A lot of what’s added in her guide is kingdom stuff and that’s MNET which I’m sure you know by now is HUGE on blocking you so you would have to edit it anyway🤷🏽‍♀️ But I would like to add that SKZ dropped 4 m/v’s in like 8 days in March 2022 all from their Oddinary (not a typo) album. Maniac, Venom, Lonely St. & Freeze. Oddinary debuted at #1 in a lot of countries but most importantly at #1 on U.S. Billboards top 200 and also #1 on Billboards U.S. World Albums! We were so proud of them! Usually when a kpop group releases a new song it’s called a comeback and they will do over two weeks of non-stop music show performances for the fans, but also to promote and to try and win awards for that comeback which is like a competition against other groups who also have comebacks at the same time. When the much hyped Maniac finally came out, Stray Kids only got to do one performance before realizing later that day one of them tested positive for Covid. It eventually got 5 of the 8 and pretty much ruined all of their promotion for it. But us Stays kept busy for them getting their Maniac video 50 million views within 12 days. 😊✌🏼

SKZ really are an incredibly talented group, and as of 2022 Bangchan, Changbin, and Han all have like over 100 songs credited to their names. (Changbin has 109 credits, Bangchan has 122, And Han has like 100 data all from KOMCA copyright charts from 2022) I do highly recommend checking out their Survival show even if you don’t react to it and post it. It really gives insight to how Stray Kids came to be stray kids, and how hard they really worked in order to debut as 9 members. (It can be watched on strayksubs website.) (The Ninth member was woojin, he left the group in 2019 due to ‘personal reasons’. Some stay like to read more into the situation and it’s cause a lot of discourse within the fandom, even still to this day.) If you’d like to hear more of Seungmin’s incredible vocals, the Mayfly vocal group during kingdom (made up of Seo Eunkwang from BTOB, Jongho from ATEEZ, and Seungmin) did a cover of IU’s Love Poem and absolutely blew away the competition. The harmonies in that song are to die for. As far as the insane vocals of Han, their kingdom performance of BTOB’s I’ll be your man really shows them off. I.N’s vocals really show in this song as well! To kind of put their vocal capabilities in proportion, SKZ kept the song in it’s original key, and even BTOB said that the song is one of the hardest songs to sing due to the extremely high key. This performance also shows how amazing they are at creating and coming up with ideas and storylines as well as performances. The performance isn’t explosive like god’s dududu is, but the storyline is insane and they really reinterpreted the song extremely well. The performance video on RU-vid sadly doesn’t have the English lyrics to the song, but in my opinion the storyline and acting of SKZ really conveys the story well enough that the lyrics not being there doesn’t matter.
@RM_formerlyjustRMbutYTsucks
Even better (regarding KOMCA credits), as of 8-18-22, they're at 129, 116, and 112 credits, but Chan's (and Hyunjin's) will go up again on the next update. Which means that Chan will clear a minimum of 130 credits before age 25 -- more if the expected comeback or any new SKZ-Records/Players hit before the October update.
@RM_formerlyjustRMbutYTsucks
@@lessa_nim Ah, I must have missed an update! As of 8-13-22, I had them at #13, 18, & 19. I'll update my notes and bump him up to #12. Do you happen to know if that new info included any change in placement for Bin's #18 or Han's #19?
