Yu Tao, the captain of China's first Type 055 destroyer, the Nanchang, talked about the ship's first formation drill of 2023 in the waters of the Yellow Sea, together with the Type 052 destroyer Qingdao and the Type 054A frigate Linyi.
He said that the practical task design of the drill has helped the Nanchang well prepare for various possible threats at sea.
Also, Nanchang's deputy captain Liang Dong introduced the combat weapons onboard the vessel, which are not inferior compared with advanced warships abroad.
