Do you believe in near-death experiences? If not, did this episode change your perspective?

I do. I am not sure what exactly it's happening. I was laying down one night, I felt an extremely peace that I have never felt before or after it lasted like 3 seconds. I am not sure what happened

No it didn't. This guy is no scientists. Since when is collecting anonymous stories on the internet via his website science? It's ridiculous. Jeffrey Long seems to think this is science, It's not. He is even worse than Bruce Greyson who is the KING of anecdotes. He spent 30+ years researching NDE:s and the only thing he has come up with is a collection of stories that's impossible to verify. They claim it's verified but I've never seen this third party in an interview or whatever to confirm it. And even if they showed up, how could you possibly know that they are telling the truth? That's why you need scientific CONTROLLED studies. People who fear death or simply want to believe it's true from wishful thinking will now start debating me, showing even more unverified anecdotes, or pseudo science. They never give you proof, PS: Dr Long has access to facilities due to the nature of his work, why has he never used these facilities and resources in order to prove NDE:s?! Also - take a look at the comment above me, that's the "level" of evidence basically. "I felt peece for 3 minutes laying in bed" = it must be something supernatural. Lol.

As a teenager I was put into years of stressful situations with an abusive single parent, we finally hit a financial wall and I was only staying alive to not abandon my dog with my parent. One day I gave up and accepted my dog would be okay, I can leave earth now, and I was screaming in my bed crying it out. Suddenly I heard a man’s voice say calmly Hang on I know it’s hard but you’re here for something bigger. I was so shocked I thought a man was in my room? I told myself DONT forget this moment it’s so weird it’s something you explain away. The voice interrupted me. It was not my conscience speaking. And as I write this I look at the time it’s 11:11 and you had 111 comments on this video!

Dear doctor I would like to add some information I had a nde when I was only 8 yrs old and when I died I saw my small body and I could see very clearly a ablulance rushing to my aid and you see unfortunately at the exact time I was hit by the car my mom just happened to be driving by coming from her work when my mom saw the little girl on the ground she did not realize it was me laying there I could see my mom roll down her window to get a closer look and when she saw it was me she rushed over to me crying and then I was put into the ablulance with my mom I then could see I was rushed into the children’s hospital and I was quickly rushed into surgery I could see the surgeon working very fast it seemed he said I don’t think this little girl is going to make it but I did long story short I saw the whole operation and I could here all that was said about me between the doctors and the nurses and when I was saved and alert in the hospital I could wait to tell the doctors and nurses what they all said about me and when I did they all just said wow that is so amazing Carol and then one day when my mom came to visit me I told her I saw in heaven that she would meet a man in the future and he would be a builder of homes and build her a mansion this mansion was a English tutor home and guess what it all came true you see my real farther passed away when I was 4 yrs old and I was told by a angle that I was giver 4 gifts a gift to see many visions and to see some of future events another thing they the doctor noticed is that he looked at my hands and there were 2 circles on them and still today at age 60 I still have them and I could see certain events in my family’s future that all came true and my friends often would ask me for readings but some visions I see are good and some unfortunately are not good but the bad ones I keep to my self for god is in control of that if you understand what I mean 😢 I could just talk about heaven forever but it would take much to long one more thing please do not worry to much about what may happen on earth because god has a plan for all please 🙏 pray and repent for sins that have been committed pray for all. Unfortunately, there are people who lie, but most people will not lie about this. I changed, most people change, you have no choice, once you have seen the other side. Too bad some people don't believe these stories, at least they were told. I get tired of repeating myself, but, there is always someone out there you feel you have to tell. There are other medical professionals who studied NDEs. The names that I recommend looking into are: - Dr Bruce Greyson (and the IANDS Association); - Dr Sam Parnia; - Dr Pim Van Lommel; - Dr Mike Saboom; - Nurse Cathy Milne. There are also medical professionals who had an NDE, such as Dr Eben Alexander and Dr Bettina Peyton. I hope to see them all on your channel and I hope that these names will be useful to anybody interested in medical research on the topic

Hi Doctor. I've been a fan of yours for many years and like you, I find the field of near death experiences absolutely profound and fascinating. We as humans cannot comprehend the idea that we are eternal beings but it seems that's what we are. I'm almost 70 and it's closer to the end than the beginning of my life so this subject is of more importance for me now than when I was younger. Thanks for continuing to research this most profound subject. Mike Lozano.

A segment from 'Saved by the Light of the Buddha Within'... My new understandings of what many call 'God -The Holy Spirit' - resulting from some of the extraordinary ongoing after-effects relating to my NDE... Myoho-Renge-Kyo represents the identity of what some scientists are now referring to as the unified field of consciousnesses. In other words, it’s the essence of all existence and non-existence - the ultimate creative force behind planets, stars, nebulae, people, animals, trees, fish, birds, and all phenomena, manifest or latent. All matter and intelligence are simply waves or ripples manifesting to and from this core source. Consciousness (enlightenment) is itself the actual creator of everything that exists now, ever existed in the past, or will exist in the future - right down to the minutest particles of dust - each being an individual ripple or wave. The big difference between chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo and most other conventional prayers is that instead of depending on a ‘middleman’ to connect us to our state of inner enlightenment, we’re able to do it ourselves. That’s because chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo allows us to tap directly into our enlightened state by way of this self-produced sound vibration. ‘Who or What Is God?’ If we compare the concept of God being a separate entity that is forever watching down on us, to the teachings of Nichiren, it makes more sense to me that the true omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence of what most people perceive to be God, is the fantastic state of enlightenment that exists within each of us. Some say that God is an entity that’s beyond physical matter - I think that the vast amount of information continuously being conveyed via electromagnetic waves in today’s world gives us proof of how an invisible state of God could indeed exist. For example, it’s now widely known that specific data relayed by way of electromagnetic waves has the potential to help bring about extraordinary and powerful effects - including an instant global awareness of something or a mass emotional reaction. It’s also common knowledge that these invisible waves can easily be used to detonate a bomb or to enable NASA to control the movements of a robot as far away as the Moon or Mars - none of which is possible without a receiver to decode the information that’s being transmitted. Without the receiver, the data would remain impotent. In a very similar way, we need to have our own ‘receiver’ switched on so that we can activate a clear and precise understanding of our own life, all other life and what everything else in existence is. Chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo each day helps us to achieve this because it allows us to reach the core of our enlightenment and keep it switched on. That’s because Myoho-Renge-Kyo represents the identity of what scientists now refer to as the unified field of consciousnesses. To break it down - Myoho represents the Law of manifestation and latency (Nature) and consists of two alternating states. For example, the state of Myo is where everything in life that’s not obvious to us exists - including our stored memories when we’re not thinking about them - our hidden potential and inner emotions whenever they’re dormant - our desires, our fears, our wisdom, happiness, karma - and more importantly, our enlightenment. The other state, ho, is where everything in Life exists whenever it becomes evident to us, such as when a thought pops up from within our memory - whenever we experience or express our emotions - or whenever a good or bad cause manifests as an effect from our karma. When anything becomes apparent, it merely means that it’s come out of the state of Myo (dormancy/latency) and into a state of ho (manifestation). It’s the difference between consciousness and unconsciousness, being awake or asleep, or knowing and not knowing. The second law - Renge - Ren meaning cause and ge meaning effect, governs and controls the functions of Myoho - these two laws of Myoho and Renge, not only function together simultaneously but also underlies all spiritual and physical existence. The final and third part of the tri-combination - Kyo, is the Law that allows Myoho to integrate with Renge - or vice versa. It’s the great, invisible thread of energy that fuses and connects all Life and matter - as well as the past, present and future. It’s also sometimes termed the Universal Law of Communication - perhaps it could even be compared with the string theory that many scientists now suspect exists. Just as the cells in our body, our thoughts, feelings and everything else is continually fluctuating within us - all that exists in the world around us and beyond is also in a constant state of flux - constantly controlled by these three fundamental laws. In fact, more things are going back and forth between the two states of Myo and ho in a single moment than it would ever be possible to calculate or describe. And it doesn’t matter how big or small, famous or trivial anything or anyone may appear to be, everything that’s ever existed in the past, exists now or will exist in the future, exists only because of the workings of the Laws ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’ - the basis of the four fundamental forces, and if they didn’t function, neither we nor anything else could go on existing. That’s because all forms of existence, including the seasons, day, night, birth, death and so on, are moving forward in an ongoing flow of continuation - rhythmically reverting back and forth between the two fundamental states of Myo and ho in absolute accordance with Renge - and by way of Kyo. Even stars are dying and being reborn under the workings of what the combination ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’ represents. Nam, or Namu - which mean the same thing, are vibrational passwords or keys that allow us to reach deep into our life and fuse with or become one with ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’. On a more personal level, nothing ever happens by chance or coincidence, it’s the causes that we’ve made in our past, or are presently making, that determine how these laws function uniquely in each of our lives - as well as the environment from moment to moment. By facing east, in harmony with the direction that the Earth is spinning, and chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo for a minimum of, let’s say, ten minutes daily to start with, any of us can experience actual proof of its positive effects in our lives - even if it only makes us feel good on the inside, there will be a definite positive effect. That’s because we’re able to pierce through the thickest layers of our karma and activate our inherent Buddha Nature (our enlightened state). By so doing, we’re then able to bring forth the wisdom and good fortune that we need to challenge, overcome and change our adverse circumstances - turn them into positive ones - or manifest and gain even greater fulfilment in our daily lives from our accumulated good karma. This also allows us to bring forth the wisdom that can free us from the ignorance and stupidity that’s preventing us from accepting and being proud of the person that we indeed are - regardless of our race, colour, gender or sexuality. We’re also able to see and understand our circumstances and the environment far more clearly, as well as attract and connect with any needed external beneficial forces and situations. As I’ve already mentioned, everything is subject to the law of Cause and Effect - the ‘actual-proof-strength’ resulting from chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo always depends on our determination, sincerity and dedication. For example, the levels of difference could be compared to making a sound on a piano, creating a melody, producing a great song, and so on. Something else that’s very important to always respect and acknowledge is that the Law (or if you prefer God) is in everyone and everything. NB: There are frightening and disturbing sounds, and there are tranquil and relaxing sounds. It’s the emotional result of any noise or sound that can trigger off a mood or even instantly change one. When chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo each day, we are producing a sound vibration that’s the password to our true inner-self - this soon becomes apparent when you start reassessing your views on various things - such as your fears and desires etc. The best way to get the desired result when chanting is not to view things conventionally - rather than reaching out to an external source, we need to reach into our own lives and bring our needs and desires to fruition from within - including the good fortune and strength to achieve any help that we may need. Chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo also reaches out externally and draws us towards, or draws towards us, what we need to make us happy from our environment. For example, it helps us to be in the right place at the right time - to make better choices and decisions and so forth. We need to think of it as a seed within us that we’re watering and bringing sunshine to for it to grow, blossom and bring forth fruit or flowers. It’s also important to understand that everything we need in life, including the answer to every question and the potential to achieve every dream, already exists within us.

What's the purpose of children dying from leukemia?
@janinedevilliers510
@janinedevilliers510 2 месяца назад
@@StoddardianThat is a good question. Further to that what is the purpose of all suffering in it's infinite forms? Wars which encompasses everything about war, being born severely deformed, suffering from chronic pain, getting an incurable disease, being raped, being burnt alive, stabbed to death, being stoned to death, suicide, being beaten by an abusive person, psychopaths, mass murderers, serial killers, poverty, hunger, homelessness, abusive narcissists, a lack of money, not being able to be employed, debt, etc. Just to scratch the surface. On the otherside, which is we come from and go back to in love, bliss, and peace. This world is earth school where we choose to come to experience contrasts. We can only understand something if we have experienced it. You can read about eating a fresh juicy orange, but until you have experienced eating an orange yourself, you would not really know what an orange looks like, feels like, how it smells and how it tastes. Apparantly, when our soul decides to have a human experience it creates a blue print with it's guides, or more advanced souls. The soul that is going to have a human experience can choose to get sick from cancer. It could be to learn love and compassion for oneself and for others. It could be that the soul is helping a parent or it's parents things that they need to learn for each of their own soul growth. Once the soul leaves the physical suit, it goes back to the light and returns in its light form to love, light, peace and bliss. The soul reviews it's life to see everything for all perspectives st the same time and learns where it did great and where it caused suffering. The soul expands with experience and knowledge. If you are in a constant state of love you would not know what the opposite contrast is. When we have a human experience we forget the other side. We struggle here. We dont experience live here like the other side. When people have a near death experience they go back to the other side and feel completely loved. Many start to remember that is there real home. And remember pure love. I can suggest watching another RU-vid channel called the JeffMara podcast. Jeff interviews people every day, who have had a near death experience. The videos are about an hour long. When you watch and listen to hundreds and hundreds of near death experiences, we find out that we, as a soul chose the life we incarnated into. Even if it comes with great suffering. Another interesting book I read was about Buddha. I am not a Buddhist but I found the storey very interesting. He was a prince. His father was a powerful rich emperor. Buddha was protected from ever seeing outside the palace walls. One dat he escaped and saw sickness and poverty and dying people. It horrified him because inside the palace, he was protected. To cut a ling storey short, Buddha decided that he wanted to give up his riches and life as a prince to find out the meaning of life and why we suffer. He tried many practices on his travels which did not answer his questions. He became ascetic and weak. One day Buddha sat down under the Bodhi tree meditating and said that he was not going to move until he found the answer. And that is eventually when he achieved enlightenment. Did he have a near death experience? We dont know. In light en ment. The light eithin. The devine spark is in all of us. Once Buddha achieved enlightnment he told his followers. How could he explain what he experienced? One can only know unless one experiences it themselves. After that Buddha spoke about the middle way. Today, many people are taking many paths to wake up. We are spirit having a human experience and our mission is to love. We are told by thousands of people who have had a near death experience to live and be of service to others for the benefit of all. Because we are all one. We are all devine sparks of lights part of the whole having a perceived individual experience but we are all connected. Once on the other side a soul who has left it's physical shell behind it is not suffering. There are many exit points to a soul blueprint. I know it hurts most of us to see suffering. I hope that you eill watch more videos about near death experiences. The more I watch, the more I learn. Wishing you peace.

It's light-years away from even coming close to scientific work, let alone proving NDEs, because anyone can lie without scrutiny. It's also very lazy! So no, he is not trying. He is trying to sell his book though, which is full of zero evidence. If you accept this as "proof" you're very naive.

Love your podcast and your research. I agree with most everything you've said after a full two years of listening to and reading nearby death experiences. I do disagree on one point. You said it's best that everyone doesn't know how beautiful life after death is because if they did they may cop-out and prefer to die VS to live. I, however, believe that if everyone knew about the magnificence of life after death, they would work harder to be their best selves while here, like those who have suicided and survived. They and other near death experiencers know there is a reason why we are here and they want to stay here to fulfill their purpose. If it were true that it's not a good thing for everyone to know of the beauty of the other side, the great teachers on the other side wouldn't send people back with the message that they are to spread the knowledgeof the other side. Isn't it true that your mission is to educate people so that we all know what is beyond this life? Knowing brings great peace and helps us to recognize that we are all one, that to harm others is to harm one's self. It seems to me that the more people that know this good news the fewer acts of violence and a greater chance of creating a heavenly existence here.

I have read a lot about NDEs. I am still conflicted as to whether they are the real deal or not. Points _against_ there being real: *Most religious people see the particular God that they happen to believe in. That casts doubt upon their authenticity. *A possible rebuttal*. Just as many patients see their own loved ones, including [sometimes] pets, perhaps it isn't strange that most patients also see ‘their own’ religious figures, too. *Most people experiencing NDEs claim they are given a “choice” as to whether they want to come back or not. Many people die every day who have their whole lives ahead of them. Some have dependents. I have to wonder why only the select few who have NDEs are given this “choice” to come back, while so many others aren't. *Those who have bad NDEs don't seem to be worse people than the majority who have good NDEs. Nor does being religious or non-religious seem to play any role. These facts seem very odd. Points _in favor_ of NDEs being real: **Born blind* patients have accurately described what the medical room looks like, including the instruments, in detail. This fact is very hard to explain. *Patients have correctly recalled conversations that took place in _other rooms_ while being clinically dead. This fact is also very hard to explain. Another strange possibility is that even if NDEs aren't actually real, time dilation effects could make the experience of the mind SEEM to last for a very long period of time. That would make them all-too real for the dying patients experiencing them.

Afterlife exist or not. We should not be discussing because this we haven't been dead yet. So those who have ndes, for them, I believe their experiences. But we look at meterial world and be realistic it doesn't exist.

If there is reincarnation (I hope not) why do people see dead relatives in a NDE? Wouldn't these souls be in another life form? You said that your dad died when you were 12 yet your mom saw him..Is he not reincarnated yet? And what is so important that we have to live multiple times when most people live mundane lives that aren't that significant

Globally the number of births outnumber deaths 2 to 1..If there is reincarnation, why does the human population keep going up..Unless lower life forms are now human..Buddhist or Hindu teaching say that once you're a human you don't come back as a lower life form

I had same question. After listening this interview, one theory came to my mind. Maybe there is no reincarnation, but instead those people / souls who have memories of being someone else in the past, are actually having false memories based on either accessing the knowledge of that person in some profound way, confusing it for their own experience. Maybe they accessed that knowledge before they came to Earth? If our souls are live in that other world before we come to Earth, then maybe we have access to some knowledge, maybe our soul can be best buddy with the soul who lived on Earth in that past and we feel so connected to that “best buddy” soul, that soul perhaps shared her life experiences with us. Then maybe som people can remember our. “best buddy” soul’s life experiences but confusing it for our own. I think that’s possible. I know for sure in this Earth life, I have a friend with whom I would share some experience, like a funny thing that happened to me. Later she would tell me a story about that same event/experience convinced she was part of it. But she wasn’t. So if humans that live on Earth can confuse other people’s experiences for their own, I would argue that same is possible with humans souls while they live on Earth.

My Mama died suddenly in my Arms January 4th 2024 at 3:00PM Mama was scared of dying, I recently learned from the Paramedics who worked on her in the Ambulance for the 42 mile drive to Waco Trauma, that Mama died in the Ambulance about 7 minutes from the Doctors at Trauma Center. Dr Long is so smart, loving, and explains things in ways that are medically convincing. I pray my Mama was not panicked, in fear if her spirit was above her body in the Ambulance. That worry has haunted me since that horrible day her Heart suddenly failed. 😢 My Heart is torn, my Soul ripped, everyday tears, loneliness her absence It has taken my day and night away, the loss of her so suddenly and then her 15 year doggy companion “Itty” has been unbearable, the worst pain in my entire life. Great interview. But once again, really wish you could delve into the implications of hauntings with these NDE Proponents, not that he'd have much insight given the focus; much like Reincarnation. But it would be interesting to hear his opinions, if any. For those that wonder why, Hauntings imply being able to escape the whole tunnel experience and , essentially remain floating in the Hospital cafeteria, as he said. Now, this may fall in line with the free will aspect of what he said in regards to choosing where we go. But the implications of paranormal investigators is, is that many are lost or need help, somehow stuck, or don't know they're even dead. This could be paradolea in the sense we hear what we want in the evps; subjective proof over objective truth. But some EVP's are class a crystal clear. How does this intertwine with the "seemingly mandatory fade to black and leaving here to go into the tunnel?" Where does the disconnect happen from the "Dungeon Master board game creator" that forces everyone else but them into the NDE transition? Psychics like Theresa Caputo or Investigators like Cody & Satori (assuming you believe) imply these realms are on top of ours but somewhat separate, or perhaps those that fully cross over can return at will, but are somewhat separate from those that are "lost" or "stuck". It could also be, that hell realm he speaks of is this Purgatory, or there is a spectrum, where your conscious/ sub conscious choices place you in the realm of your making, like a nightmare. Also, if suicide is such a mistake, what does he think happens to the People that are successful? As he only hears from the ones that are sent back. It also seems awefully paradoxical that people can have a purpose or much to learn in some grand plan but god can't seem to account for accidental deaths in his elaborate board game. For example, there are plenty of people that die from complicated "Final Destination" type events, or even trying to reach a train jumping, tripping and getting ran over. I've seen the videos. The implications are that life can be flippantly thrown under a bus so to speak, and Death can also come with complicated elaborance as if either ordained or implying the accidental deaths are more elaborate and impirtant than the life taken. If people are dying by grand schemes or flippant accidents, are these also part of gods board game? Does not everyone deserve "more to learn"? Or are they as much of mistakes as the NDEs that get sent back? And if so, again, what does this imply in the paradox of a lesson plan ordained by the creator that immediately gets thrown out the window, or under a train, because of something evidently unforseen by an all knowing, all powerful being? Kids die, and don't come back. Babies die, and don't come back. If they are murdered by cancer or pneumonia, is that ordained? If they're murdered by a person on the grand plan of god to learn life lessons, is that also not ordained? Would be nice if an NDE'r could grille this god, but they get too wrapped up in the sancity of it all.

The simple answer is that we either live on a prison planet, a soul harvesting farm or perhaps the afterlife doesn't exist....
@rhaddon66
@rhaddon66 5 месяцев назад
The afterlife refers to a Creator, who is Love. I believe not everybody will turn back to Love, based on their choices on earth. There is an area in the afterlife called hell. It is descriped by all major religions. Many people who had an NDE witness of this on RU-vid. So not everybody will return back to Love when they leave their body. Think of murderers, child molestors, rapists. People like Hitler. So it's not a happy place for everybody. This does not mean you have to be afraid of the afterlife, but to think about the message of Jesus Christ, who says that all people are separated from Love by their sinfull nature. So their nature must be reborn. Those that are reborn will return back to Love, who is God. We must not avoid to speak about this, otherwise people will do evil and think God will be okay with that in the afterlife.There are consequences when we reject the message of Jesus Christ.

People like myself who have very vivid dreams which they regularly remember in great detail and also have a good level of education as to how the body works have a hard time believing that NDE's are anything more than the imagination. The mind is truly a bizarre thing and it is difficult to know what it is capable of in its own right without this needing to go to a supernatural conclusion. That said I have experienced a number of 'synchronicities' since the death of my father that qre odd but again there is no way to prove these are more than coincidence. For the record I want there to be an afterlife, I don't like the idea of personal anhilation at death, but I find the evidence for one very subjective, why should I trust other people to tell the truth and not exaggerate what could be nothing more than hallucinations or dreams created with influences from their personal beliefs and popular culture?

The absence of everything, especially sensory experiences is the hallmark of death. Therefore its very strange to attach sensory impressions to death while they clearly belong in the realm of life. I think it could help clarify the nature and possible consequences of NDE’s better because there’s less wishful thinking involved. Whatever the wish maybe by the way. *Scrutinizing Near-Death Experiences: Questions and Observations* *Questioning the Timing of Near-Death Experiences* The two biggest questions I have with near-death experiences are how do they know that the experiences they are having is during the period when they are clinically and technically dead in which the brain have no activity and not having the experience just shortly right before death and after one's been revived? Time in our dreams are a bit whacky and not as concise when we're awake. What might feel like hours or even days in our dreams may have only been minutes. *Doubts about the Authenticity of Near-Death Experiences* Second question is the awareness of the individual during these near death experiences. Many have claimed that it is more real than actual reality itself, more real than when they were alive. To me (now this is just my opinion), their behavior is one i interpret as not someone who fully believe what they're saying is true, but rather someone who convinces themselves that its true. *Similarities between Near-Death Experiences and Dreams* Whenever a person describes their experiences they always tend to describe it the same way as someone who is describing a dream. They are rather vague with their descriptions and only speak about the most significant parts of their experience. They jump from one event to another just like dream experiences. *Lack of Emphasis on the Profoundness of Near-Death Experiences* When a person dreams it is real for that person, its only when we wake from that dream is when we realize that it wasnt. You would think that people who have these near death experiences if what they say is true how real the experiences was for them that they would emphasize that fact, but they dont. *Personal Experience with a Profound Event* For example the time I witnessed a ufo 7 - 10 years ago I wont go into details about what happen, but witnessing that was so profound that I could not drop it I had to tell everyone and not just simply retelling what I witnessed, but to describe it in a way so the person im telling it too would experience it as if they to was there. Here's the big argument against NDEs and that is, if NDEs are real then everyone should have them, but not everyone do. Either everyone have Near Death Experiences or noone does. The similarities i see are not "Death" experiences , but rather "Dream" experiences. If Near Death Experiences are real than everyone should have them and not just a few. Everyone should have a Near Death Experience or noone at all. This only strengthen the experiences caused by a dying brain argument just like how some people dream some people dont. Most of us dream about things that happen throughout the day or about things that we have in our minds a thought for example, so it would make complete sense for someone to have these experiences of being in the hospital floating above the ceiling, seeing doctors etc. because that is what is imprinted on their mind as the person is experiencing moments before they die their belief system plays a large part in what they experience, but as for it happening during the time they are clinically dead theres no evidence for that. All this could be happening shortly before death or after being revived.

Just wait till you die and you'll see ;) nb had a nde experience at the age of 11, I fainted in a train ans was looking at my body from above, and I remember feeling so strange seeing everybody so worried around my body because I was feeling better than ever... tried to tell it to my mom right away but she just hushed me, she certainly wasn't feeling comfortable 'cos all the world was watching and listening... so I just thought then it was irrelevant and never spoke about it with anyone but some very close friends... A couple of years later my mom had health issues and she, too, had experienced a couple of times short nde's watching her body and all the people around, hearing every word they say but unable to get back to her body, however, feeling very well fiscally, and then again she felt sick as soon as she had returned to her body... well, you don't normally tell such things to all the would because they would probably think you're nuts or would question your experience, then it doesn't seem important to prove it to anyone because you know one day they will experience the same thing....

@Seekingtruth-mx3ur Exactly agreed considering the fact that the whole premise of a Near Death Experience is the consciousness or others would call the soul, assuming everyone have one then why do only a small percentage of people Experience an NDE while the rest do not? It sounds similar to dreams, sometimes we have them, sometimes we dont hhmm.... and what do we usually dream about most the time? Just thoughts stored in our brains from life experiences and what not so it makes sense why people would experience the typical things one would associate with NDE because that's what they believe in a moment of life threatening crisis. I mean, we don't associate Santa Claus with dying. So even non believers will have NDE (and they do) because all it is, is the dying brain.
