Derk is so chill and I enjoyed his subtle sales pitch for both the car and camera. I’d be so disappointed to be behind the slow tobogganer too after waiting so long, but I guess he really wanted to get his money/time’s worth out of the experience! 😂

Great seeing Derk on here again! Seems like he has already gotten used to the life there in Changchun! The lake view was amazing but yeah, the lining up must have been frustrating. Can't wait to see more of your food adventure! Oh, I also love how Derk just casually pans to the logo of the car when Amy complements how smoothly the car goes. LOL but in all fairness, it does look like a super cool (and fancy) car!

Changchun is my home city where I was born and raised until I was 12 before I came to Canada. I lived very close to Jingyuetan Park for six years (abt 10 min drive) and me and my parents used to go there on the weekends just to take a walk. I remember back in the days (early 2010s) there were unguarded entrances where you could just drive through for free and smh exist at the legit entrance. 😂 Not that I could recall neither the cableway nor the toboggan were there at the time but it's always great to see all those improvement. Never the less the metro lines had grown massive over the past few years (nothing compared to the big cities) but still glad to see the upgrade of the infrastructures. Haven't been back to China since COVID and this video is rlly nostalgic for me. Thank you very much for making this amazing video and I am really glad that you are enjoying your time at Changchun. 💞

@8:38 thanks amy for taking us to the Jingyuetan National Forest Park. Appreciate your honest impressions and travel tips. You not only traveled about an hour to get there, but had to wait in line for an hour plus at multiple venues. Seems like many of the popular destinations are on a massive scale. @14:48 Amy : " . . . this is a very nice car to drive . . ." Derk pans directly to the Audi logo on the steering wheel . Derk never misses a business marketing opportunity.

@@Jess-737 That's not really true. Even smaller towns in the US once had extensive streetcar or light rail systems. LA once had a huge public transport system that was dismantled as US cities became more wealthy and diverse, and cars/highways became both more affordable and a way to prevent poor/Black residents from moving into/working in wealthier white areas.

So excited for you to visit the Philippines! I'd recommend the ff: Sisig (best if it's served sizzling!), Kare-Kare (stew with peanut sauce), adobo, pancit palabok or pancit malabon (they're both noodle dishes with an orange-colored shrimpy sauce), bulalo (beef bone & marrow soup), stuffed squid, pinakbet (vegetable dish with shrimp paste), bicol express (pork with coconut milk), kinilaw (raw seafood that is "cooked" in vinegar). For desert, of course we have halo-halo (shaved ice with lots of toppings), various "kakanin" (rice cakes) such as puto, kutsinta and biko, lengua de gato (filipino butter cookies), and buko pandan.
