Blogging theology is like Library in Bhagdad (Pre Mongol Invasion). You get all knowledge from this channel and give you comprehensive understanding of Islam from experts who immersed in this field. All for free. I thank Allah for this blessings you granted us through brother Paul
And here I am, a native Muslim, listening to İslam explained by two converts. Alhamdulillah! And djazakallahum khayran brothers for the very intresting lecture.
Not on you brother, Allah gave you a different perspective for a reason. Just as He gave them theirs and the purpose for why he gave them theirs COULD BE for this Channel to “talk the talk”. And the purpose for yours COULD be for future generations or “walk the walk”. I myself am inspired by this video to take the first step towards A harmonious And thriving ummah.
Exactly: "This is how the economy should be run." So the question is, who is running it like that? And, what is the problem when running the economy like that?
I absolutely loved this topic an d stands so relevant amidst the chaos of today's financial, socio economic degradation of today. I may not be a Muslim today, hopefully one day God willing I blessed to be one, I do want to eventually get my money halal. There is a RU-vidr here who talks about how to navigate the current state of interest or riba ridden system and stay in accordance to what was spoken here in this conversation. Thank you Paul, your channel surely is God's blessings on us to know so much about Islam. Thank you immensely.....
Thank you bro Paul for inviting Jamar Harwood. I have his book titled "The Global Financial Crisis" and read it. The book is very good. Detailed. But easy to understand for beginner like me.
Finally I can come across to Jamal Harwood's direct lecture about financial system. I have read his book titled The Global Financial Crisis and it is really good
Brother Paul salaam alaikum, what an excellent and very INSIGHTFUL presentation Jamal made. Wallahi he got every bullet point with precision. The only throwback the brother passed twice is "taking the control from the oppressive regimes." The question is how should we approach that?? That's a monumental task and Allah's help us sought in all of our affairs. He did a terrific job in exemplifying with hospital examples. We see that the entire world has sunk into oppression of every form and the Muslim nations have sunk in Riba. We know from Surah Al-Baqarah that Allah had promised to destroy Riba and the Prophet ﷺ had completely prohibited it during the opening of Mecca. Allah also promised that He and His Messenger will wake war upon those who consume, lend, take, multiply and fold Riba likewise and the curse of Allah is upon them including the witnesses, the one who signs it. Indeed because of Riba most of these European and western nation states have them themselves in a never ending spindle of self destruction particularly the US which is the prime example of who is the one running the show of Riba and world inflation.
Please have micheal Hudson on blogging theology. Things to discuss: 1) history of jubilee year in Judaism and Christianity 2) history of debt 3) oligarchy, democracy and tyranny - what did the word tyrant originally mean? 4) how Christianity got inverted. The role of Cyrus of Alexandria and Augustine in burning books and killing scholars. 5) How the current system is modelled on Greco-Roman ideals
I didn't know you had a brother Paul 😂 you two look so very similar. Thank you very much for this wonderful presentation Jamal. Inshaallah we will see the day when all these principles will be put in action once again.
Islamic system is comprehensive. It respects personal ownership but teaches that a person is a guardian over his money and that he has to spend it according to Allah's will i.e. give the needy. So unlike capitalism which has laws for personal gain or communism which forces sharing wealth, Islam got the best of both world. It's truly the middle ground and the upright path. Money is materialistic and without spirituality to push for using it for good, societies will face all kinds of ills such as poverty, envy, crime ... and the worst thing exploitation through riba/interest.
Brilliant presentation !!..JZK to both brothers..this only affirms our hope and desperation for a transformative revival of an Islamic Caliphate..maybe sooner than we think ..Ameen Bidznillah ❄️💙
I have been a fan since you had 80k subscribers and now mashallah you have 200k plus. May Allah grant you long life brother Paul. keeps up the amazing contents. A true Sensation to have you in are ummah.
1) State ownership: Administraive buildings, corresponding tools, armament, comquered land that hasn't been distributed and revived. 2) Public ownership: Everything on which the public relies heavily on like water (also lake, rivers), pasture, fire (also oil, electricity, gas), gold-, silver-, copper deposits, main roads. 3) Private ownership: cars, cattle, ushr soil, kharaj soil that has been revived, etc.
Thank you Paul for this amazing content. There is a guest you can invite, his name is Anice Lajnef. He's an ex banking trader who have a deep comprehension of the banking system and the atrocities of an interest based economy. He also provide a solution to wealth redistribution trought zakat. He is in london also. Thank you a lot for your efforts, may Allah bless you
Brother paul may Allah bless you for surely you and your chanel are an answer from Allah to all the prayers of the ummah whenever they thought wistfully of the grand library of baghdad and its abundant scholars and their discourse on fiq, hadees and other subjects for Allah has returned to the ummah a part of that glrious past in you and your chanel and the guests that you host may he grant you a great reward.❤
Salaam Alikoum for both of you, thank you for this Excellent video Highly educational And full of knowledge Can Be applicable at all times, past, present and future.
This is one of the most fascinating intellectual discussion I’ve seen on Muslim civilization that hasn’t been eroded by contemporary politics. Very impressive!
Islamic zakat is taxes mainly on wealth not income. And that's very good for people starting a new family. And also very beneficial for the economy because the rich will invest and give loans instead of hoarding money.
Yep and it forces companies to actually invest with risk and benefit. Nowadays companies can get loans and riba based equity which can either destroy a bank ir the company itself
Thank you so much brothers for this very interesting Topic... I have started being interested in Islamic economics since 1990...while I was studying economics in Morocco...
Salaam Alaikum, Br Paul and Br.Jamaal . I thank God for giving us wise, knowledgeable , dedicated and confident workers of God , in the two of you. . Thank you and thank you . I hope the contents of this channel are being preserved in some other forms too , like audio book etc . Specially this lecture . We want to build a society …… what a visionary statement . May Allah help us every Muslim and non Muslim build that Eldorado here . Ameen
This is religion/human top level summary course! It must see the light to be applied in real life.. thanks for the efforts to bring it to the show.. praise be to Allah for allowing all this to happen..
Finally! I feel that Blogging Theology has ignored this topic for a while and should focus a lot more on it. It is unfortunately or fortunately the case that economic control is the primary means to enforce ideology and unless we as Muslims find a way out of the economic conundrum that we find ourselves in and get back to the Islamic Economic system, we will not be able to break past the shackles of the last 250 years of oppression and humiliation. I hope this is a beginning from Paul and a glimpse of what more is to come with regards to the ocean of knowledge that is within how Islamic Economic principles work. Love your work and praying for your good work to continue beyond your lifetime, Inshallah!
Talking of breaking shackles... it's going to be quite the challenge to find the enourmous amount of slaves that the islamic economy so heavily relied on to function for 1200 years. Getting spoils of war and occupying areas and suppressing their populations is also easier said than done nowadays. But yeah, good luck.
@@grnzrn spoken like a true ignorant. Only slavery allowed in islam is towards Allah. And the Khalifa is just as much a slave as the prisoner of war. Maybe you should go and learn the history of the crusades to grow out of your amnesia. You will find out how Muslims liberated human beings while Christians persecuted and slaughtered the And even worst will be if you are atheist. Your history is championed by Stalin and Mao. I guess they did not even bother counting.
I wish our 66 Australian millionaires who successfully didn't pay their tax and legally "proved" they didn't make any profit at all (ha-ha-ha!!!) listened to this amazing presentation of how to deal with the wealth and what are the consequences of not sharing it in afterlife.... Dzhazak Allahu Khayr, Brother Paul, for bringing up this acute topic! May Allah SWT bless you and your guest in both worlds!
Beautiful lecture and a very educated guest. I'm busy with further studies in Islamic Finance myself and this was very helpful. May Allah continue to bless you and allow you to continue to diligently serve the ummah as you have been, Ameen ❤❤
Great video and enjoyed this. Thank you. 1. I remembered posting request for you to discuss about Islamic Banking in one of the older videos. Thank you for posting this. 2. Regarding IMF at around 55:00, I remembered my country (and Prime Minister at that time) was heavily criticised and predicted to become a bankrupt country when we refused to take IMF loan during the Asian Economy Crisis in 1997/1998. We manage to go out of the crisis sooner than countries which agreed to receive loans from IMF.
Is that Malaysia and blessed and beloved Dr Mahathir you are talking about . Soros destroyed many countries but , but Dr. M.Mahathir did not allow him to destroy Malaysia .
So riveting! So clear in thought! Fantastic guest. Would love to discover more of his work. Blogging Theology - the gift that keeps on giving! JazakAllah khair brother Paul.
Thank you very much. Definitely in my watchlist. As an economics student, I've been looking for introductory resources about Islamic Economics. Nothing much out there, though. I'm sure that this is a great content since it is brought us by distinguished BT quality 🙂
It would be good, if we can get brother Jamal again, and give a example of how the economics would work in a real country if that country became a Khilafah, with the enemies using their institutions to undermine us economically. So we can be confident that the khilafah can run in the modern day
Islam came integrated in all religious, social, financial and family aspects, as well as psychological, physical and spiritual, and the most important thing it brought is humanity’s relationship with God. It is really a great religion. Thank you brother for your great effort, may God put it in the balance of your good deeds
So excited to listen to this topic! Have always wanted to explore this area as it is underestimated and undervalued. I have no doubt that an islamic framework would alleviate all our economic issues at the moment, in the UK and worldwide
Jzkhairan brother Jamal for this explicit explanation of Islamic finance. Any wonder that Islam is "the enemy" against which all isms, current and historical, have warred and resisted as a system! The abundant verses from the Quran presented by brother Jamal make clear that greed for more, for money requires the greatest jihad from mankind.
Brother Jamal great presentation. May Allah t reward you and brother Paul greatly. Ameen. You forgot the rikaz, which is a fifth of the buried treasure or small metal vein that needs to be payed to the baitulmaal.
Thanks Paul, i follow you for theology, but you also cover political, economy and social aspects of islam Which is what islam is, I greatly appreciate and benefit from this video Keep on covering these kind of aspects of islam
