You and Cari crossing over in SEOUL was so wonderful to witness! Also, it's so incredible seeing you name your anxiety and overwhelm and then still showing up to speak to a camera in public! Amazing! Thank you for this snippet into your life!
fellow 20-something year old here - living alone, feeling lonely, feeling so many things sometimes. this is so beautiful. the way you film and storytell is inspiring - especially as a new creator (just started 2 months ago). keep it up!!
Evelyn is a Diamond in all of this RU-vid. I can’t explain and out enough in words how cute she is and how incredible are her skills as a videomaker. Waiting for your next adventure!
This video feels like it's in world in-between a vlog and a short film. Does not come across as scripted but feels very well planned. You have offered a great viewing experience!
thank you!! That means a lot. I tried planning out what I wanted to say in my head instead of scripting for this one, and your comment just validated that this approach works! Thanks so much:)
It’s so courageous of you to go to Seoul/a country where you don’t speak the language alone! Good for you. I went to South Korea almost 5 years ago now with someone and I didn’t know the language (besides “hi” & “thank you”), and even though I had a companion with me, I still experienced culture shock and overwhelm at moments to, even though I loved it there overall and wanna go back someday. 🤍 safe travels ✈️
i didn’t realize “traveling to a new country alone w/o speaking the language” was what I was doing, until I got to the incheon airport, realized my SIM card wasn’t working, and had no idea what was going on around me😂 but it was such a cool experience that gave me lots of new perspectives. I would love to go back someday too!
Reading books where they are set is such a magical experience ✨️ I admire you for traveling alone, solo traveling is sth that makes me nervous. The "what am I doing with my life" is a very relatable question...I think a lot of us ask ourselves this 😅 a lovely vlog 💌
Watching your travel vlogs is like mini therapy for me - I hope I can travel soon as well, but I can't afford to at the moment. It's so nice seeing you explore Seoul in peace and props to you for acknowoledging when being in tourist mode is too much. 🥰 Also the food there looks so yummy!
Hope you get to travel soon!!! One of my big goals before leaving Asia is to travel around here more b/c traveling within Asia is still relatively cheap. excited to bring you along on more of these trips!
OH MY GOD MY TAPIOCAPRESS WAS MEETING WITH CARICAKEZ?!???? MY ANPTHER LOVELY RU-vidRS HEREEEE... im bawling my eyes out guys... its so lovely seeing you two together and ACTUALLY KNEW EACH OTHER😢🤍
I can’t believe this too!!! I’ve followed Cari for so long, and ahh she’s such a lovely person. I’m forever grateful to RU-vid for bringing these internet friendships to real life❤️
I have recently been feeling stressed and depressed about my career and my life. Your videos are just so comforting and therapeutic. Thanks, Evelyn. You are the most adorable girl on ytb. Your sweet personality and your intelligence just deserve millions and billions of followers. ❤
that part where you said too much social anxiety was funny 😂. I would have been uncomfortable too if I was in the middle of two people having a conversation. That was rude of them. They could have asked you to switch seats instead of talking over you. Despite any awkward moment, I hope you enjoyed your trip.
hahaha in fairness they were quite friendly! Just an unfortunate social situation😂 unintentionally stepped out of my comfort zone there, but it felt kinda good after! Like “wow, I did that?!”
You and your entire channel is such a comfort to me, I absolutely adore this 🥰 (and the little Seoul walking tour as someone who’d like to visit someday)
IM SO LATE!!!! as always thank u so much for posting, ur videos are my reward for myself whenever I get enough work done hahaahh ❤❤ sending u all the love!!

Hi Evelyn, amazing video as always! I am so happy that you are rising so quickly, I discovered you recently, and now, you already have so many followers, so congratulations. Right now, I am at home after surgery and your videos make me feel like life is waiting for me and I just need to be calm and patient. So thank you for giving me this hope 😀Cheers!
thank you🫶 stay true definitely made an impact on me because I feel like I’m somewhere between Ken and Hua, having worked in tech and later encountered indie culture…I’m still on a journey to find who I am and stay true to her. Will keep this book close to my heart
Thanx for the nice vlog. And dont feel bad about not doing some things alone. You all ready doing do much stuff i wish i could do one day,(with enough courage😅). Just keep being you😊
what in the crossover episode is this !! you and cari in the same video is a big fat yes. loved this vlog, thank you for sharing your trip with us (and for making me want to visit seoul even more than i already did)
It's so awesome you got to go to seoul and i get to see it through your eyes since it's been on my places to go forever orz but wow it's got soooo many cute lil places and cafes and just love love love. i hope you enjoyed your time there. it seems like you had a good time even if you sound like you got sick?
Really enjoyed watching every new video you posted and follow up your updates.. somehow it gives me a feeling of security and peace, also a bit more courage to see a familiar girl I share lots of similarities with embrace her days with warm and free heart, make brave decisions and keep going. (a little shy love message to my first favourite youtuber 💛
thanks for sharing your trip to seoul! definitely feel the sentiment of trying to do some soul searching by traveling and learning from others' ways of life :)
I’m so glad!!! It was a very inspiring experience to go to a new country alone without speaking the language…grateful to have been able to do it and share the experience with you✨
I loved this I wish I knew you were in Seoul in January and had met up in person! That would have been so cool :o Just found your channel recently and I support you Evelyn
Glad you enjoyed Seoul Evelyn! Since I left it's gotten colder than Canada sometimes lol. Microwave part was hilarious! Loved seeing you roam about and the food you ate, thanks for the tour :)
didn't get to try mija seoul when i went or the string cheese. let this be in my 2024 bucket list. also props to you for wearing a skirt in the winter cause i could never
There are so many Korean convenience store videos and they are so fun to watch haha…and I did wear uniqlo heattech underneath the skirt🤫 it was so cold!!!!
Lovely vlog as always! Exciting to see you in Seoul as I’m heading there at the end of the month. Where did you stay? I’m trying to decide on the best area/accommodation options 😊
Love your vlogs girl, I'm in a similar space and I just quit my job with nothing but a vague direction towards where I'm going... Seeing your vlogs makes me feel understood and reminds me that there are people who are in a similar headspace. Thanks for being vulnerable! Also can you tell me what mic you're using in the last clip?
Omg two of my fav RU-vidrs in one video 😍 also love your courage that firstly you survived the Seoul winter 😂 I lived there before the weather wasn’t humane…and secondly for travelling to a new country without knowing the language:) the coffee and food look so good! Btw how did you manage to keep your white scarf safe from tteokbokki sauce? Haha. Anyway hope you recover (your throat) soon:) and good luck with your future Berlin journey ❤
I stumbled over your vlog with this episode and i like it a lot! Watching other episodes ever since. Keep your journey going! If you planning to go to Europe, Berlin is a interesting City but consider maybe others too ( and i say that as a German). Its also not cheap anymore and getting a flat can be a nightmare. I dont say this to discourage you - if its your dream city, go for it. Lisboa for example has a vibrant multicultural asian, african and south american cultural and food scene (think about Macau, there is a strong link). Madrid, Valencia, Brussels just to name some other interesting Alternatives which I personally know and enjoy.
thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! So many people have asked “why Berlin”, and to be honest I don’t have “the right answer” to that question. I went from not sure if I want to go there, to “this makes logical sense” to now “wow I’m excited to go”…so the idea of Berlin for me is to try it out, hoping I would like it and settle down there, but if not, I would love to try Lisbon or Barcelona and find another home in Europe✨
I’m staying in Korea in Fall and had the same thoughts because of the non-English speaking community there and I’m struggling to learn Korean but I just started in January. I live in Hamburg so next to you neighbour 😂 and please that tteokbokki looked amazing. You did great 😊
谢谢🫶 I always, always feel very emotional about moving because I have lost my home once during the pandemic, and it’s something I always long for. But, I’m entering into a period of my life where I need to be brave, try out different cities, and find a place to call home. Grateful to have you along the journey - makes it way less scary, and it’s my honor and privilege to find a sense of belonging in this community❤️
Hi I would like to know why Berlin? Maybe have you considered other countries in Europe? Amsterdam it’s very international and everyone speaks English without problem and super friendly Dutchies In Berlin people are more serious and not friendly at all. I’m just curious why Berlin?
Amsterdam is more expensive, people are equally as friendly/unfriendly - seriously, the dutch are not exactly the pinnacle of warmth and hospitality either. And these days Berlin is definitely the more hip, international place for culture minded people.
There’s more to come!!! I’ve been moving around so much lately I feel like I own you guys a life update🙈 I’ll be (mostly) in China for a few more months!
When are you planning to move to Berlin? I'm from here (but moving to Vancouver in September) so of you ever have questions or needs some inspo, let me know! I make videos too and I love to give advice =)
