Hey Evelyn, have you checked out the housing situation in Berlin? Are you planning on renting a short term rental? Everything else will be very hard to get without being a student or proof of income . I dont want to discourage you but simply recommending to plan accordingly. My partner and I didnt want to subject ourself relying on that housing market after getting degrees and seeing the struggles even german native high earners ave. (I am a german native myself).So we moved beyond the city boarders, luckily, half a year before the war startet. Edit: If you know people who got their non-shortterrm or student-apartment in Berlin "easily", check the date. If the contract was signed even a few years ago, the situation is not comparable. Also, for people watching this: its usually not possible to change a travel visa into a working visa (="Aufententhaltstitel") eg you would have to leave and apply for the working visa from china at the german embassy. So its important to keep that in mind while planning.And a self-employment visa might have other hurdles. But I am sure you have done your research! Just mentionaing these because I have a non-european partner and dealing with the Ausländerbehörde a lot :-)

I struggle a lot with the voice of my inner critic and letting it hold me back and recently made a video about it (overcoming the fear of being seen) on my channel. I am just starting my RU-vid journey and have already re-shot videos to give myself "more choices" instead of keeping the first take. I am aware of this and leaning towards doing it once and moving forward, as that's the best way to progress (and less time choosing from virtually the same thing, lol.)
