A few subtle sound design tricks using the DPO.
- mixing a thinned out Shape waveform with the Sine wave for buzzy sounds with fundamental (different from spiked triangle)
- using SYNC to keep the Mod Bus Growl sounding even and in-tune for heavy sounds
- circular FM at low frequencies as a chaotic modulation source

Proof again that the DPO is one of the most expansive VCO's out there. I love mine!! It constantly surprises me!

That first tip is gonna leave me in drone heaven. The last tip is gonna result in a very long but ultimately unproductive and extremely enjoyable sit down. The second tip has always been a constant in my DPO endeavours and I too prefer the modulator at a lower frequency 😘

Excellent! DPO is such a wild powerful complex oscillator. It is quite bold in comparison to the tame Rossum Trident oscillator.

God, this module is such a beast. Mine arrived a couple days ago, and I swapped my STO out of my skiff , popped the DPO in, and just wow....absolutely incredible VCO

very cool. you guys have got to do a waveshaper module! the ones you guys do in the DPO and 0-coast sound so good and it would be awesome to have the option to get that separate.

Syncing oscillator A and using it for mod is right in the sweet spot of CONSTANT SHALLOWNESS LEADS TO EVIL territory!

Nice one again. Not having the DPO I have been trying all of those with my Verbos Complex Oscillator and even tho it doesn't sound the same at all and require way more patching, the results have been very interresting.

How many times have I re-watched this to recall the specifics of this or that example and I am *still* not okay with how it cuts off at 4:52 just as new sonic territory is being revealed? The answer, friend, would surprise and horrify you - as it does me. As it does me.

Great video again Mr. Walker! Just one question, Is it possible to send kind of a reset (sync) to the two VCOs of the DPO from a external source? Cause with that it would be possible to put the random grooves which are shown at the end of the video into sync.

Might be worth trying the X-Lock input - it would be a soft-sync, and hard to hear anyway because of the unpredictability of feedback.
