I've never really gotten the chance to play with Kurzweil synths before. Sounds like a nice blend of Korg brilliance and Roland sensibility. I like it. That would have been quite the synth in 1995.
I have one of these with every ROM installed thanks to an old guitarist pal who died and insisted I have it at a reduced rate in his words to his wife. A good friend also. I never tried playing any of these sounds because I can't get away from the Piano sound. The bloody Kurzweil Piano sound!! OMG.
FUN FACT: This keyboard was also used by producer Johnny ''J'', who did the majority of Tupac Shakur's music whilst he was on Death Row Records in 95/96.
Congrats, Marshal! Yes, the K2000 used to be one of my main synths in the '90s.... then I upgraded to the 2500 later! They have a beautiful sound for sure. Now sold all of them, although I still have the "aircraft carrier" K250 in the storage room!
Sounds like a ground loop, I had that problem, solved it by connecting the synth, computer, and monitor speakers to a Furman power conditioner, no more hum.

Hi, I’m having issues with my K2500. It keeps transposing a half step up without me touching the pitch wheel or anything. What can I do?? Can you help me, please?
I'm still trying to work out what the whole kurzweil VAST system etc is all about.. Have trouble finding a video that demonstrates the main strengths and approach.

Sounds really fantastic. Would you recommend it for some guitar/bass player who wants to have a good keyboard for jams at home but who doesnt understand nothing about synth programing. I happen to have a nice bargain near me for 300 bucks, but I wanna know if nice classic sounds are readily available in that one (e.g. pianos, Hammond, Rhodes, organs, Vox sounds, etc..) and if it is easy to use. Thank you for your time.
I have hundreds of audio demos of the K2500X: www.synthmania.com/K2500X.htm For me it's easy to use and program, but if you're new to synths you can easily dial up the programmed patches
Has this got any guitar sounds at all? I am looking at buying one of these or the later model, its got nice pianos and pads etc, but i never heard any guitar paths like what roland etc have.

@@SynthManiaDotCom aaah I see you've posted a similar reply 8 years ago. I'm a bit late to the party. But Kurzweils are great btw. The older, the better though. I would kill for a K250 ;).
They actually don't have noise, they were high quality boards. In this video, "my audio interface broke, and I had to use the computer's internal soundcard, hence the noise"
@@mwarsell I've had a couple of K2000 too, and 2500 both keyboard and rack... none of them has it... maybe a problem with the ad/da converters on yours?
