Hi there again, its been 5 months since my last video so come with me on a journey and I'll tell you where I have been and some new ideas for future videos.
I can't tell you how happy I am to see this video today. I have often thought about the backyard pub and kind of missed it. I think I will go back and watch some old light painting videos of yours for old times. I really hope that you and the family are well!

Fun, travel and adventure! This is what living is all about. I adore how you are able to travel inexpensively by plane and rail in Europe. We don't have that convenience in the US. Our rail travel is just as expensive as a regular plane ticket. You and your wife look very happy. I look forward to more videos and adventures of all styles. Thank you for bringing us along.
Enjoy. As a teenager in the 90's, I used to fly off last minute when the flights were cheaper the later you booked them! Got a flight, then worried about a hotel when I got there! A couple of months ago I booked a holiday to the Canaries, flying this Christmas Eve. Most of it on the credit card I don't usually use 🙂It's nice to see the kids enjoying themselves in the pool and sun instead of greyness and drizzle 🙂
I cant believe we missed this one, it was a brilliant explanation and so interesting we had to watch it twice, here we are in the Pacific North West stuck in our home for the last four days because its too cold to go out and there is no point as we have enough food, so we cuddled up and watched a few of your video's, we are expats your age who hope to return some day, its amazing the prices you pay for travel, over here you cant get on a bus for what you pay to fly, I realise these are deals you search for. I love the day out idea, we could expand that to two or three and get a feel for places, Spain Ireland etc. Cant wait to see the 208 micro camper, those are such stylish little cars, Luv Um. I'm at that age were I need to retire and enjoy life before its too difficult, so time is important. Take Care Patrick your an inspiration.
Hi there yes a luck back at some of the places I have visited this year, I was astounded at how cheap some flights are, when you compare it to other forms of travel, real bargains . The micro camper was a great project and really looking forward to sharing it......all the best Pat

I have my private pilot test in a couple of weeks. If you want to go up for a flight next year give me a shout. I fly out of Sherburn in Elmet so not too far away. I've enjoyed all your videos, it would be a pleasure to take you to see some of your favourite spots from the sky.
Merry Christmas Patrick. I can totally understand your compulsion to travel and explore. When I lived in the UK for a few years, I spent nearly every weekend on the train heading out from the Midlands to Bristol Gloucester, Bath, Edinburgh etc. On long 12 hour trips I checked out all the local architecture, history and museums fantastic. Everyone at work thought I was mad. Keep it up.

I did that for quite awhile, (when I was "on the road", not my car though-now ex girlfriends) less camping, more just sleeping in a car really 😅 Looking forward to seeing your micro-camper and the adventures you have with it. The bit where you say "I had coffee and cake, then realised I was leaving a puddle of water around me, so I moved, and had coffee and cake again" I literally laughed out loud 😆 Absolutely brilliant Pat. Welcome back, I used a Stena ferry to the Netherlands this year, after getting my first ever passport at 40 years old, I have a lot catching up in ticking off countries to visit. Your 100% correct when you describe the travelling is as important as the destination. My objective in 2024 is to be a 'traveller not a tourist'. Looking forward to more of your videos in 2024.

"Hi There" I totally read that in your voice and funnily enough yesterday we had a trip to Sheffield and I thought imagine if we bumped into Patrick of course didn't but then got home to find you had uploaded a nice long video, glad to see you doing well and a busy summer of adventures. Did almost 2 weeks at the end of September Lake Garda and had a day on the train to Verona then another day trip to Venice amazing how much cheaper the railways are in Italy.

Welcome back Pat. This channel should be recommend to people getting on in life, worrying about what they'll do after retirement, or retired and struggling with sense of worth. Pat has such a varied array of interested and is making most of retirement. Makes me look forward to it and the freedoms it could offer.
Splendid memories, Patrick, and thank you for sharing… I concur; the best part is the journey! We used to stealth camp in the back of a Volvo, 240 estate - very warm and comfortable.

Have just bought an astronomical telescope which will give a lot of pleasure I think. I could watch you talk about anything though, to be fair. You have a great manner. I've watched this through the night as struggling w sleep. It's perfect for that. Interesting, pleasant, no loud noises or flashing lights. Watch a bit, fall asleep, wake up, rewind, repeat. Let's get pissed with Patrick is back! If you have never been to Belfast then I'd recommend one of the open top bus tours. Very informative and you can hop on and off. Great way to see a great city.
