Thanks for posting and the walkthrough. Hopefully they will add the account information to the app so you can check it daily or before disembarking. My first Princess Cruise is next year and I’m looking forward to it. I was glad to see that the information from the previous app carried over and I also found some new information to add.
Thank you so much for watching! Our theory is that the account information will show up once you are on the ship. We also cannot see our account information on the "old" app for future cruises. However, from experience, we have seen it during our past cruises. Once on the ship, you can also see your account information on your stateroom TV. I hope you have a wonderful cruise with Princess.

You two always have great information and you present it in a logical, clear way which I really appreciate. I have to say I like the new app and think it's definitely an improvement on the old one. There are a few bugs, as I had a lot of trouble logging in too, but since it's new there's bound to be some hiccups at launch. Great video, keep up the good work!

We will be on that cruise out of Galveston with you. Thanks for the tip on the "Heart" being the way to open the list of ALL the reservations that you pick. I hadnt figured that out yet and used that suggestion. Agreed that the app is efficient way to check all the options/reservations to insure your all ready to sail. Lets see how that green lane is at Galveston ( I hear they are adding another terminal in that ports future ). With the availability of Dock slots I see even more Princess cruises in our future.
Thank you so much for writing. Please feel free to say hello to us while on the cruise. We have had very efficient experiences sailing with Princess out of Galveston. Last year we sailed Princess out of Galveston two times, and we were able to board the Ruby Princess ship in Galveston in about 10 minutes each time. The first time we were both in the green lane, and the second time one of us was in the blue lane because we did not have the medallion (long story). Love your analysis of the new app. In addition to the account review it would help if the onboard credit would populate so it could be used without being charged up front.

Thanks for this video! I downloaded the new app yesterday and was looking around on it. I actually called Princess, because I thought that check mark in the green circle meant I was in the green lane but wanted to make sure. I like that all my info transferred over from the "old" app, especially since I booked all in our travel party (10 of us) for dining and that can't be done just yet in the new app. One other thing that is happening with me is I cannot log in with my username and password. The app keeps saying error, not correct, whatever it is saying so I had to login in with my booking number. I think this is why I didn't have any trouble of getting kicked out of the app like other did. Your video showed me some areas that I missed looking at, so I thank you for that as well!!!
Hi - We hope so. We have an update video dropping on Friday about the changes in the app within a week of closing, but Locate Shipmates isn't there. We will look when we are onboard next week. Happy cruising!
Great presentation! I just added the new app. It does not show any of my cruises prior to 2019. Also does not show my status which should be elite. Called Princess and they were nice just not helpful. Oh well........
Thank you for your comment. The app will only show medallion class cruises. I can my others in the webpage when I log in. Princess has always got my status correct even if it didn’t show elite on the app. We have several other videos about the app on our channel that may be useful. Just be careful with the advice that the green tick on the ready to sail means you’re in the green lane. Currently the medallion is only delivered to your home prior to departure if you’re in the USA or Canada, I’m in Australia so I have to collect the medallion at the port. I have a green tick on the ready to sail but I will have to go to the blue lane.

I like this format. It is easy to use. I am looking forward to using it in February. I appreciate the effort you took to explain the new and Improved Princess app. I really hate to put this out there however I do believe they will most likely raise the cost of the plans. It (Plus) had started at $40 a day and now is $60 a day in the last 4 years. Yes! Love the crew chat option for issues. Used it several times with immediate response with issues resolved. I am sure that those changes that you suggested will most likely happen by the end of January 2024. Thank you for sharing!!

I am not sure that I understand your request. If you are in the blue lane, you have not supplied all your information in the app or ordered your medallion. The green check indicates you have provided all the app information. About 11 days before you cruise, a boarding pass which shows if you are in the green lane. I hope this helps. Happy Cruising!

We leave on our cruise Tuesday... the app still does not have either 1) Shipboard Account or 2) Find my People/Hubs/kids/friends/party..... is that something that magically appears once onboard?

This Princess app just doesn't work and the excuse that there is a glich in their system is getting tiresome.. Their packages are a bit confusing; "included" usually means you're not going to get charged for what is included. I got the Premier Package and was still charged for the 2 specialty dinings. Not to worry though, I was told I would be reimbursed in 7 to 10 working days, that was three weeks ago. As this is my first cruise with them I'm getting a little apprehensive. I've called numerous times and management seems to be as illusive as corrective solutions.

It is unfortunate that you have not gotten your refund. We have found an error in the past (when the app was first released) and when we called guest services aboard the ship, they quickly corrected the issue. Recently we were owed a refund post cruise and it took several weeks for Princess to mail us a check. (We were surprised it was not a simple refund to our credit card.). For the most part, we have had terrific service from Princess. I hope your refund runs smoothly, and you have many terrific cruises in your future.
We have a check mark that says all set, but our check mark is black not green. I have completed everything so I'm not sure why it's not green...🤔😕When I click on the all set tab it takes me to the next page which has both our names with a black check that says, Ready to Sail 🤷

In mine, I either have a check or no check so perhaps its a color issue rendering on your phone? I also only get the "ready to sail" when all the sub-checks are green. Hope this helps. I suspect that you are okay because I am pretty certain both versions of the app are pulling data from the same database. If you are Green Lane in the old then you should be in the new. Please let us know what Princess says.
Dining is still jacked up. Can’t purchase a dining reservation and I’m well under 90 days from the day I want to do the dining let alone my cruise date. And yes, I am Green so boo on Princess for this fail yet again
Thank you for sharing this information. We have a large group so we cannot use the app for dining reservations. It sounds like using the old app or booking with the computer are the options presently available. Princess has issued one update already, hopefully next update will solve these problems. @@ACruisingGoodTime interesting. We are with a group as well but am able to book main dining just fine. For some reason the old app won’t let me do it either. We are doing a back to back and the cruise is tied together in the app so I would think it wouldn’t be a problem. I find it odd that main dining I don’t have a problem booking but on specialty dining I get an error that reads; DIN-RN16 : Unclassified exception - ‘500 No POLAR room number found location 1512 and ship code XP’. It shows our room number in the app under our profile so not sure what is wrong with it.
This is interesting. It sounds like an API error calling on the Princess database. I assume both apps are pulling from the same database. Perhaps they are doing some database revisions for the new app. Hopefully they get it sorted out before your cruise!

Thank you for watching and your comment. We used the term drop because drop is the term used in the software industry when an app is made available for download. Software drops are always planned and sometimes delayed as in this case where the app was delayed about a month.
