Awesome video! Longtime watcher, first time commenter here. Polypropylene is an awesome material for flexible applications, but the other huge part of designing something that is flexible in the right ways and rigid where necessary is the geometry. If you know how the frame is most likely going to be loaded during a crash, then you can adjust the geometry and get all the behavior you're looking for, even with materials that might not seem flexible at first. There are examples of metal devices that are designed to be flexible. Some great resources are the video "Machines That Bend Are Better" by Veritasium and the books "Compliant Mechanisms" and "Handbook of Compliant Mechanisms" by Howell. I'm currently taking a university course from Howell and it's really good stuff. Edit: Apparently I haven't watched quite enough of your videos, because I just got recommended your 3D printed compliant vectoring mechanism video. So you're definitely aware of the resources I mentioned. *Facepalm*

Also those signature quotes, "I know I look like a PRO, but don't be dis-encouraged, if you can't crash like this, it take years of training" "A taste of impact strength" "Our chances are slim, hmm non existent".
