I was hooked the first time I heard "I Ran" (so far away). I have all their recorded work and everything is unique and fantastic. They have gone on to become one of the iconic bands of the 80's.

Michael - More of the women looked good back then, but we did still have some fat dogs back then. I have noticed today though, more of them are fatter and don't look as good. When they started putting growth hormones in milk cows I started noticing people getting fatter. I think they also feed growth hormones to chickens that we eat. As you know when a person gets fat, it distorts their looks.
Michael are you serious? Girls in the 80's wore sweat shirts all the time. Pretty boring if I remember it correctly. I graduated in 1987 and was much more impressed with girls and what they work from 2000-2007!
Music in the 80,s was The greatest we didn't realize at the time how good it was, until we heard the music of today. Something's been lost in the new era of music. I hope we get it back soon.

I met this girl about 6 years ago and she liked me because I was a dj and played at a club where I could play a lot of 80s music and I NEVER ASKED HER OUT. I wanted to tell her everytime I saw her this song played in my head because she was dancing to it while i was djing. She eventually got in a relationship and posted a video of her and her boyfriend with this song playing over it and it was SUCH A GUT PUNCH!!!!!! 😩😩😩😩

As well as the awesome music, especially Paul Reynolds unique guitar sound, I find the fact that this totally ethereal and magic love song came out of an 80’s Liverpool that was ravaged by unemployment from punitive government policy, unrest, violence and drugs ravaging the suburbs really special as well. Like this was their dream away from the reality in the north of England at the time.
