So many people hating on this kid, or at least underwhelmed. Ha! I bet he did more with his musical career by 16 than anyone leaving negative, critical poo-poo comments will do in their entire lifetime. The dude's already more of a legend than any of us will ever be! 🤘
GREAT JOB ALL...THANX 4 MAKING Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO the music worldwide. LOVE YOU ALL...!!!....MUCH LOVE.!! and ooo the young ones ARE THE FUTURE.!!!
YES, THANK YOU FOR POSTING, THIS KID COULD BE DOING A MILLION OTHER THINGS, BUT IF HE'S THIS GOOD SO YOUNG, HE'S GOING TO BE JUST FINE, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
Talent isn't real. Most people never learn how to practice and never find a good mentor. Anyone can be great in music. Talent excuses is just a way to lessin the blow to the ego when people realize they can't even work as hard as a 10 year old boy. This boy worked for his glory. He wasn't born with it. His family nurtured these skills. A positive upbringing and a large support network impact people more then anything.
Lmao My dad's 76 and I'm 56 and we both just started playing. I have decided I do not like kids anymore . Seeing 5 and 6 year olds shredding makes me feel like playing wack a mole lol My fingers can't make chord shapes but non the less I keep at it everyday. I'm enjoying the process and it keeps me occupied.
Don't ever think that you should quit because someone else shreds. Learn what you can as you can and improve what YOU have and can do and have FUN above all
What a wonderful talent. Fantastic guitar playing and a pleasure to listen to. I really enjoyed the video. Thank you for posting it for others to share.
To the host; been a long time since I had some uncut “MindBlow”. Just randomly happened past your post n decided to drop in👍🏿. Kid has the accuracy of a thoroughly schooled technician, mixed with the melodic touch powered solely through his spiritual engine.
Kids or young guys like him (referring as well to M. Mancuso and so many) must be appreciate in reference of your feeling. There's no goat or king in music, just guys who make you feel very good. That's my thought !
Day am. Gary moore type licks! WOW! just a little different approach.. but definitely someone to watch to make you wanna sell your gear and give it up. how can you do that at so young? hat is off, well done.
Anybody gotta handle on that picking technique that the kid is using ? It's the same technique that Eric Johnson, Eric Gales, Joe Bonamassa and KingFish is using.. It's vicious and devastating because they're doing it lightening fast precise and tasteful all at the same time ! Straight crazy !
Slant picking with great left hand muting + rakes. He strokes through treble and/or bass with both left/right hand muting. I see more Prince in his picking than others.
@@johnnolcox8768 He's way cleaner and tasteful with the speed stuff than Prince .. Prince is more tasteful and similar to David Gilmour as far as slowing down and making every note count .. Never liked Prince's solos when he played fast, - he was a showman but straight guitar playing I think Eric Gales, Kingfish, Bonamassa and even this kid would clean his clock .. There's a whole wave of young music prodigies like Andreas Varaday, Matteo Mancuso, Joshua Meader, Tom Quayle, Kingfish and this kid that's on another level..
@@johnnolcox8768 You've mastered slant picking ? cuz I'm more legato with a little bit of speed picking but I'd love to get that technique in the tool chest ! 😁
Max Ostro. He’s not just my favorite “young” guitarist, he’s my favorite “lead” guitarist of all time. Would love to see a video from you showcasing his talent. 👍
MUSIC & the "preservationists" who think they understand the creative & expressive principles of it!!! This young PHENOM Brandon Niederauer IS exactly that, regardless of cats like Eddie Van Halen coming before him!!! I AM a avid Eddie Van Halen fan; HOWEVER, if Eddie is the measuring stick for six string virtuosity, then this suggest that "Rock" guys are prejudiced & some probably even racists in their understanding of music. LOOK. I dare any of the "Rock" guitar gurus & preservationists to listen to & dissect the Classic Funk song "Slide" by 70's/80's R&B/Funk band Slave. In the song, guitarist Mark Hicks does a blazing solo that Eddie V.H. & other Rock shred guitarists would have a hard time interpretating due to the R&B/Blues mode his solo is shredding in! Rock guys kill me with their musical "imperialism", which may explain why Prince played his guitar solo the way he did with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynn, Steve Winwood & others at The Rock'N'Roll Hall Fame ceremony years ago during a tribute to Beatles' member George Harrison! When it comes down to this "Rock guitar" thing, black players & biracial players are often scrutinized heavier because of the societal construct we dwell under. When conversations strike up, Prince, Mark Hicks (Slave), Ernie Isley (The Isley Brothers), Eddie Hazel (Funkadelic), Vernon Reid (Living Colour), Jesse Johnson (Morris Day & The Time), Eric Gales, Gary Clark Jr , Christopher "Kingfish" Williams & ALL of the legendary Delta Bluesmen from Mississippi (too many to mention) are all overlooked or disregarded or even disrespected by the "Rock status quo"!!! Even Jimi Hendrix is short-changed by the "Rock elites" if his name is mentioned with his second band The Band Of Gypsys & his playing was even cleaner & more rhythmic than it was with the first band The Experience! In closing, Brandon just needs to stay the course & keep learning & musically expanding. Just the fact that he's being indirectly compared to Eddie Van Halen says sooooo much about his potential. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
@@SimonNackborn Bix Beiderbecke, Django Reinhardt, Charlie Christian and Jack Teagarden were all prodigies too, in the 1930’s. Perhaps you should expand your musical palate and study the history of modern popular music? Your version of ‘modern times’ is biased toward your experience without taking in the big picture.
How does a guitar prodigy compare to us mere mortals? I often hear with hours of practice and years anyone can play guitar decently . Does it mean that prodigies can learn it in much quicker time??????
Anyone who has same desire, and receives the same knowledge, and receives the same publicity, can do the same thing, period. If one is young, innocent, and only has a strong desire, one will not succeed. Life isn't fair. We don't have equal opportunity to compete. EVERYTHING was handed to this kid on gold platter.
6:47 i love this kind of shifts or changes ( i don't konw what they're called) they seem so simple yet powerful! can anynoe provide some info about them
Yeah because all Black people exactly like the same 10-15 idiots you see promoted in the media. Kids like this are on every corner down here in the Delta. But in your tiny mind they don't exist.
The most impressive young player on the planet right now is taj ferrant he’s not only got the chops but his soul is what makes his delivery a cut above the rest
Its a great start, but you gotta pay your dues first. Kids got talented no question, but im not hearing any pain, Im hearing technique and its 2 completely different beasts. Lets see where he is in about 15 years when he moves out of his moms house.
He's very good but I personally don't like the style of his playing. And I've never liked Eric Gayles style! But that's just my thoughts and is not taking anything away from how good they are.
Really? That is a very bold and stupid statement around seasoned musicians with decades of experience. I absolutely hated his take on this song and also what he did on Little Wing which was a train wreck performance in my opinion. I am a retired bass guitar player who started to learn to play lead guitar a few years ago. And I believe I have better phrasing to fit this song because of my experience as a bassist. And other people who have heard me play affirm this statement. I play Aint No Sunshine myself and in my opinion I think he needs to be more disciplined instead of trying to fly blind folded and focus a lot more hitting less notes to improve his intonation and timing. I keep my lead solos for this song very simple because often less is best and it means a whole lot more, especially on a song that is so popular and has been covered by many musicians. This kid reminds me of an elephant in a China shop crashing into everything and very rarely resolving on the correct notes and scale.
Guitar as the big thing is over. It’s sad but true. Brandon sounds like a kid who studies guitar. I see no fire or originality there but it’s awesome to someone young have any interest in real music.
If you're primarily a blue lick guy and you're not sounding as tasty as Gales or Bonamassa, you're not a prodigy. But, this guy is young as hell. It's just he isn't breathing guitar. He just has good licks.
J’ ai jamais compris le jazz…trop bizarre cette musique…..par exemple j’ adore Hendrix, Bach, et plein plein d’ autres..mais le jazz franchement trop bizarre ce truc !!
