I had a Murray that was basically the same as that unit. A little different, however, the Murray had a whole Chrome grill up front. It was a sick machine until she blew up one day. hehe.
I had a Murray version of that. It was a 16 hp twin cylinder briggs with a 42" deck. The deck was made from heavy gauge steel that weighed a ton! Mine was a burgundy color though, not that candy apple like yours. That is not the original engine though on yours
For as neglected as it seems to have been on the maintenance front, I'm amazed by how clean it was, and how well it cleaned up. Looks like a winner to me. It's been a while since I've seen an older B&S engine like that one.
Can you tell me about what year that mower is? It looks like it was well made with actual metal instead of plastic. I haven't seen a quality-built murray in a while. I can say that about bolens, troybuilt and many others. I have a bolens 1900 built around 1986, cast iron rearend solid machine.
That’s a great mower. It was the best price too! :) I looks like a well made machine. They don’t make them like that anymore. I remember seeing and using mowers like that when I was a kid. How is the Olds doing?
