I've lived on the Cape nearly my entire life. It's a wonderful place and we're always happy to see others enjoy it. Every town is different and offers its own unique charm. The beaches can vary greatly from town to town. Come back again, we'd love to show you around any time. So happy that you had a fun time. The sunsets are beautiful, but sunrises are totally underrated.
Yes indeed. I do have one question though Marie. For someone that was so shocked that American drug stores sell ice cream, you sure do enjoy it on your adventures. Have you made your peace with American pharmacies yet and enjoyed their conveniences yet? 😉 Be well and travel well. Best wishes from Nevada 😊
I'm a native Cape Codder born there and so was my Dad. We go back to the 16 hundreds to the Pilgrims who landed in Provincetown first and then went on to Plymouth. I also have a large part of my Maternal Grandmother's Family is from Nantucket. Thank you for showing this area I enjoyed it very much
OMCod❗ Marie 😁 🌅 🦀 'Catch those Sun kissed Rays , Happiness comes in Waves' It looks like the Wild untamed Beauty of the Cape has captured your Heart , as close to heaven as it gets. Such a easy going vibe , So Charming & Picturesque , not that crowded with tourists like I was expecting but rather peaceful. It's nice seeing the pretty flowers in bloom 🌹 . There Sundae 🍦 are something else , where would Summer be without one 😋 I like a lot of the ( unique ) flavors but WTHeck is with crickets & shark tooth. Your pick just simple & yummy. I'm glad the Restaurant's met up to expectations , interesting decor , I'm guessing most of them do have a nautical ⚓ theme. The Best Local 🥞 🍓 & Waffles & Cream , could be ? They deserve the FTastic Seal of Approval for best brunch 🎗️🍽️ Anytime Anywhere Always Ready 🦊 to perfectly take the quick shot 📸 that's our french fry. It must have felt like bliss to live it up on the Beach 🏖️ 👣 leaving any cares of the world behind as the 🌊 roll in. Going for 🏊 will always be a bit chilly but your soon get used to it. Ha ha your definitely easy to spot wearing NYY Baseball cap but the Sun was beating down. You could try wear a swimming cap if it's not to tight & uncomfortable but your best bet a Swim lid that like a waterproof baseball cap but dry's quickly. Watch out for those Pincers FF 🦀 it was little murky for catching Crabs , he must have sensed you meant no harm , I wonder if he'll remember your face. I saw one recently ( video) indoors opening up a packet of something & having a good feed , they usually only live for a few years but the spider Crab can live up to a century. It was impressive seeing the Birds dive bomb for some fish , how do those seagulls get so big , as much as I like most animals they can be a nuisance attacking people ( like in Elgin Scotland) & taking fish & chips or whatever they like , you showed them who's boss. Anyway the friendly 🐦 you came across in town was probably a Kingfisher , he looked just like the kookaburra from down under. You had to have some fried cod 🌮 while you were there & it goes without saying Cham Chowder a must , a delicious alternative if your not into seafood & don't forget Cannoli for dessert. Thumper 🐰 & his friends just wanted to say hello see if you had any 🥕 The Rail 🚅 Trail along the River was nice & relaxing. I like how it runs through all the 6 Cape Cod Towns & you can travel anyway you like even roller blading. When it comes to the history of the old bridges , it's interesting to learn more about the People that worked on the Railroad. There was a Hurricane back in 1938 that shattered the 104 miles line & some of the bridges were washed away. On a more Positive Note for anybody looking for somewhere to stay The Candleberry inn in Brewster is ranked the best in the country & if your looking to move there Average prices start at over $700 , 000 , Beach front property always more expensive. Save yourself a fortune & just visit during the weekends or on vacation. I'm so glad you had a Sensational Summer with New memories to treasure , yeah & that includes smoking hot Mustangs. I hope next time you lucky enough see some 🐳 or visit the harbor Seals at the Aquarium out on the rocky outcrops. Explore more of the Sand Dunes & other Towns. Another great spot to visit is white race point lighthouse on the tip of Provincetown & if you pose at Nauset lighthouse you need take bag of chips just like the famous picture. Merci beaucoup , passez une merveilleuse semaine prenez soin de vous Marie 😇 🍁 ❣️✌️
The Cape is such a great area to visit. Dennis Port and up thru Chatham is a real nice area, and less traffic to deal with. Going in June I'm sure that water temperature was probably about 65 degrees F. The seafood is amazing too, as I'm sure You found that out in your time there. Hope You went on a whale watch.😀
I know! If a Shark catches you in a Yankees cap, you're dead for sure! Oh, those Sharks can't staaaaand a Yankee's fan! Those buggers are known to sneak right up the beach and bite you when you are trying to get in your car....they're tenacious those things!
I miss the beach weather already. Thank you for bringing us back a dose of the summer weather! Looking forward to your last day in Cape Cod and in the US. Bon weekend! 🌞🌊⛱️🦀🍻✈️🌎🇺🇸
Kansas Grandpa checking in. Yup, I've been to Cape Cod. It's been a while. I moved from Mew England in 08' . This was a good video. We got to see more of you enjoying America. I remember the food in New England. And I miss the fresh sea food. Kansas has no ocean. Glad you had a good time.
You finally found Cape Cod. Nice, very pretty place. Wonderful area with loads of History. It was the first place the Pilgrims landed in America. They replaced their water from Pilgrim Springs !
Thank you for taking us along on your adventures! When I was a kid, my aunt and uncle lived in Falmouth on Cape Cod. Your video brought back a lot of memories of summer on the beach. ❤
Chatham Falmouth p town some of my favorite places….. the real cape doesn’t really begin until you get to the national sea shore… truro… race point beach great places
No better adventure than Frenchtastic Marie at the beach! What a great, fun time. I loved you and the crab. Heck, you've pet snakes!🙃 Can't wait for more of this.🏖
Marie, it's always great to see you out having an awesome time and pointing out all the wildlife, even a crab! I had to laugh at you running after the Seagulls. If you'd have actually caught one of them, what would you have done? They're not exactly like catching a chicken. 😃 Thanks for bringing us all along. Take care and Keep Smiling! 😃
Welcome to my hometown of Dennis Port Massachusetts(cape cod) Sundae school ice cream has closed for the winter we have a very small population only about 3,300 people even less in the winter but in the summer a couple thousand more for tourists season
This is one of my favorite places! Pro tip, next time stay on the bayside and walk out on the ocean floor during low tide. If you time it just right you can walk out for miles with the low tide at sunset. It is on my top ten things to due all time. Tons of ocean life in those swallow tide pools that you can walk though. The ocean floor is pristine, the water clear and during the summer it feels like bath water!
Bonjour Marie! Thanx for another great video. I don't know if we needed a replay of the seagull 💩 though ☹🤢🤮😂🤣 Also...3:57 Cape Cop? 😱😂🤣 Nice job nabbing that crabby! Hope you and your loved ones are all doing well. Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed
Cant help but smile the hole time watching your videos and when you get the chance go back to the New England and Great Lake regions in the Autumn when the trees are changing colors my favorite time of the year here in Northern Ohio.
Beautiful video. I loved every bit of your visit to Cap Cod. You are good at finding and filming the best that the Cap Cod has to offer. What a beautiful place to be. And you are good at finding the coolest animals roaming the area. And you are unafraid to explore.❤
Hello Ms. Marie, I am glad that you enjoyed trek through New England. Cape Cod is a beautiful place to visit and yeas very expensive, as you assumed. I only wished that you had breakfast at one the many good diners in CT, but still I am happy that you enjoyed your trip, and thank you for visiting Connecticut.
Really enjoyed your Cape Cod adventures. My family did a few summer trips to rent a cottage in Dennis Port. Been to Sundae School Ice cream and this fun outdoor trampoline park and go karts nearby in West Harwich. Learning to body surf at Nauset beach. Watching this really brought back some lovely childhood memories!
The area I live, Door County WI, is often called the Cape Cod of the Mid West and seeing Cape Cod in this video I can see why. There was a lot of places that reminded me of around here, no ocean though we have Lake Michigan
I'm hoping you got a chance to spend an afternoon/evening in Provincetown. A very different but fun vibe from other parts of Cape Cod. It's been a popular summer destination for LGBTQ folk for decades. So lots of great shops and restaurants and in the evening many great drag shows to choose from. Marie is French so I can't imagine she would be TOO scandalized by anything she sees there.
Many crabs can reach back under their shell and pinch your finger. It is best to hold them by their small back flipper. The further north that you go along the Atlantic, the colder the water. If you swim in the Carolinas, the water is warmer.
It looks like you went to Sea street beach in Dennisport and then Cold Storage in Dennis. You were lucky to get a fox on on camera since they move so fast.
I'm so hoping you'll be heading to the Outer Cape for the next chapter. From Chatham to Provincetown is the very best of the Cape to me. You are so right about it being expensive to live on the Cape. Even modest homes are expensive. But it so beautiful there and the Cape really casts a spell.
What a beautiful beach. That was one big ice cream cone. Looked delicious. You look so happy in all these videos I think you just need to move here to the U S. 😊😊😊😊
Ah, a new Frenchtastic Exploration video! A good way to start the day after my birthday! Keep up the adventures, Marie. You got a lot of exploring to do before you hit my age, 39!
Grew up nearby, great place for playing hooky from high school (one episode, trespassing the Kennedy Family Compound in Hyannisport, and not getting caught), yearly family beach vacations, multiple encounters with whales off Race Point, watching storms, or staging trips to the outer islands.
Love it funny watch your videos being from New England watching them going hey I've been there or hey I saw that but I never stopped to look now make me go mmm ya need to stop in there
The majority of people who live on Cape Cod don't live on water of any type and are lower middle to middle class and it is not a town city or county. it is an island it does make up the entirety of Barnstable county Massachusetts and the Cape Cod Canal is the widest man made canal in the world
As you now realize, French Toast, is a moniker for a food item and not actually a literal description. Is Cape Cop a euphemism? I hope you take the boat to Martha's Vineyard.
The eastern coast isn't as interesting to me compared to the northern part of the Pacific coastline, which is much more dramatic, rugged, big, impressive. I haven't seen the upper east, such as Maine areas, just the Jersey coast.
@@RyanWitalison I grew up in Northeast Wisconsin. In the early 1980's I was a scuba insturctor in Green Bay and spent many weekends diving up in Door County. Both for training students and for fun.
🇺🇸🇫🇷🏖🦀🦊🍦🦅⏳ A good way to end the summer - relaxed and calm. Summer time has run out and fall will fly by. For winter, head south! Also, as noted by another commenter, a New York Yankees hat in MA?
