Next time you drive over a stump or big rock, just use your backhoe to pick up the rear of the tractor and move it to the side of the obstruction. Have not done this myself (yet), but have seen it done many times. I get my 2022 1025r with loader, 60d deck and backhoe this Tuesday (yay). Had to wait two extra weeks to get it delivered to the dealer.

I had a BX 23 and after many problems I traded for a new 2015 - 1025R. Love this little tractor and after 7 years I’ve had zero problems.

Hey Frank, great video. I bought my tractor from Stanton Equipment in Windsor locks before they where bought out by United Ag and Turf. Just an FYI about the rops, I see you have a towel on the backhoe to prevent it from damaging it. I believe that the second set of holes on the rops is there to prevent the bar from hitting the backhoe in the stowed position. At least that’s what I’m assuming because that’s where I put my pins and it doesn’t hit the backhoe.
@FrankDiNardi
@FrankDiNardi 2 года назад
Hey thanks so much! Yes I keep that there so that it doesn’t Nick up or scratch the ROPS bar. I will definitely look into the second set of holes!

@@FrankDiNardi Load the tires for sure. Wheel spacers are popular. If that's not enough bolt on wheel weights. Regular pallet forks puts the weight closer to the pin so you can lift more. Great job on the video looks like fun.

@@FrankDiNardi dude that rops needs to be up if you feel tippy especially. oh, I see it up later in the video

Hey Frank, I’ve been researching this tractor and finally ordered it last week. No loader, as I have a 55 hp New Holland that has a loader for doing heavier work. Just got it with the 60” mower deck as I have about 4 acres to mow. Really enjoying your videos. You’re so excited about your tractor. Just refreshing to see that!
@FrankDiNardi
@FrankDiNardi 2 года назад
Hey Steve thanks so much for the comment, congratulations you are going to freaking love the thing! If I had more grass to mow I would definitely get the mower deck someday!

One of the first things i did when i got .y JD 1025r was fill the tires, both front and back. I picked up 16 cases of -45 c washer fluid on sale for $2.99 (can) per jug bulk price. My brother and i did both my 1025r and his Kubota BX in just under 2 hours. Huge diference in the stability. Low cost ballast that doesn't add weight to the load the tractor must carry.
@davidrogers4527
@davidrogers4527 2 года назад
Actual pallet forks would be better, probably 36" for the smaller tractors like that.. gets the load back closer to the end of the FEL arms..

Totally agree..I have one with a 60in bucket and 54 rear snowblower..54 mower deck. Excellent for grass and snow!!

@@FrankDiNardi Agree it is a great tractor and you are doing amazing with it!! Please don't forget the ROPS, I've seen first hand how easy it is to put one of those on it's side. ''''''''it happens fast and when you least expect it. Stay safe and keep up the good work!!

Just a little pointer try curling your bucket and forks Back before you lift you'll find it lifts more and easier on your machine!

I am buying a 12 acre tree farm and looking to get the 1025R since I will not need to mow large acres, just between the tree rows. Which are 7-8 foot apart.
@FrankDiNardi

You certainly can’t go wrong with the versatility of the 1025R

6:22 you can see the cutting edge of the bucket flexing. Cheaper to buy some titan pallet forks than permanently bow the cutting edge.
@FrankDiNardi
@FrankDiNardi 2 года назад
Hey David. I see what you’re talking about and that’s actually the camera. It’s making it look like the cutting edge is bowed like that. That GoPro shoots in a super wide angle so all of the lines are not necessarily straight.

@eastcostguy374

@@Slideways24I agree, stump removal has a few tricks when using a subcompact back hoe. An 8" stump removal was one of the first tasks that I did with my 1025r. Was a lot of learning taking place, after owning a 6 ton excavator I had a lot of things to learn.

Great video Frank! I hear more and more about issues with the GoPro 9 and/or 10. Not sure what the issue is but it may be time to dump it for something else. Can't imagine how frustrating it is to lose footage?? All the best!!

I’d be pissed! DJI makes an action camera that is pretty good, I think I’m just so used to the GoPro that it would be really hard for me to change but yes super frustrating!
