Amazing guide. This person actually knows what they are talking about with Min Min. Much much much better than any other guide including by those who are higher in the PGR. (High PGR players get their lack of Min Min skill compensated by their general skills and timing etc.).
This is still the most comprehensive overview of the character. I only have a question about inputs. It's pretty awkward to hold a for the dragon lazer when you want to throw out a b hit. Do you use a second button for attack? Or tap it on hit connect? Also, how does the setting a+b = smash attack interact with a,b combos?
This helped me so much! I learned some stuff i didnt know before like the f throw set ups (usually i use f throw to condition and understand their panic options) that you can down b out of tumble and how slam jam works (I thought it was a lot more difficult to set up than it is lol)
SlamJamicus yeah; i play min min as sort of a trapper i cant reallt describe it but i try to put my opponent in a position that sorta traps them and also i’m very good at neutral and she flows with me unlike any other character in the roster and she has tools no one else offer me; down b out of tumble actually seems really useful for just getting out of tumble
@@cinnabun3659 Down B won't get you out of tumble, think of it like Mondado Arts. But this is useful for prepping your next attack, say you're using ram ram and get knocked away, you can switch while even tumbling and megawatt fair in defense
I do smash content myself and when it comes to chill discussions I usually play the same song you played at the start being history from Sonic mega collection so I gotta sub for that at least Plus as someone who wants to main all the fg characters, while I feel my Min Min is good, it can always improve
Hey there, thanks for this. My question is more specifically about usig ledge getup options. The strategy of throwing one arm to discourage ledgehang/jump, and using the second arm as a response tool is very strong. When trying to close out stocks with Megawatt, is there any options that are too slow for it to be thrown as a response option? If I can getup through the timing of the first arm and escape before being hit by megawatt, I can either discourage its use altogether or make them feel pressured throw it pre-emptively. If I read this correctly, it's all down to reacting to their timings and habits. At the end of the day a lot of ledge trapping is guess games. You'll really have to watch what move Min Min is leading with, if it's charged, her position, etc for picking the correct options. Character specific options like teleports or gnw up b may bypass but Min Min can always wait or react if necessary
It's been a while since I've watched the video myself, some frame data like up smash has been changed and her shield pressure and landing lag nerfs changed how she should approach some situations. I think I have more experience than the time I made it, and my playstyle is improving even more, so I think I could be more detailed with some nuanced situations in a future guide. If I made one though, I'd want even more tourney experience and a lot of play with top talent. I don't want a slouch guide. I'm also creating an informational website based around every character atm (check my pinned on twitter), so I'm not sure if a future guide is even needed.
You can charge a forward smash with your right arm by doing the same smash attack input as you normally would, but with the B button (or your special mapped button). Keep in mind that you can't charge your second arm like a smash attack after you've thrown one already, has to be the leading one. if you're saying charge as in power your right dragon arm like you would your left, you can only do it by around half charging it like a smash attack and it'll last for only that attack unlike the left arm.
I’m a ness and Lucas user, I rlly need help against this character bru. Like I understand the getting in part where her smash moves have lag but like it feels like she has a counter play for everything bro. If I try to jump over to get in a hit, I hit with that fast ass up smash or a wreckin ball neutral, and if stay too far I’m just getting toyed with. I rlly need help😭
Ness and Lucas specifically have moves like (Ness) fair or (Lucas) nair that can straight up go through arms. Try spacing that every now and then and that should help. Fighting Min Min is looking for patterns, it definitely isn't as simple as the video makes it. If she makes a big commitment and you're getting up smashed, you made a choice that was too slow or you overextended. I'm planning on throwing together a VS Min Min tip guide with a few character specific pieces of advice, so look out for that at some point. Idk if it'll be uploaded here but it'll be on my twitter at some point for sure homie
Personally I mapped my R shield button to special so I could Instant Arm Switch easier as well as use a few other things easier. I use L to shield, so it was really just an open button. I recommend smash stick as well, since her smash attacks are important
