While we are all literally Spirit sons and daughters of God, the phrase "the Spirit of adoption" is an analogy. When we make covenants with God, we take on Christ’s name. Through our covenants, we become more than His children. We receive the “Spirit of adoption” and become His heirs..

I realize you are not here to have a conversation as evidenced by your allegations that are unfounded. You apparently do not believe that we, as human beings, are also spirit and are created in the image of God in the flesh as it teaches in Genesis. Do you know what it means to worship in spirit? The Protestant theory that God is a genderless essence of non-embodied spirit has indoctrinated you to believe that the philosophical traditions that God the Father is not our father or that Jesus is actually the only Begotten Son of God in the flesh. Protestant scholars do not understand the context of Isaiah and his teachings or Paul and his teachings. Latter-day Saints teach that we are created in the actual image of God and that God is actually a person that we worship. This is a straight forward biblical truth. It is not Hinduism. Your attempt to create a falsehood is noted and is a fallacy. I have noticed over the decades that critics of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints resort to these falsehoods to discourage truth seekers from knowing that Jesus Christ has restored his church and gospel with apostolic and prophetic leadership. Your theology regarding a mystical triune entity is not biblical in the slightest.

I would counter by the rule that I use to determine any and all truth and doctrine; does it fit and sit with The Christ-Jesus? We see categorically Jesus although the Creator of this world and the Jehovah of the Old testament was born as a lowly lamb in a stable, into mortality (there's a connection between us and God right there). And as it says in scripture He learned obedience through suffering and culminated his mission successfully by his atonement in which we need to rely. And after his resurrection went on to sit down on the right hand of God, receiving all power and even judgment to the point where all things will be under his care. My summation therefore is that God can and has duplicated Himself in the Christ Jesus! This is how good God is and how powerful He is, and what did Jesus teach? That you and I can become co-heirs with Him if it so be that we can find and follow Him and bind and bound ourselves to Him and his, principles practices plans purposes people priorities... Because He goes to his Father and to our Father. Does it not say that, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us? Why on Earth would one limit the grace of The Christ, the One sent to show us how to be like God? Did He not teach that we are to be perfect or complete as His Father?

Why do you think the JOSEPH Smith papers exist. An organization with human beings will never be perfect. You’ve been deluded by a false expectations. The doctrine of Christ is Pure in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The fact that someone leaves the church doesn’t give any more credibility to the reasons they don’t believe. They give the same reasons generally for not believing. There is only one church that teaches that we are actually created in the image of God. There’s only one Church of which Jesus Christ is the head. There’s only one Church that has the full authority to administer the fullness of the gospel and the covenants and ordinances that pertain to it. It is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Isaiah says there is no Jehovah but One. not God. Elohim means God of the Gods. The Bible is not perfect. the dead sea scrolls has three different versions of Isaiah. Try telling the truth

The Godhead is formed by 3 distinct persons that have an individual eternal Identity. The father presides in the Godhead. Your claim that God the Father does not have a female counterpart indicates that you probably do not believe the biblical teachings or have made up your own doctrine as to what it means to be created in the image of God, male and female.

If God the Father has a spirit, why did Jesus Christ resurrect with a physical body? If they are one, as you say, how is God a spirit, yet Jesus has a physical body? John 5:19 says, "Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does". If the son was resurrected, then the Father was resurrected just like him. The BIBLE says that.

@@davidfrey5654 The Son of God, a divine being, came to our world in the flesh. It was the condescension from God to man that was such a great sacrifice and the display of love for His creation. He became the son of man and that was not just temporary.

Latter-day Saints, don’t believe God has blood in his body. A resurrected body like our Savior Jesus Christ is eternal matter, perfected and glorified. We are resurrected as the same gender we are born as.
