Thank you so so much for making this video!! We greatly appreciate it! Super happy everyone seems to be excited for a more movement based entry into the mascot horror genre! Can't wait to see you play it!
Game looks really cool Also someone commented “this is one of the better poppy playtime clones” and the creator responded “yeah we clearly took inspiration but we’re trying to be different” Unlike Garden of Banban creators, they can take criticism
@@jonahboris6681 i guess you forgot that they blocked uhyeah over a harmless joke and only unblocked him until recently when they mentioned his meme Bird Up in the last game. And he was not the only one who got blocked by them of course. It's safe to say they cannot handle even the slightest of criticism.
for years as a kid i would always get lost in jungle gyms every time i went to one and that shit scared me to DEATH, so this game will probably unlock that childhood trauma in a very horrifically positive way. i unironically adore these character designs and the gameplay as well! really hoping finding frankie gets so much more attention as an effortful project over the slop ones that we've been getting this month oh my god.
Okay having a platformer in a jungle gym setting is pretty genius of an idea the more I think about it. I’m really curious as to how they’ll balance the platforming and horror aspect in a setting like this but I can kinda already see it. This looks really promising
I’m really surprised that a movement based horror game hasn’t become a more popular genre, since the idea of having lots of speed and movement ability means that something has the ability to catch up with you is pretty freaky. That idea that your tech needs to be perfect or else t h e b e a s t will eat you sounds perfect.
Dude the art direction looks amazing! I've had a lot of ideas for indie horror games, where movement, chaos, and fast paced action are at the forefront
COSMIC ADVENTURES?!? Oh my god the memories are coming back. I used to go to that place all the time as a kid, pretty sure there was only one location iirc.
Yo, I've been trying to branch out the variety of games I play into some horror stuff, because I've been playing sonic so much, and this looks AWESOME! Platforming mixed with horror just seems so perfect to me!
Weirdly enough I got very inspired to plan a mascot horror game whilst watching your video yesterday and I hope it fies pop off so I can watch several different youtubers play it
Honestly the fact that you will be able to parkour there like Mirror's Edge or Titanfall makes it quite that more scary, for how much crazy Is the Enemy movement going to be that you Will need that much mobility, like we saw what I assume is Frankie and bro stretched up and got as tall as the huge room itself! Most looking forward to this one!
I saw Finding Frankie’s trailer either scrolling RU-vid or as an actual ad, and either way I remember sitting through it and being oddly intrigued by it, so much so that I wish listed it on Steam
I heard of this game cause of this channel's comment section; but I confused it with "Let's find Larry" so I thought they were talking about that. I had this idea for a horror game that had platforming mechanics (or I guess in this game parkour mechanics) so it's nice to see this weird want of mine being fufilled. The enemies also having extendo lims is a very cool concept that I like too. My one issue is that visuals wise it's nothing too unique; like it's good looking but it blends in with other games of it's kind too much in my opinion. Anywyas looking forward to this one.
I've been looking forward about this game for quite a long time now, and I think this one will turn out to be actually amazing. All the points you've made, I all agree with em'. The Finding Frankie Devs are bringing a bright light to the Mascot Horror Genre, which has been on a massive downhill for more than a year and a half now thanks to stupid Garten of Banban.
2024: Save me Finding Frankie...Finding Frankie...Finding Frankie save me . . . I did really enjoy PP Ch2's Boss Chase because of the swinging mechanics and the two ENORMOUS gaps at the end of the chase. Very nerve-wracking to watch AND play. I can see Finding Frankie as an answer to that Boss Chase
This shit looks so fucking good Ik honestly impressed The only thing so far I can only charge from the game play is the environment which I’m not a fan of mainly just because I’ve seen this goddamn playful, colourful area in a mascot horror game over 100 times, but besides, that I think it looks good
I’m so hype for this game. I live in the UK and over here (at least where I live) we have play centres, which are basically buildings where the whole thing is dedicated to the play structures, with maybe a room for birthdays, and they were a staple of my childhood. I’m so excited someone’s actually doing a game based off of something so similar 🥹
You can't realy compare both but the seek chase in Roblox Door is truly fun and if a game can replicate this style of "you are running from a monster with music blasting your ears" it will be good. I can only for hope this game.
Me and my brother talked about parkour with horror, so we got an idea to make a horror game with parkour and while Finding Frankie is more movement based, our will be more survival focus, hiding and stuff but not on lockers and stuff but hiding on top of door, between walls and more Basically having a smart victim
The way this game sounds makes me think someone saw dying light’s traversal mechanics and went “lets just take away all their weapons and make it permanently night” which, isn’t meant to be a bad thing. Cuz godamn those games had some fun chases when you were forced to run. Juking the monster sounds fun.
Here’s some more proof this game isn’t a Poppy Playtime clone: Frankie and Boxy Boo look similar, but apparently Frankie was designed before Boxy Boo was revealed to the public
Day 7 of reviewing the UCN roster in order until uhyeah gaming daily uploads stop Toy Chica I honestly never liked this one. Her face just looks really flat and weird without the beak, and I honestly just cannot look at this character the same way after what a bunch of weird people in the fanbase have done to her. Rating: 4/10
For once a mascot horror game actually makes its own unique and original gameplay idea, and isnt just a generic "Use tool to press button, use tool to complete puzzle amd progress through game"
