Great review and good on you for picking out the issues where other reviewers have missed. Can you do a comparison against any of the Sony XM series? They seem to be a popular alternative with plenty in the 2nd hand market. Thanks.

Excellent review. Thanks for being honest with the keyboard clicking.

Yes, thanks for the practical review. Honestly, I have no issues as my key caps are silver and almost silent. I guess you need to factor what sort of keycaps you have - particularly if you are so conscious of keyboard sounds being picked up on the mic. I find the noise cancelling is really good. also the boom mic is cool and can be tucked away and it looks like a regular on-hear headset.

Thanks for the review, I had the same experience with Evolve2 75. The Mic volume is terrible where it's up & down randomly and it loses my voice sometimes. My current go-to solution is to avoid the hardware noise-cancelling headphones. I use a random cheap Logitech headphone where it can pick up almost everything and then use Krisp for the noise canceling. Within a quiet environment, I can just turn off the noise canceling to have the best quality without worrying about it filtering out my voice without my notices

Great review, most of YT reviewers are paid for their reviews, so they don't point out anything negative only positive things.

He is absolutely right after purchasing evolve 2 65 i found that it your software such as MS teames blocks the noise and not the jabra headset i have tried tests like office noise and dogs barking which is shown in oher reviews but person on the other end was clearly able to hear it it doesn't matter if you buy evolve2 65 , 75 or 85 all seems to be working same

Seems you used the headset out of the box and did not install the Jabra Direct software? Were you able to update the firmware? There are some settings you need to tweak before you can get maximum functionality and benefit from the headset's features.

does this headset have side-tone? Like when you're on a call can you hear your own voice as well like a monitor function? I need a headset that has that, I hate when i can't hear my own voice through a headset and I feel like I sound all muffled and can't tell how I'm coming through the call.

Thank you for the review. I guess I will just buy the Sony WH-1000 XM5 if I remember right it has noice cancelling chip. Also did updating your Jabra Evolve2 75 didn't fix the issues?
@TonyQuillMagic
@TonyQuillMagic Год назад
Unfortunately, updating the firmware didn't really change anything. I only wish the WH-1000 XM5 had a mute button haha

I wish I watched your review before I bought the Jabra Evolve 275. I agree that the mic is horrible when any noise is introduced. I saw a video of someone using it with a blender and was very impressed until I purchased it and tried the same test myself. It couldn't even block out the sound of a baby crying in another room and for some odd reason, it kept cutting out my voice. For a $300 headset, I feel kind of cheated.
@TonyQuillMagic
@TonyQuillMagic Год назад
Yea, its really disappointing. I'm still trying to find a headset that can block out background noise well, but not your own voice

@@TonyQuillMagic poly Voyager focus 2. I have it and nobody can tell I'm driving, I'm in a mall or my dogs barking. Don't even need to activate AMC (it has two levels). Suet confortable to wear the whole day. Only complaint : the leatherette surfaces touching your grad and ears are getting scratched very very easily (the headband you cannot replace). This is why I am looking now for a different model for my second headset but Jabra EV275 seems not the answer.

@@cocosricos5541 Thanks for this. My cheapo Poly Blackwire 3220 also suffers from the surfaces flaking off. Looks like durability is not one of Poly's strengths. Do share what you are finally deciding on if you can.

I heard the lower models (55/65) is better because the mic is longer and closer to your mouth.

Test it outside the MS teams (outside the calling software) and see the difference. You can also test using your phone voice recorder and see the difference. 😂😂😂

They are bogus to me. The voice isolation to remove the background call noise is the most important thing and the noise comes through. It hears my steps. It hears the water faucet water, flushing toilet, opening and closing the microwave, cars passing, wind. Nothing as a remote home worker is it working for. Thank goodness for the new ios 16.4 voice isolation which works terrific and now I have a solution. The Poly 5200 and Tilde Pro did so much better but the Tilde Pro is useless in wind. The Jabra also made awkward sound in my ears in wind and to the person on the other end so again useless. Again, Apple solved the problem with ios 16.4. And comfort, its hurting my ears, the Tilde Pro around over ears is far more comfortable. With the new ios, now I have to figure out how to use all these headphones and why.

Thanks for your comment! I just learned about this update from your comment, and it seems to make a good difference. Before, KrispAI was pretty much the only option to use, but I'm glad phone manufacturers are realizing the trend of hybrid work. Do you find that the 16.4 solves the issue with wind, or is that still an on-going issue? Thanks!

@@TonyQuillMagic my phone is iphone 12 and yes it solved it from sticking the phone on speaker outside the car at 50 mph and i heard very little. But once it was outside the window it did not hear my voice talking so I heard no voice. The ios voice isolation works with the headsets too so you get best of both which is terrific because its like having best of both combined. The poly 5200 would block car passing sound mostly when walking but the others would hear quite a bit of car and still hear dog barking. But now the others also hear nothing. Also clarification, Jabra did reduce noise but not to level where I would consider acceptable in a meeting. Poly 5200 did well. Tilde Pro did better than Jabra but not good enough except for blender which was better than Poly so mixed bag. Blue Parrot m100 was mediocre on everything. But all of them with the ios feature were great thanks to ios not to them. But it all is blue tooth call scenario not the usb card scenario so i dont know yet about that.
