David brings up the age old question that goes both ways - How can good children come from bad parents? and How can bad children come from good ones? It is the story of Ahaz and Hezekiah from bad to good, and the story of Hezekiah to Manessah I guess you could throw David in here too with Absalom the deciding factor and point is coming under the influence of God's Word and being wiling to submit to it, live it, not just know about it as if its for someone else or others. The more we go to the Word to wash us, the more we are regenerated into NEW creatures or creation. the less we do, the more we fall back into our old habits, old man life style so much so, it is hard to distinguish such a believer from a sinner, for they live alike.
