Idolatry is insidious. We, sinful men are idol making factories. Like Pastor Guzik so eloquently put it, anything in our lives can be our idols and may we always praise and glorify the one true living God who is the author of life, no matter our circumstance.

Sad that a symbol of God's mercy became a symbol of idolatry 😔 we humans can't help destroying what is good. It's why we need Jesus, because otherwise we become our own idols and destroy ourselves. Jesus lives! ♥️ and is God 🙏🏻 Christ ✝️ and King 👑

Hezekiah was one of my favorite kings - to me the few mistakes he made were asking to live longer, and not being concerned so long as it doesn't happen under his watch. You see God's plan is never thwarted altered or changed, He is God, knows all ahead and after time. That said, He did allow Hezekiah to turn back the sundial and live another 15 yrs. (as if we have to beg God to remember the good things we have done - what about being thankful for the good life He had done and given one?) - so why does this bother me you might ask? Glad you asked. His boy, and his grand kids for starters. Although Manesseh grew up in a God honoring home, it wasn't until the very end of his life that he came back to the Lord and repented, yet prior to that was one of the most HEINOUS wicked evil of kings, it was hard to believe he came out of his dad's home, considering all his dad stood for. Manesseh begged his kids to repent, to no avail. So no 15 yrs. no kid, no grand kid. Just saying. God still makes His plan work despite our whining and wanderings. The last part is not being concerned about your fellow man once you are gone. We should always leave a legacy - this man loved God/Christ and others should follow such an example, concerned for the welfare and outcome of man or men set up for destruction.
