I did notice on my many starts it was hit or miss on the camps / carts. I had the main camp by the 3 waterfalls but hardly any of the other ones, and some of the carts were there on a couple of the other starts. I guess it's up to RNG weather ort not you get all of the big camps / Carts, like the fishing camp and the others.

My best tip is don’t get attached to your first 2-3 starts. You’re going to make huge mistakes. I’ve started over 5-6 times and I’m just gettin to the point where I understand the game enough to make good decisions.

Honestly that's how I play most games! First one or two goes to get the hang of it, then start over when I think I know what I'm doing. For really involved games sometimes it takes more goes. Oxygen Not Included for example I got a little bit further each time. XD

🥲 same here. im in my first p[laythrough and I KNOW that I'll find a better place to settle, put my house, etc...and thats just location. thats just how it goes. This first dynasty doesn't have a shot. its destined to fail and its only day 1. XD 😁 But since I'm old and i don't have a ton of time? The 2nd playthrough will have to be for keepsies. May god have mercy on their peasant souls.

Quick tip for picking up sticks and stones faster: Hold a bow in your hand and it removes the animation for picking up, making it faster to pick up sticks and stones.

Just leaving this for others...the cart at the first camp with the masvaldia, iron knife, and noble boots spawn individually from the rest of the camp, so you might not get them. Also, if you go into the water next to the camp toward those 3 waterfalls, there's tin ore, limestone, and a bronze pickaxe (random spawn as well)

Unless it recently changed you don't have to put the knife in a quick slot, it will use it from the inventory when needed to skin. Unless of course you use it for something else to which I don't know about. Another great guide for new players and old.

The knife will auto equip in the first available slot when picked up (if you do not already have a knife equipped). If you noticed, the iron knife auto equipped in slot one, so I place my knife in slot 8 so it is already equipped and out of the way in case I pick up another knife.

@@HecticNasari Yes but you don't need to have it in your quickslot. You can move it back into your inventory and still skin without having to select it.

My game has an annoying habit of auto equipping stone knives that I craft to sell, in spite of the fact that I already have an iron knife equipped.

I’ve been playing for several seasons and have never been to the three waterfalls area and never knew the bandit camp was there across the lake from the island. I built my village right there on the side closest to the island. My plan is to build my big house on the island. So thank you for all these camp spawn points! I have new places to explore.

I just got into this game and have been loving it. My current playthrough wasn't the greatest and decided to start over. This video along with the game rng I was able to make 4.5 thousand gold on day 1 following this guide. Thank you this was very helpful!

First game I ever loaded and not only was the cart right at the spawn point, but the big bandit camp was there too! Hell yeah! The cart with the potions in it wasn't there, but you didn't even stop to pick them up on the way to the bandit camp so I'm not sweating it. So much good loot to start with in the first five minutes!

Hi, thanks for a very thorough guide. Didn't quite catch the premiere but will watch the video. I wanted to add (maybe not many people found it) that there is a free large pouch you could get. It is found north-east to hornica, following a creek that leads to this small lake which ends in a cave. In that cave you will also find some coins and some other items. The problem might be to go there safely, though... Maybe not on a first day :)

I just did this and found: No Cart at beginning, bandit camp at water fall, going up creek found a chest, no barrels at end of creek, barrel at cave, bandit camp just past bridge, no 2 second bandit camp across from island but barrel on the shore, coin pile on island, no bandit camp up creek. @@kylania These loot locations are random when they spawn. It took a lot more than 10 restarts for me to find the games I feature in these First Day Guides like this one. If you are on PC there is a link in the description of the video where you can download this exact game save. Unfortunately, it does not work for console. If you are on console, you would probably benefit more from my 2000 Coin 1st day video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0Quz8AQH0Uc.html This video is a little older and did not have fast crafting available, but it is still relevant to the game. I recommend turning on fast crafting and you can potentially get over 3000 coins or more your first day.

this starting location worked well. I had to reload a few times but the bandit camp finally spawned and i found a variety of useful items laying around, including and ax, bow, water skin and spiked club.

Thanks for this, 2 years later I tried this. I had to restart the game 4 times to get that bandit camp at the waterfalls, and the backpack and pouch seemed to cost me double the amount. Unfortunately, most of the other camps didn't spawn but I have the pouch and backpack and the recurve bow, watersack and stuff. Thanks for the effort making this video and I will subscribe to your channel!

Tired last night to follow the steps on ver 1.1.0.2. First 5 spawns no camp near the waterfall. Then finally camp spawned but the rest of the camps outlined were not there neither does the stash under the rock in the island. No barrel nor pick axe at the cave entrance either. Maybe devs figured out this run. Thanks for the vid subbed to your channel.

All locations are random when they spawn, So, just because you have one spawn does not mean all will spawn. Just keep checking back, as you will eventually have them in your game at some point. 😃

It would be fun to watch you go around the whole map to steal and loot all towns, bandit camps, treasures, carts and anything else that first spawns in a new game to see how much can be made. My guess is around 7k-8k after buying the inventory bags.

Might have to think about doing a video like that, However, it took all of the first day to travel the loop in this guide. So, traveling the whole map would take two days for sure and possibly into the third day. The stealing would be an issue due to the fact that there are some item placements that you can not steal without getting caught. This means the player would be loosing dynasty reputation and possibly a lot of it. Hmm, now you have me thinking. I'll see what I can come up with. Thanks for the idea.

i don't know if you ever found it, but there is a chance for a metal Pickaxe to spawn in the stones in front of the point camp you passed to the bandit camp.

In my game the 2nd camp south of Tutki, the island stash and the camp SE of the creek weren't there. I was able to buy the extra bag space and get the recurve bow though. I relied on crafting stone knives and I mined some ore in the mine by Baranca instead of selling the pick right off.

Easiest way to get the ore out from inside the barrels (or to get to the inside of the bandit tents) is to crouch down and approach the barrel. ;)

Just FYI, Bandits will spawn the first year sometimes. I am in year 1 summer and I killed three by the west bridge which is south of Tutki.

When i made this video, bandits were not unlocked until the player reached year 2 in the game. However, that was changed in a later update and Bandits can now spawn on the first day.

Ok just an update, if you are on ps4 the draw distance isnt as good as the pc, turns out thdy were probably spawning all the time..just incase anyone else has same problems....

Yes it is, and I do use the crouch feature a lot. However, my idea on the first day is quickly grab stuff and move on. That way you can make the loop and get back to Gostovia to start talking to Uniegost before he goes to bed. Just remember where you left items and return on day two to pick them up while you are venturing out looking for a place to build. Thank you for pointing out the crouching tip, I forgot to mention it.

still works as of 28/10/23 - i had to restart the game a few times as even thought the camp appeared at the waterfall, the cart did not (so missing out on the 500 coin masvaldia). the only time the cart appeared with the camp was when the starting point cart was also present. Took about 10 restarts to get it. I didnt get the last camp to appear which had the bow but not too fussed as already picked up a recursive bow at teh waterfalls.

When this guide was published, bandits did not spawn until year 2. That has since been changed and bandits can spawn in your very first season. :)

I'm just happy I was able to get the bow but couldn't find any arrows but thats alright just gonna play the game regular now I just wanted to get the bags for the carry weight that makes such a huge difference. Great video, HN. I was planning to start a new game after getting my sea legs in my initial save. I'll definitely use this for my day one. Any chance of videos with advice and tips for saves incorporating long seasons? Like 20-30 day seasons.

I would definitely recommend a longer day per season game. Even if you wanted to do a 30 day season. Once you have everything you want done in the season, just go to bed and "Sleep the Season" and you are good to go. Some seasons would be better to have more days (like spring, summer) and some seasons don't need as many (like winter). I do have a tips guide in the works and this will be covered in that guide as well. Thank you for watching.

Remember that you need more food, water and firewood for your villagers and food for yourself. As Nas said you can sleep to end the season from day 3 on. Once you have done what you want to do it's a good way to continue. Even though you have time to do all the side quests there are some that I don't feel give enough of a reward to do. When the new update goes live I'll have to check if they are any better. I really like the longer seasons as I'm a bit of a completionist. I get that the game wants you to pick and choose but I find it more enjoyable to do it all.

I realize this is an old video, but even when you posted this, just up the hill a bit from that first camp, there is a second camp with a free pouch, up to 300 gold, bronze shovel.. and some wines.. Between these 2 camps I make a pretty golden penny..

Fyi. At the first vamp at 3falls. Theres are 2 more rqndomly generated things to check..first is a iron or bronze pick(dont recall) in tge cliff face if the waterfalls. And a few ores around it... also above the falls sometimes there is a chest with coin in itm and a shovel. That first camp is really critical. I missed the boots tho thanks

Great vid and very informative. I do however myself feel that playing like this is way too much meta-gaming for me to enjoy. It just makes me feel like if I'm going to do all of this, I might as well save myself some time and use a cheat code to get anything I want. I get that some people just want to "cheat" in game, and in the end how do you really cheat in a single player game anyway. But for myself just going through the game 'the ole fashioned way', as 'intended', ends up being more enjoyable in the end. But good information on what to collect and what to sell early on regardless. Thanks.

That is the great thing about this game, you can play it how you want to. I understand that some may feel like this is cheating, and that is ok. However, technically, I have not cheated. The game is a blank standard game with all default settings, no code has been changed to achieve this map. The only thing I did that could really be considered a cheat would be restarting the game to find the right map setup. This all being said, this is not how I play my own game. My season 5 series I did change some of the game settings because they were a new addition and I wanted to see how they worked, like the exp/technology gain and the quick crafting option. Which both of those help me for recording and advancing the game in a timely fashion. So, if you do not want to play the game as I have shown in the guide, that is very much ok. I always encourage people to play the way they enjoy the most. Thank you for watching and for your thought.

Did you download the game save I provided in the description of the video and install it in your game folder? If so, you should have been safe. Otherwise, if you did not download and install the game save, then the bandit and loot locations spawn randomly. Well it's totally different now... Most of the stuff didn't spawn (I know it's random. The spawn got nerfed?). I got attacked by bandits on the road to Branica (year 1, day 1). I had barely 400 bucks by the time I reached the bag seller. By which point I decided to reload and enable infinite inventory and be done with the bag conundrum. Then, Rajmund is not leaving his hut. I stopped there. That's why I don't like playing games in development. Change too much all the time.

During your first season? Bandits generally don't spawn until sometime during year two. 🤔

@@HecticNasari Yes, during the first day. It was the only camp like that. I had to make a quick retreat as they saw me at the same time I saw them and were coming for me.

So was following your video but I was much slower it got dark after the camp. Next to the small creel bridge I gotta attacked and killed by bandits haha

When this video was made 2yrs ago, bandits were OFF by default. They are now ON by default.

The camp availability is very random. You need to create a new game each time, not just restart the same game. Just wanted to make that clarification. There is also a chance for all loot locations to spawn each season, but not at the same time. Hope this helps. 😉👍

annoying fact is that some camps/carts might not spawn in your own world just like in my world I didn't get a pouch of money

Yes, each game randomizes the loot spawns in the game. However, in the description of this video, I have supplied the exact game save I used for this video. If you are a PC player (Not GamePass or Console) you can download the game save with instructions on how to save it to your own files and you will have all the same locations active as shown in the video.

I started playing again this past week after playing it for a week after the initial alpha release. This video is exactly what I needed. However, where did you find the floor between the waterfall camp and Gustovia? I couldn't find any no matter which route I took.

If you are playing on PC there is a Game Save download link in the description of the video. It is the exact game save as shown in the video. By "Floor" I am thinking you might be talking about the "Planks". If so there can sometimes spawn a busted cart at the bridge east of Gustovia. All loot spawns are random each season.

@@GreenWolfDen Ok, I probably picked the "Flour" up out of a sack or barrel. From Gustovia head east. the first creek you come to will sometimes spawn a couple of sacks on either side of the tiny bridge. Again, if you leave Gustovia's east gate walk directly north to the river and follow the river shore East towards the east bridge, there are some barrels that can spawn along that shore. I probably picked those up at either of those locations. I did not show them in the video because I was trying to cut down the video length and neither location has items to waste time on for a new player. However, I did put a notice on the screen at 4:58 incase anyone did spot these locations during their travels.

When it comes to villagers house. They come with chest but if you put stuff in them will the villagers use the items like , food, water, wood? Or do they have to be put in to the designated buildings for them to use it? Just wondering if those chest are pretty well useless to the villagers?

All items in the game have a designated place to be stored for villager use. It is listed in the description of each item while in your inventory. Either the Resource Storage or Food Storage. House storage can be used, but it is not recommended. However, you personally can store stuff in your house chest.

Man. My luck be terrible, got the first bandit camp but none of the carts in the beginning. No barrels at the creek but i did have the barrel at the cave entrance. The guy was in the hunting lodge when i arrived to it and the second bandit camp wasnt there for me. Plus side i have all the items that were bought.

Don't restart those locations re-spawn on season changes so just go back and look. The locations are not random just the season in which they spawn are.

There are many other camps around the map that will spawn during random seasons. I would ne restart a game just for one camp. Just my opinion.

The camp and loot locations are all part of a random generation system. I believe when I was looking for maps to do this video on, it took me over 25 tries to even find this one. If you are playing on PC there is a download link in the description of the video for my exact game save I recorded this video with. That way you can just load the save in your game files and don't have to hunt for the perfect starting map.

I don’t think it spawns there anymore I’ve restarted the game 30 times but never got that bandit camp. I’ve gotten the cart twice that’s it. The starting loot that you can get after spawning in is more consistent

Starting the same game does not change the spawn locations. You have to create an entirely new game each time.

Hey bud sorry alot of the camp locations must also spawn randomly like the first one in your vid, I had to replay this probably 30 times and I'm 3/4 through. The guide is nice but It must very because I got different items and less gold but that's ok. The camp before the island wasn't there and the camp after the island wasn't there either just a bunch of moose. Either way this video helped alot yet I'm still unsure how the actual settlement works interms of who what and why. Anyways thanks appreciate the vid .

I just played for a day, returning after being gone for around 6 months after playing to year 18. So much is new, as I experienced, and this video was super helpful! Even though I'm at the end of the first year now, I'm going to start over and follow this guide, since even now I don't have the extra carry weight from packs. And have been spear hunting since I haven't had enough ammo to use the bow I found. It's been rough. Especially since you don't get winter clothes any more from the Uni quest. Is buying them the only way now to get through the winter without a pile of torches? (since the first year it's unlikely anyone could craft them)

It is all RNG, it took me a long time of restarting to actually find this map set-up. If you are on PC then there is a download link in the description of the video that is the game save for the map I used for this video.

i yet to buy the game. steam says i like it. but it looks so boring lol. i can see the manager side being fun if u can get past the hours of grind early on. This starter video was amazing how quick easy u can get everything u had and coin to get started. def helps me lean towards getting the game....... we shall see. i know its a good game. i just fear its not the game for me. which is ok.

It is a fun game, but it is also not the game for everyone. I've put close to a1k hours into this game and I still play it. The dev team has been great at staying connected with the community and putting our updates every few months even since the game dropped to full release back in Sept. Spawns are random. If you are on PC there is a Game Save that is available for download in the description below the video. If you are on Console, then it is "Luck of the Draw". There is another video that might be more beneficial to console players. Check my Tips and tricks playlist for "2000 coins First Day" video. if you use fast crafting you can get over 3k coins. Does anyone know if changes have been made so this first bandit camp doesn't spawn anymore? I've restarted the game over a dozen times and the best I've ever gotten is a wagon at the location.

It does still spawn, but it can take many many restarts to get it. Look in the description of this video and I have supplied a link where you can download this exact game save and play on it for yourself. The download even includes instructions on how to add it to your game files. I'm currently working on another Beginner guide that should be out in a couple of weeks and it will also include a game save download.

If you are on PC there is a game save download of the exact save I am playing on in the video description that you can load into your game. Otherwise, yes you would have to restart the game until the camp spawns in. All loot locations like the camp are a random spawn at the start of the game and during season changes.

must be a lot of random stuff cuz after the first camp, nothing you got was in my game. Nothing by the cave, the 2nd camp was not there, 3rd camp wasn't there, the 4th camp wasn't there, cart with flax, not there, extra camp you mentioned, not there, So you finish with 2900 coins, I have 1361 and I don't have the Iron axe... I guess I got a bad deal here :(
