Timothy Dalton was a good Bond, and this song is one of the best Bond themes ever. Both very underrated, and deserved so much more recognition at the time.
This Bond theme, the movie The Living Daylights and Timothy Dalton as Bond have all aged the best by far from the entire Bond series. A-ha nailed the theme song!
I knew there was a band named A-ha. Their signature song, "Take on Me," resonated with me during childhood. I'm 37, and while listening to random songs in the middle of the night, I heard "Crying in the Rain". I got instantly hooked. It's an amazing journey of discovering that these guys wrote a HEAP of brilliant songs. This is my top favorite, along with "Stay on These Roads."
Morten Harket has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard. His vocal range is every bit as impressive as Freddie Mercury's was. Not only that but he's good enough looking to play James Bond himself.

I listened to the Stay On These Roads album last week for the first time in years. I'd forgotten that there was this album version, which is think is just gorgeous. Love everything about this.
Takes me right back to the 80s and my youth, happy and sad times for personal reasons but looking back I'm so proud to have been around in the 80s, great music, great bands.
@@tothemargent7140 He was meant to also be in Goldeneye but it got delayed so many years he had lost interest in the role when it was actually made. They indeed wanted him back but he declined. A choice he must've been hitting his head over a few times because it is one of the most popular installments in the franchise.

Whoa this is better than virtually any other Bond song. A-ha are that great. And Morten Harket has an incredible voice what a range and texture of notes.

one of the super bands in 80's along with Duran Duran. still love their songs after 3 decades or more. they will be remembered years to come and their songs will stay forever.
Y a mí gustó el James bond más real, lástima que la saga en esa época entro en un problema legal.. tenía contrato Dalton para una película más ,el contrato venció y el perdío las ganas de hacer otra película más.. para mí el James bond más realista y vulnerable...
