I have to say this lesson gave me a big insight into how often we plan, as a compensation for our perceived fragility, that comes as a result of believing we are a body. For instance when I feel low or insecure or generally dissatisfied, which (which is often) and which comes from the sense of weakness as result of identifying as a body, I defend from this by going into incessant planning mode to take control of a situation, "What will I say" "How do I respond" "How can I fix this" "How can I sort this" Even sometimes on a subtle level "How can I get this person to do what I want" or "how can I control these certain circumstances, to be as I want them" I noticed that this all came from a sense of inadequacy that comes from thinking I am weak as a result of thinking I am a body in other words fragile . And that as a result I think the world is untrustworthy therefore I need to control it and fix it to be as I want it. I realised this really powerfully from this lesson, and realised that Trust is the antidote to all this planning, and that if I let go it gives me the best chance of things working out in my favour without my needing to interfere. I did this practice for nearly a month: let me tell you the craziest things happened. Things and synchronicities happening on such a level I could never have thought possible. I have the craziest stories from that time. It doesn't happen quite as strong now, but when I first started it was incredible how it worked. Now I don't feel the need to interfere with things that threaten me so much as I once did, which is such a relief as defence and planning are such a sure fire way of making a mess of things, and just letting be and trusting really brings about miracles

Just watched the video you recommended regarding how to hear the voice of spirit vs the ego. There were some helpful tips and inspiring prayers. Slowing down like you mentioned in your " walk in the woods" story is very important. For me it's like tuning my antenna and getting the station on the radio to come in clearer. I just need to practice this more. I am a retired nurse that wants an extra income and have been asking for guidance. I have had mixed messages and hoping I will get clearer . Expect Miracles on your RU-vid has given me more clarity and hope. 🙏❤️

Hey Laura. I am actually called to do a video on free will, so I will go more in depth there.... but in short, free will comes in with our ability to choose. We are free to choose the thoughts of ego or the thoughts of God. The thoughts of God show us that our Will IS Gods. So we want to choose the Will we share with Him as it brings us happiness and peace and everything we could ever want or need. Ego is the thought that comes from choosing NOT to do the will of God or listening to His voice/plan etc. So we are always free to choose what voice we listen to, and what master we follow. Hope that helps

I have not read the book, but A Course in Miracles says God has a plan... so you do not need one. But you DO need to listen to His voice, trust your intuition / heart and ASK for guidance.... you will then be led to follow the plan of God (which is found in the flow) and you will findJoy

Start with answering the question / guidance.... and be brutally honest with yourself. "Do you want to be right or happy?" based on your honest answer to this question, you will be led to the next piece of guidance.

Sounds like an honest comment. I feel like offering my personal thought. I'm not down with any approach that makes it seem like God is to be used to satisfy wandering desires. I think one needs to cherish a certain image of God and be pleased when you feel connected to him via your choices in life. For me, that image has developed from the Lord's Prayer, from Psalm 23, from the Adam and Eve story, from the life and work of Jesus and other sources. Sometimes fellow humans bring me to tears with their godliness. Once you've arrived at this, even at something close to this, you will be able to put your own ego on hold until you have this 'wisdom that is not your own'. In a sense, this is being born again. Being born is traumatic, but then new life.

It doesn't sound like he's living ACIM..or practicing it or letting it change him / his heart. If he did...it will integrate him more with the world and with others as ACIM is for God...for service...for caring for our Brothers as ourselves and that becomes natural once we let it change our own mind/heart. Sorry that's how he is choosing to use such a divine text. Are you studying ACIM?
