Perhaps the museums could charge admission for the interactive spectacle while it lasts. There's a lot of possibilities there. Do that a few times, and they'll stop doing it. Rushing to their rescue is a waste of resources for emergency workers.

His argument is “Extreme passion means extreme measures.” That’s a dangerous game, my friend. What if one of these motorists has an extreme passion of not being blocked by climate activists. He decides to get a tire iron out of his trunk and beat you silly with it to drag you out of the street. By your argument, his extreme passion justifies his actions. If the government stops issuing gas licenses, you’ll stop blocking the motorway. If you would stop blocking the street, he wouldn’t beat you with a tire iron. Do you see the levels this gets to?

Even if we didn’t use it for fuel, we’d still use petroleum products for thousands of other purposes. Oil isn’t ever going to be stopped. If we’re hit by a massive EMP that sent us back to the Stone Age we’d still use it.
