I just checked discord and If 100 subscribers connect to your your hotspot during a month, they each can transfer 40 GB of rewarded traffic through it, and you’d earn $2,000 in MOBILE for that. So if in a home scenario each family member has their own plan then they would get the 40 Gb rewarded traffic each which would be about $20 per person, which will cover the cost of the plan that month.
I was able to put my wife in another phone in the house on to my hotspot just by putting the application with my info I've got another hotspot coming and my wife will soon be on helium mobile fill them bags
@@montereychameleonsandmore2666 the helium mobile hotspot is basically a wifi device and you only connect to it when you are in range of one. So when I get home it automatically connects to my hotspot and the hotspot then earns data transfer credits which is paid out in MOBILE. When I’m not at home it uses the helium mobile cell service which uses the T-mobile network.
Great video. Here are other things that needs to be said: 1. the data credit cap is 10GB per subscriber if they’re on the $5 plan. 40GB for the $20 and 10GB for the $5. 2. If you have a hotspot on a public place it may not be wise to automatically turn off data transfer for unrewarded subscribers, you would want happy customers who may benefit from WiFi access in areas where cell reception may not be great. 3. Helium will benefit and the network will grow the more traffic is offloaded from T-Mobile.
Regardless of the phone it will only be 10GB DTR for the 5$ plan/account and 40GB DTR for the 20$ plan/account once the account hits the max DTR it will be reset on next billing cycle. It all comes down to the WiFi certificate installed after logging in to the account. Once you have the combo, you'll get 3 rewards total all $Mobile DTR (data transmission rewards) MDR(mapping discovery rewards) PoC(proof of coverage rewards) Just need a 20$ plan that pays it self after the first month and a 250/500$ hotspot to get DTR and PoC. PoC and DMR are daily while DTR is monthly rewards.
Keep in mind, though you can only use one phone at a time for discovery mapping. it shuts down discovery mapping on the other phones that use the same account. And I’m finding it really odd that the rewards don’t actually go up that much with more events.
@@DoItJustinKace Have you found a good resource explaining how mapping and rewards work? some of my lines and family don't get rewards even with good amount of events 🤷♂🤷♂
6:40 that's per phone sub, if you have more then 1 phone plain you can get more its not limited to the wifi hotspot itself just the phone's plain. So 2 phone with 2 phone plains 80 gb of data :)
Don't forget to press the like button and if you enjoyed this content, subscribe as well. Lately these videos have been really good, lots of information and made easy to understand.
And you need 40 hexes covered in order to earn. And once you log into the helium mobile app on a different phone, it logs you out on the previous phone
5 months later. I am using the same as you have shown with main phone for discovery mapping and another phone with sim that connects to hotspot and has the helium certificate installed to connect to hotspot. But I notice I only got POC and no data rewards ever after using 12 gb over 4-5 days. Also, the hotspot is missing on the black wallet. Am I missing something?
I work from home but I would like to use this method to keep cost down but 40GB doesn’t seem like much. Any ideas for a household of 5 who stream all day?
I have a question. Is there a way to locate the traffic of helium mobile users? To deploy a hotspot in right area. Also I know you need more than 165 mapping events because that is the highest one I have that was not rewarded if that makes sense. So way more than 2 as you mentioned to be rewarded for mobile mapping
Great Videos. I had some thoughts on data usage. If we get "40GB data per plan" I'm wondering if that is per hotspot also? With 2 hotspots we might get 40GB data per hotspot?
@@DoItJustinKace yup. This is funner than iot was and waaaaay easier. I also love the fact that I can pay my line with crypto. I can always turn Solana into mobile if I need to but right now the rewards almost make it seem like we have a lifetime cell phone just because we're here for the forefront
Does anyone know if you can turn hotspot on with just the phone so I can use it in the car or on the go? Like for my kids iPad? Because the mobile hotspot doesn’t seem TRULY mobile. If I have to have it hooked up to my WiFi. Then. When I leave the house no hot spot
just got my outdoor hotspot hooked up today. I also now connect my 2 cell phones to the helium mobile internet connection. It got me wondering. would I get rewards if I changed my apple iMac that I use for internet to the helium mobile network instead of xfinity?
@@DoItJustinKace TBH it is super early. They just released the early Adopter NFT's a few days ago. there is a FAQ in their Discord. Basically they are a DeWi (Decentralized Wireless) carrier and will be deploying their own 5G/LTE carrier grade network. already have telcom setup in Canada. I am always late to these and saw this one was trending up on a site and figured $90 for an NFT was a good Risk at this point
can you explain in more detail installing yours on two different phone but one sim card? explain the connectivity. thanks i connect another phone but i can only see dynamic coverage. thanks
I'm only talking about the app. The app works as long as you have an account. So you can do Dynamic Mapping on any phone, not just the one with the sim. However you can only do it on one phone. So pick the phone you want to use.
My biggest question is what data is being tracked and rewarded? Is it the data from the hotspots direct wifi connection or the data used on the mobile 5G plan as it connects because its near by a hotspot?
Can you explain better what happens after the 40gb reach ,any rewards ? .mine maxed in two days by me and children ,so what do I earn the rest of the month ?
I think it’s bullshit how *us early beta adopters* the ones that took the “gamble” & allowed Helium mobile to expand. Yet we only get 10gb of data for rewards.
Agreed. I assume they'll make a HIP to close things like this in the future, but within a month this is going somewhere with foot traffic. So no worries.
Hi Justin, I just got Bobcat Miner 300 today but it can't conect to bluetooth to my phone. how to fix Bobcat Miner 300 have "error wait" when connect bluetooth?
Connect to the bobcat ip address check your network by going on your router ip settings and you can diagnose and give it 1-3 days and verify mining activity after a week check ports are open on your network too if outbound and inbound port settings it updates itself
If i have two phones signed up to Mobile do i earn double the points if i carry both phones with me? Also you mentioned, when somone uses the hotspot you earn data credit. How does someone use the hotspot?
I don’t know. I don’t have two phones signed up. As for your second question you just switch from whatever Wi-Fi you’re on to the Helium Wi-Fi. But you have to be set up to use their service on your phone or have the app with the service login.
I bought am apple iPhone SE as a second phone with its own helium service. I rarely use it but keep it in my pocket. its earning the same amount of rewards.
I activated multiple phones I had on other plans. Unfortunately only my main phone is getting rewarded most of the time. The other two phones I carry with me don't get any rewards even after getting over 700 events. My extended family phones are the same. They are not getting rewarded everyday. One even drives around a lot every day for work and sometimes it goes 3+ days with no rewards even with over 1300 events everyday 🤷♂ not sure why it's happening
Can you tell me differences in rewards? I’m about to release a video about how the rewards operate and at the end of the day the video shows that I have no idea!
@@DoItJustinKace The only info I can provide is the following. I just took a drive. I was home all day so here are the results from the drive from 0 events. 136, 73, 2. The one that received the 2 is a network locked phone on verizon so I understand it may not work as intended 🤷♂. The one with the most is an iphone 12, the 73 is a cheap android phone. Lets see what this week brings. Hopefully at least the two with good events get some rewards. I'll give you an update. I believe we are still connected on facebook from your helium group
If you have a phone that supports eSIM then you don’t need to buy a second phone specifically for helium mobile. I have my current carrier plan on a physical sim and then just purchased the helium mobile eSIM and installed in on the same phone. So now I have 2 cell numbers on 1 phone and it gets daily rewards from mapping and connects to my helium mobile hotspot at home. I’ve set it up this way with a separate subscription for everyone in my house.
Let me ask you the most important question. Do you feel people are early to mobile mining, or is it like when you jumped into hnt mining that it was almost at the top
I’m not sure what you mean by top. But early would’ve been a year ago. Now things are changing quick. We’re not gonna get the rewards that people got when they got in early.
not that you asked me but, we are at the beginning of a possible bull market in general and in crypto. Early was a year back, but it's not late yet. Rewards may come down but the price may increase just like what happened to HNT and IOT hotspots before the top of the market (not financial advice 🤣)
Well i lost a fortune with heliums first mess buying BOBCAT300's Helium now wants to sell people on NEW HOTSPOTS?? What do the 1000's of investors screwed on heliums first "GREAT INVESTMENT???"
@@DoItJustinKace that true like if family own a business in get ever body two use ur service you can make it so might not be hard like you said I can problem do myself tho like open new account but u pefer having people to join In pay there own service
