the most depressing thing is that most of the population are oblivious to this or just don't care. Apathy has become the most destructive disease in society

Unfortunately, the BBC's attempts at fair and balanced discussions means these schisters representatives are invited onto programs. Whilst this lobbying company's paymasters remain in the shadows, but extremely close to Conservative party power, our Conservative party government will continue to carry on with small government, big society (charities, etc.) mentality and not efficiencies, improvements, education...
The same BBC who cut ties with Stone wall, and had a transphobe (Lilly cade) who demanded that trans people are hung on her blog admitting to sexual advances and sexual assault on other AV workers, The BBC impartiality principle it seems is only impartial if you are left wing...
we know who funds them, but in the UK people have problems with telling the truth, it is considered as not polite, and trust me I know, I have lived in your beautiful country for many years, as I am not British I will tell you who funds them, the British establishment, Royals, foreign media barons, American far right Christian disaster capitalists-the Koch brothers, fossil fuel companies, basically everybody who funded Trump and brexit, and the Kremlin of course
@@DC-wt2vi GB News serves them just as much as it does Murdoch. If you have any sense at all, you shouldn't even watch GB News. It is so blantantly full of BS that nobody should ever take anything they say seriously.
Lobbying should be banned and corruption should be a life sentence in prison. You get rid of those two groups + the rich owning newspapers. This world would be so much better.

The tories as a whole have a lot to answer for. They are totally against the rights of the working class (the overwhelming majority of people in the UK) and as such are democratically unrepresentative of this nation. The working class as a whole needs to wake up to the realities of political responsibilities by renouncing the right wing free traders at the ballot box, then rise up together to once and for all rid this nation of the selfish evil of those who would destroy the working class by assuming a right of control for their own greed-driven ends.
The first thing we should have asked ourselves, having voted against "unelected bureaucrats" was, who are the unelected bureaucrats telling us to do so?
The average sheeple will just go "there all as bad as each other" and dutifully carry on in their miserable existence feeding off some crumbs from the table above and voting Conservative.
BBC News won't allow comments about Tufton Street on their 'Have your Say' forums. Nor will they allow the mention of Russian money funding BREXIT and/or the Tory Party.
Truss held a drinks party for her Cabinet. Yesterday I think. Bugger up the lives of millions of people. Celebrate by having drinks with enemies. Good optics!
The debt started with Blair policies, Printing of money for war, printing money for lazy bastards to stay at home through a psuedo pandemic, printing money for a war for Nato in Ukraine, printing money for the war based on lies against Assad. Printing money for a war against Gadafi. Printing money for goverent schemes that made a few very wealthy and ended up in the pockets of the leaders at the W.E.F, W.H.O, Bank Of International settlements. Etc
No, I think Tony Blair removed capital punishment for all crimes when he aligned the UK with the Court of Human Rights (at least he got something right).

I sincerely think that Led By Donkeys should be given a regular slot on something like the BBC news, it might open a few peoples eye's. Will never happen though. Excellent piece.
I think LbD are outstanding... But they are not right for the BBC News, which I also follow. In the US, Reagan to threw out the Fairness Doctrine, something very similar to the charter by which the BBC is run... If LbD got onto the BBC News, we would be strolling blithely down the same dark alley. Better to keep the BBC impartial, keep watching LbD, keep reading quality newspapers of record (Guardian, Times, Le Monde, FAZ, WaPo et al) and dip into various overseas broadcast media. LbD are outstanding, but are not for the BBC.
All dogma and extremism, whether political, economic or religious is dangerous because they do not allow for opposition. Everyone needs to learn about the dangers of free market neoliberalism. Only then can we fight back and eject these so called think tanks from politics altogether.
When Labour is elected at the next General Election the first thing on the agenda must be Proportional Representation. Then there'll about zero chance of getting a Tory Government ever again. Then we can go after these shady externally funded organisations with such innocent sounding names.
That was a truthful statement but next to that should have the same written about Labour, Lib Dems, Greens, and Anything Farage is tied to. Oh and Schwab acolytes. Psuedo pandemic believers. Supporters of Nazi Ukraine. Erm...And Democrats.
Narcissists never admit they're wrong. Politicians, think tanks, where's the difference? Labour will win, due to cataclysmic failures by the tories and not on merit. This time around it will be Labour that are perceived as the lesser of two evils. Look what happened, when the public thought the tories were the lesser evil of the two. We get the govts we deserve, sadly.
She served her purpose, so was of no further use to those controlling and funding the thinktanks, ergo the govt. They may very well do the same to the next Labour PM, as Stammer has been going cap in hand to tory donors for a year and a half.
@@billyandrew Well that makes sense: since we have the ridiculous situation where, generally, those with the richest donors wins, he would be right to court those donors. Sooner we change to banning all donations and taking party funding from central reserves (let's face it, a miniscule amount in scheme of things) the better.
These groups are always being brought onto panels as though they have an "official" role in some way. We need to know who funds them and they shouldn't be used as authorities as they are not, they are vested interests. I hope that Labour deals with these groups as they have promised PR. The British Public is being lied all the time and has been taken to the cleaners by these groups.
I wouldn't hold my breath, were I you. Labour set out on a policy of wooing investors and donors from the tories. What does that tell you? Same money pulling the same strings.
They, pulling the strings, appear to have done with parties now. They own one party and quite likely both, as Stammer has spent the last eighteen months trying to woo tory donors, who are the ones pulling the strings. She may well have been the last tory PM. Labour will step into the political vacuum, brought about by the tory implosion, but Labour are just pink tories now, having cleaned out the leading socialists from the party. Those last five words could have a greater implication than many think.
The Tory way seems to be along the lines of "if it didn't work the first time, let's try it again" as we're seemingly staring down at Austerity version 2.0. Didn't Cameron talk about "Broken Britain" over a decade ago? Yet the UK is still directionless, aimless and isolated in its own peculiar way even more than a decade ago.
It does work. You think it doesn't work because it makes the country worse. You assume the point is to make the country better. It's not. The point of Tory ideology (and every other party like it) is to get the people in power richer by making everyone else poorer.
No, they don't believe in repeating it, they believe in doing it even more blindly. If it didn't work before, it's obvious that we weren't determined enough. That way, they can't be shown to have ever been wrong.
The definition of insanity, basically. All politicians are narcissists, who can never admit to failure and all socio/psychopaths are narcissists. We're governed by the mad.
fantastic work as usual.......infinitely more productive than my day yesterday which was ringing EDI (based @ 55 Tufton St) employees asking them how they can look their children in the eye every night.
Simple answer: they don't have to. Their children are away at boarding school until mid-December. It'll all be over by Christmas. All be over. All of it.
@@edsiebert5986 We need a new electoral system, constitution and parliamentary structure, "out of adversity comes opportunity"? Truss has been a busy little bee; as well as Tufton Street she has been buzzing around the Heritage Foundation, a libertarian thinktank in the USA. Libertarianism has nothing to do with freedom for us little people; it's all about giving corporations and very, very rich people (the 0.001%) the freedom to do whatever they like without fear of any consequences for wrecking the planet or poisoning customers.
If they think the market is "God" and can solve every issue - they should be grateful that they have now received "The word of God". The market thinks they are wrong! I doubt they will change their ways, it not always convenient to hear the truth.
The formor shortest tenure for a PM was 119 days, I hear people are talking about Truss being gone within a week. What a case of "Hold my bear" well.. "Hold my Mini-Budget"
I’ve heard one of their members being questioned about their funding on BBC Radio Ulster and he said they don’t publicise who funds them to protect the funder’s security. However, they should be asked more generic questions, such as, are you funded by oil and tobacco companies and, have you received funding from billionaires or organisations based in the US? These questions wouldn’t affect anyone’s security.
Several years ago the BBC showed footage of a massive anti-Austerity march in London - tens of thousands strong. Then, to show the balance for which the BBC is renowned, they gave footage to a demo by the so-called Taxpayers Alliance. This seemed to consist of about a dozen people, some of whom came up and gurned mindlessly at the camera, and whose friends were touting banners proclaiming "Pro Austerity" or "Libraries Suck". Toby Young was connected to this group at this time which should have been a bit of a warning light to anyone. The Beeb could have found background about this site on Wiki because it was all there - including the fact that one of their early head honchos did in fact have his money in a tax haven.
